Happenings

so a lot has happened this week. i don't know if i'll remember to mention everything, but i'll definately try my best.

let's go back to Tuesday night. after work a bunch of us went to a $2 Tuesday Blue Jays game. that bunch consisted of the sisterhood of Odie, Gen, Kat, Joyce, & Letty, then there was Lue, Eric, Tony, Timmy, Jeff, & i. actually, Letty wasn't able to make the game 'cuz she had some errands to run. she missed a pretty good game. we actually got into the SKYDOME (not Rogers Centre), in the top of the 4th inning, thus i didn't keep a boxscore 'cuz we were too late. as soon as we got to our seats, we were greeted with 2 homeruns off Josh Towers (who by the way finally got his first win of the season today against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays after losing his first 7 starts). the game was an exciting one as the Jays made it close in the end but couldn't pull off the comeback. it was also entertaining 'cuz of all the screaming we were doing. actually it was all the screaming that little Timmy & i were doing. yellin' out CHARGE! & We will rock you! hahaha..Timmy even added a couple lines to the end that went something like.. "we will rock you! sock you! & flush you down the toilet!!" hahaha..it was funny, some other spectators got a chuckle out of that.

so after the game, we headed back home for a late night snack at Cafe Hollywood sans Odie, Lue, & Eric. that was a pretty chill time as we were just sitting around & chatting. it was good time to catch up i suppose, although most of us already did that at Gen's suprise birthday party that was held on the prior Sunday.

the party was pretty good, it was a lot of good laughter & chatting although Jeff & i were pretty clueless in most of their conversations 'cuz we aren't really part of that sisterhood & their happenings & inside jokes. but it was still good, sitting out in the backyard making "crop circles", playing with a broken bench/table, & the "haunted shed". Gen was surprised when she came in, so that was good. :)

so that's what happened on Sunday & Tuesday. Wednesday, i did nothing, same as Thursday. those i guess were my rest days. :P i need more & more of those now that i'm working everyday for the rest of my life. :P Friday, was Silas' Starfield listening party/bbq. although we only listened to maybe the first 5 songs of their new album, the rest of the time we were either watching White Chicks, or NHL or NBA playoffs. lots of good chats & jokes from that night as well. it was chillin'!

Saturday, i was gonna go to the CCSA Leadership Session/Kickoff, but when i woke up, i didn't feel real good, so i decided to skip it so i could get more sleep, more rest. i'm also getting sick for the first time in like 3-4yrs, so this isn't something i'm used to either. i really feel drained out of energy & stuff. so yeah, later, i went to an early Mother's Day dim sum with my family, my brother treated. barely ate 'cuz well, yeah, i'm not that big a fan of dim sum (but am a fan of the song dim sum girl! HAHAHA). after that, my brother & i went over to FutureShop 'cuz i was looking for the new Starfield album, but wasn't there. boo, but i didn't come out empty-handed, bought some DVD-Rs so i can finally burn all this crap on my computer that's taking up so much space.

came home, & looked up the location for the Meadowvale Blessings store. so off i went there, never been inside a Christian store before, but it's like any other store. found the Starfield album right off the bat, & went to pay. weird thing happened at the register though as some dude asked me if my name was Ben. to which i responded, "well yeah, my name is Benson." & he was like "oh yeah, i went to highschool with you! Erindale!" & i was like, "oh really? cool!" & that was it. haha i kinda felt bad afterwards, i should've guessed who it was & i think i know who it was. i think he was some dude name Nathaniel, but i wasn't entirely sure 'cuz i didn't recognize him right off the bat. but oh well, i hope i didn't come off as a rude jackass or anything. :S

so i went home again, & just crashed for a bit. i was so tired. i needed to rest for the big Mother's Day dinner at Canyon Creek! oh yeah baby!! i LOVE that restaurant, although it's pretty expensive, but it's worth it! this time i didn't get the usual filet mignon. i tried something new! SHOCKER! :P haha, i tried the Hawaiian Rib-Eye with sauteed mushrooms of course!! it was like pinapple-teriyaki fusion flavoured, so that was intriguing. when i got it & tried, i was like..OH MAN THIS IS SO DAMN GOOD! oh, man..so good. i want some more! lol..it was so filling i couldn't even finish my second side. i had rice & fries as my sides. finished the rice, but couldn't do the fries. but it was so good! mmm!

so i get home again. & have a msg from Vince waiting for me asking me what i was up to that night. oh this is all happening on Saturday if i didn't already mention. :S so i told him i wasn't up to anything. so, Vince, Phil, Joel, my brother, his friend Ken, & i all went to see United 93. that movie is..ok. not the best movie out there. could be on the boring side. there's a lot of confusion, not a lot of dialogue, a lot of undistinguished dialogue, a lot of praying in a different language. my brother thought that the movie was not telling the real story. he's saying that that plane didn't just crash in Pennsylvania, but it was actually shot down by the US military. i can see that being true as well. the whole story about how the passengers of the airline fought back & stuff could've been a coverup for the plane being shot down. as for my own opinion, i can see both being realistic. however, the movie itself portrayed the military as being very incompetent. but anyway..a movie is a movie. raises..awareness i guess?

so that was Saturday, what happened on Sunday?

Sunday i'll just keep it short & sweet. dropped my bro at his church, i go to my church, go pick up bro at his church, go for another Mother's Day lunch (i pay), then go to Heartland, then softball practice, home, out for Mother's Day dinner (with grandma & mom's family), helped sister move her stuff downstairs since she's moving out tomorrow.

i think i got a sunburn.

oh wait, one more thing, i relearned how to iron today! woot!

*sigh* back to work again tomorrow. but next weekend is LONG WEEKEND! WOOT!
