Long Weekend Close

so the "May 2-4" long weekend is finally coming to a close. it's been a pretty packed weekend i suppose, mainly on Friday & Sunday anyway. i already wrote about Friday & Saturday of this weekend, so no need to go over that again.

Sunday started off with church at MCBC of course. after church i went over to my brother's church, MCMAC, to pick him up. there i ran into Joyce before she left for home. she chopped off all her hair! haha..it's a different look from what i'm used to. :) so yeah, Joyce & i talked for a bit, it was nice to catch up with her, as always. then later, i was able to catch up with Annie & Esther as well. i'm actually meeting up with Esther later tonight for some bubble tea. so that should be a good catch up conversation as well. :)

later in the afternoon, H20 (which is the official name of our Chinese Christian Softball Association - CCSA - team) had a team practice (our 4th i believe). our season gets underway next week on Sunday at 6pm. so back to practice, the weather was unbelievable. it was crazy. it was so windy, & the rain was erractic. it would come, it would go. at one point it even hailed a bit, or was it snow?! i don't know. but it was too cold for our comfort, but most of us stuck it out for 2hrs. at least most of the team came out for this practice, only 2 ppl from the team didn't make it.

went home for a nice hot shower, but i was in a rush to get over to Phil's place 'cuz of the surprise birthday party that Viv had planned for him. Viv & Phil were to get there at 5.30pm. i left my house at 5.15pm. it was close, but i was able to make it there just on time. i got into Phil's complex right at 5.30pm, parked the car, & literally ran to his place, although, i didn't really know where his place was 'cuz i've never been there. but thankfully there were signs telling which street in the complex had which number units along that street. haha..

the surprise itself was kinda weird. didn't really go as planned, but in any case, i think Phil was still surprised as he hadn't suspected a thing all day. so that was good. fired up his new grill that we all chipped in for his birthday, & ate a lot of chicken! it was a good party. :)

at the party, i was able to have two good conversation with Odie. once while we were playing Tetris in the basement, & once on the stairs to the upper level. i miss these talks i have with her, where we can mix in serious issues, with jokes & laughter. when we were playing Tetris, it seemed like a lot of ppl were checking up on us. but we only ignored them 'cuz their thoughts were probably silly, maybe thinking that something was going on. but if they were thinking these silly thoughts, maybe they just don't understand the unique friendship that we have. she is like a sister to me, & i am like a brother to her. i will always be protective of her because that's what big brothers do. but anyway, thanks for the talks Odie! :)

today, our days off from work (for those who work), & a "break" from classes (for those in school). so far today, i've just stayed in & cleaned up my room a bit (although, i still need to organize my desk) & vacuumed the upper floor. i needed to clean my room 'cuz it was just getting ridiculous. but now, i feel like i have a lot more room now that it's not so cluttered.

anyway, i think that's enough. i should go do something...else. like clean up my desk.
