Conversation Topics

you know what's interesting. the things you talk about with your friends.

i never really took notice of topics of conversation one would have with a friend until last night when i was at Bubble Republic with Esther. i was able to reflect on our talk as i was going home. i enjoyed our talk, it was..refreshing in a sense. it was really..one of the more mature conversations i've had in a long time ('cuz we all know i'm immature for my age. i do not act my age at all!).

so anyway, as Esther & i were talking, the topics we discussed were different from the normal ones i'd have with others. our topics included stuff like church & church politics, MCBCSL & how it has changed since we've started, relationships (briefly, & i didn't disclose anything really on my side), careers (how we're both working now), where ppl are nowaday, & lastly briefly about Christianity & how ppl reacted when i came to accept Christ as my Saviour.

those aren't topics that i'd normally have on i guess MSN, which is i guess what's so great about meeting ppl in person, especially one-on-one, 'cuz you just don't have that kind of indepth conversations on MSN.

i just find that, as her & i are getting older, our conversations are becoming more about life & the future. more about our lives, about our struggles, more opinionated. more about our careers rather than school lives (obviously). it's just about current issues. no more of those immature things such as relationship problems, & petty problems with like really dumb things. i don't know, it was just..different.

thanks Esther for the great talk, we should do this more often!

seems like i've been having pretty good indepth, in person, conversations lately. let's hope this trend can continue.
