Recappage

so on Thursday, i worked OT for the first time. i had to make up for the 2hrs i missed on Wednesday morning (stupid hearing aid!!!). so yeah, i worked until 7pm Thursday night. it was actually nice, no one is around, it's quiet, no hustle & bustle of ppl waving papers around, no printer sounds, no photocopying sounds. nothing. just..silence & i could work in peace. i hope i did a lot in that time. haha.. :P

after work, i had to drive home 'cuz my sister drank at her event held at her workplace. so, meh, at least traffic wasn't so bad. we got home rather quickly. had a quick dinner, i was starving. we normally eat at like 6pm when we get home, but we didn't get home until about 8pm Thursday night.

after dinner & after my brother got home, both him & i headed over to MCBC for some pick up basketball. the turn out was huge. i never knew so many ppl went to play Thursday night bball at the church. so yeah, i gave it a try. i suck. i can't play defence if my life depended on it. at least i'm a little ok on the offense, but i just stand there on the perimeter sometimes. sometimes i'll just stray inside to try & get a rebound. haha..there's too much running involved in bball. boo! haha..but anyway, it was good. we should've won the last game, but oh well!

Friday. Friday was weird at work 'cuz it was pretty much half empty. a lot of ppl in my department took the day off so that they could have an extra long weekend. luckily i had my work cut out for me. i had to prepare the IBM statements. i spent most of the day paperclipping those invoices. that's pretty tedious, but it has got to be done. at least i finished paperclippin' them all, right at 5pm. time to go home. :P

but i didn't go home. instead, i took my sweet time going home 'cuz i drove to work that day (or rather to the subway). i had a lot of time to kill 'cuz i was going to Jon Cheung's birthday dinner at Jack Astor's, but that didn't start until 7.30pm. i decided that i didn't want to go home, & then go to Square One 'cuz that would be a waste of gas. so i went straight to Square One when i got to Kipling station. got there at 6pm. what am i gonna do for an hr & a half? shop? ok fine, that's the only thing i could really do anyway. so i went. checked out the comic store there, checked out HMV, checked out the PJ's Pet Centre. i spent most of my time in HMV. found a couple items that i wouldn't have minded purchasing, sooooo...i bought 'em. used my new credit card for the first time. W00T! yesh, i finally have ONE! hahaha..but i'm not gonna go crazy with it, 'cuz i don't want to spend money, i really have to start saving my money like CRAZY now.

so what DID i buy at HMV? well i'll tell you. i'll tell you right now. i bought 3 DVDs - Con Air, Hero, Batman Begins. & i bought a CD - Crash OST. that soundtrack i've been looking for the longest time. i finally have it. it's MINE, ALL MINE!!!!!!!

speaking of soundtracks, back - in i think - January, i posted lyrics to this song by Robbie Robertson called Shine Your Light. i was looking for the song in mp3 format too. i FINALLY HAVE IT NOW! 'cuz i found it online. i actually downloaded the whole Ladder 49 OST. it's such a good song. & was so appropriate at the end of that movie. so sad.

so anyway, i went to SportChek as well, it's kinda boring shopping there 'cuz it's all the same, & i don't need anything there, so i just sucked it up & went to Jack Astor's early to see if anyone i know was there yet. Jon was there with Nikki. score! then shortly afterwards ppl started to come in. the ppl at Jack Astor's screwed up though. Jon made reservations for 20, in the back it said 20ppl, but on the board at the front, it said party of 2. uh..20 & 2? BIG difference there! & they wouldn't have caught on if Jon didn't ask them when the table would be ready. man..that's crazy. so we ended up waiting until about 8pm for our big-ass table. but 30mins isn't so bad considering that it was a Friday night, & at a busy time.

so anyway, good discussions with Eric Mok & Winnie. Winnie & i mostly played movie hangman. we tied with 1 loss each. she got me with Jumanji, & i got her with One Flew Over a Cuckoo's Nest. i had a Teriyaki Stir-Fry with chicken. yups, asian food at a white restaurant! hahaha...

after dinner, the plan was to watch Da Vinci Code, but that plan sizzled since it was like 10pm already & probably sold out. so we all went to Executives to shoot some pool. played until about 1am. smelled like freaking smoke, but oh well. it was a good night.

Saturday. slept-in. ooh how i've missed you sleeping in. you've been such a good friend to me, but i can't see you as often as i'd like to anymore. for that i apologize.

i didn't do anything today. i woke up at like 2pm, later than that maybe. i thought i was going over to my sister's condo to help her set up her entertainment center, but my sister left without me, & my brother took the van to the gym. so, i couldn't help.

but maybe it was good that i didn't go 'cuz my friend Rachel called 'cuz she was in town for a wedding & had some time to kill between the wedding ceremony & the reception. so i told her to come over since i didn't have a car to meet up with her. so i showed her around my place, since she hadn't seen the place before. it's odd that i've been living in this house since 2003. hasn't even felt like 3yrs, feels like i just moved in. but then again, i spent most of my time in Waterloo anyway.

so we just chatted & watched a bit of playoff hockey, & some other tv-ing before her brother came back to pick her up & go to the wedding reception.

later, i had to go pick up dinner food from Nice Meeting You Chinese Restaurant (what a stupid name for a restaurant, but ANYWAY..). my brother was suppose to come with me, but he was complaining. so i told him to give me the money & go back in. as he was getting out of the car, i mistakingly started to leave before he fully got out. i was like..oh woops! & apologized, but we were both pretty angry to begin with & he slammed the door, while i sped off.

it wasn't an eventful evening, but long discussions with the family. just about stuff. changes are coming.

after that i came up & watched Hoodwinked. it was alright, kinda funny. nice twist to the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood.

welps, time to sleep. full day ahead tomorrow.
