What Are You Waiting For?

again, reflection of Come Thirsty. i normally read this book during my lunch, either while i eat, or after i eat, & i just jot these notes down so i can write it all up here. i normally don't read on the subway ride to work 'cuz i'm normally passed out. hehehe..& i don't read on the way home 'cuz i'm normally listening to music &/or passed out! :P

so here goes. from the chapter "Waiting for Power":

• if you are waiting on God, you are watching for God, searching for God, hoping in God
• great promises come to those who do, "But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength, They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run & not grow weary. They will walk & not faint" (Isa. 40:31)

that last point kinda reminded me of a song Ruben Studdard sang on American Idol, Flying Without Wings i believe.

i guess this one really is all about patience. they don't say "patience is a great virtue" for nothing!
