  • dinner while watching Big Fish
so, it was a pretty relaxing weekend, watched a lot of movies and did zero work. just how i like it! :)

so yeah, i watched Fantastic Four finally. i wanted to watch it when it came out 'cuz it was a Marvel movie. i'd like to watch all Marvel movies when they come out, unless it's like really dumb, and/or if i don't recognize who the characters are. but FF are pretty popular. so anyway, the movie was pretty alright. although, i obviously have some complaints about it, or criticisms. i didn't like how the characters were developed, especially when they get their superpowers. the only person that really had trouble with controlling or learning about their superpowers was Johnny Storm aka Human Torch. that's how it should be. they should've had some time to show the struggle of harnessing their powers 'cuz they came suddenly on their trip to space where they were exposed to cosmic radiation. so yeah, i didn't like how Susan Storm (Invisible Woman) and Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) were able to just control their powers split seconds after they learned of them. there was no time to learn and develop really. i dunno, that's the only real thing i didn't like about it. the movie had it's shares of hot girls in it. Jessica Alba & Maria Menounos.

so anyway, i mentioned i went to watch the Warriors badminton team in action against the Blues from UT. it's the first time i've watched the badminton team in all my years here. well, i actually haven't watched much of any sports here regarding varsity teams aside from that one time i watched Women's volleyball for a bit. anyway, i missed the singles matches, but i watched the men's and women's doubles and a bit of the mixed doubles matches before i left to meet up with Winnie. so, i have a comment. there's a guy on the Warrior team and he's an amazing badminton player! too bad he's an import though, i learned that he was an exchange student from Hong Kong. but man, i want to learn to play like him, he was faking everyone out with his shots, and when he returns a smash, he makes it look so routine!! haha, we were awed by his play. haha..half the time, i was like.."what the..omg!" HAHAHA..he was that good. had everyone speechless or laughing 'cuz it was just that ridiculous.

so yeah, went to lunch with Winnie in the afternoon. we had a pretty good chat about anything and everything. it was nice to just sit and talk with her, i don't think we've actually done anything like that before. so it was nice to actually talk in person, one-on-one for a change.

football on Saturday was a lot of fun. 15ppl showed up, and it was the right mix of ppl, so we were able to play 1st & 2nd yrs vs everyone else. it was 8 on 7 respectively. the score in the end was a tie game 'cuz of me! haha! anyway, it was good anyway, although i'm paying for it now. i need to get into the habit of stretching before i play. haha..my durability sucks! i started to cramp up near the end, and then when it was really over after the last touchdown 'cuz my right calf cramped up so bad that i couldn't move my foot at all, it was that tight. so i've been walking today with a slight limp. hopefully i'll be good by Friday's hockey practice. or maybe even Tuesday for badminton. i want to play. anyway, football, it was good, Ivan was the superstar on our team 'cuz he was the biggest guy that could just bowl over everyone with his rugby experience. haha..i QBed for the majority of the time, and threw some long TD passes. there was a stretch where we'd only have one play to score 'cuz of the long bomb! hahaha..but the youngins kept coming back in their own style. but it was fun tackling them, i think made a lot of the tackles for our team, even Brenda was making big tackles. she even took down the biggest guy on their team! haha, it was good! my knee took a pretty good beating, i probably have deep bruising there, but whatever, i can take it. on one tackle, i got a knee right in the crotch, so i was down for a little while. haha, it was kinda funny. but anyway, all in all, it was a good game. should do it again sometime.

so this week, it's a pretty relaxing week. i only have an in-class assignment for Psychology of Adolescence, so it's not too bad. i'll be reading the articles tomorrow probably. i'm probably gonna try get a head start in the readings for Educational Psychology too, just so i don't repeat what happened last time.

oh and i also have my class enrollments this week. i haven't decided what classes i want to take, but i have some ideas. i'm thinking of these classes: Interpersonal Relations, The Holocaust in History, The Dark Side of Sexuality, Children's Thinking, Emotionally Disturbed Child. i only have to choose 3 of these classes to take, and i'm likely to enroll into 4 like always and drop the one i don't like most.

so yeah..that's it! you've been updated in the life of me. WOW!
