Row 2
so, i woke up at 12pm, like planned. :P had a couple msgs on MSN, one of which were from Ayse, but i couldn't really talk to her 'cuz i was in a rush to get ready and eat lunch so i could leave the house at 1pm.
by the time i got downstairs, i found out that Vince called me, so i called him back and he was wondering where i was! lol..i was like "Err, i'm at home?" but he was wondering when i was going to MCBC to sign up for MCBCSL because i had his registration form, as well as 5 others (including mine). haha..when i called him back, there was about 40 spots left.
so i ate quickly and was out the door at about 1pm. i couldn't believe my luck. the 427 was just backed up with a traffic jam, so i told my sister to take a detour, which was pretty much, follow all those other cars lol. then, when we got off the highway, my sister wouldn't pass this freaking slow driver. i didn't want to say anything to tell her to hurry up, but man, i was like..aaargh!
but anyway, made it there on time, and i just got there just in time 'cuz i was the last person that was guaranteed. everyone that was after me was on the waiting list, pending on captains! hahaha..*whew* that was close!
so, after i signed everyone up, i went to play in the gym for a while just to play some basketball. i was gonna play badminton, but the birdies there kinda sucked!
so anyway, it was time to leave for downtown. Lawrence came to pick up Odie and i. before we headed down there, we picked up some Harvey's for Odie 'cuz she hadn't had lunch yet. so we got downtown and picked up Peggy from Union Station, and parked.
the Jays game was pretty good i guess. we sat in Section 114 Rows 2 & 3 Seats 9 & 10. Peggy and Odie sat in Row 2, while Lawrence and i sat in row 3. we were soooooo close to the diamond just behind 1st base and a little into the outfield. we didn't get many balls that came our way, but if we sat on the 3rd base side, we would've got maybe 3-4 balls.
the Jays woke up in the 9th inning, but it was too late. they lost 4-3 to the Minnesota Twins. former Jay Shannon Stewart had the game-winning homerun in the 5th inning. i know this 'cuz i bought a program and kept score. it's a good way to keep yourself into the game. i also bumped into Emily just outside of Gate 5 before the game and met her brother Felix (if i remember correctly).
after the game was awesome. i played the pitching game where it tracks how fast you can throw. it was $2 for 5 balls. my first throw was the fastest at 71mph. after that it was in between 65-69mph. my arm was tingling like crazy after that. my hands were shaking! :S
later on, we decided to see if Odie would be able to get us onto the field so she could run the bases. hahaha..we tried to pass her on as a child under 14yrs. hahaha..well, we were able to get on the field, but we never got to run the bases. aww booo! but still, being on the field was just awesome! we touched the FieldTurf and didn't even feel like grass, just like plastic tassles! haha..but it was really soft feeling. the warning track was made of the same material, but you could feel the difference when you're walking on it. the warning track was a little harder than the grass. we tried to take a picture with Ace (Jays mascot) but he had to leave before we could. oh well! but yeah, it was so cool to be on the playing field!
so the game ended, and we were hungry and it was around dinner time. we decided to go to The Spaghetti Factory to eat dinner, but it was an hr wait for a table, so we were like "Screw that!" and headed over to Front St. i think, and found a restaurant called The Armadillo. i ordered a 8oz peppercorn steak and it was yummy! mmmMMM good! :D
Lawrence dropped me off at my house after dinner, and i showed him, Peggy and Odie around my house. haha Peggy was like, "You live in a mansion?!" lol..no, i don't, it's a big house. :P so yeah, i showed them around the house, and then i made the mistake of showing a Popple to Odie that was in storage. i quickly put it away and closed the door, but she was like clawing at me to open the door haha..crazy girl she is. anyway, after more investigation, i found that we had a pig that had a zipper on its underside. inside was like 6 little piggies. lol..it was like..puppy suprise or whatever it was called where there was a jingle for its commercials that went "how many more puppies are there inside? 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5?!" haha.
aanyway..they left 'cuz Lawrence's car was blocking my dad when they got home. so yeah..that was pretty much my day. it was pretty busy, but it was fun! :)
so tomorrow's still church, dim sum with family, softball, and maybe badminton after that.
