Weekend Adventures

Friday

i woke up pretty late on Friday i'm not even sure what i did in the afternoon, so i guess i'll just skip that part of the day. can't even remember.

anyway, so the evening i went to Joy Fellowship, and it was a bible study on Authenticity. i think the underlying point of the whole bible study was just keeping your faith with God. you don't need to physically symbolize your faith in him like the Jews did (circumcision).

after fellowship, we just mingled for a while, and then i went to the gym to play some bball with the likes of Gilbert, Ben Mar, Hubert, William and Arthur's cousin. i was soooooooo tired out after that. man i'm so out of shape, i need to do some cardio if i want to survive the bball tourney on June 4th. :S

so after that, i was just about to go home, but then we were able to find enough ppl to play Bang! woo! so Hubert, Jeff, Wilfred, Howard, Ben Mar, Gilbert, and i headed off to the nearby Tim Horton's/Wendy's (the one we normally go on Sunday after church) and played there for a while, i think 3hrs. lol..we left at 2am-ish.

i think the highlight of the night was when Gilbert wanted to take a card for Wilfred, but Wilfred wanted to mix up the cards and stuff. Hubert was sitting beside him and telling Gilbert which card to pick 'cuz he could see the cards. Wilfred caught on and then placed the cards where his nipples would've been and stuck out his chest! lol..it was so funny..if you didn't really get what happened, don't worry..it was a you-had-to-be-there moment. hahaha..it was hilarious. couldn't stop laughing for a while.

after i got home, i didn't sleep until about 5am-ish 'cuz i was just up talking to a few ppl. it was a good chat. :)

Saturday

woke up late 'cuz of the late night sleep. so i woke up at around 2.30pm and just bummed around. i was originally suppose to go to a bbq at 4pm, but that got cancelled because of the rain. so instead, we had dinner at our respective homes, and then headed out for some bowling at Classic Bowl at 8pm. we didn't start bowling until closer to 9pm 'cuz we were waiting for ppl to arrive.

when everyone arrived, we were able to take up 2 lanes with the number of bowlers per lane maxed out. so at least 12 bowlers, plus 2 subs. some ppl just took turns bowling instead of opening up another lane. there were so many ppl there. most of them couples.. :S

so anyway, i bowled in a lane with Kary, Tracy, Kevin, Emily/Winnie/Dave, and Kim. i finished tied for 3rd in that lane. i bowled like crap that night. *sigh* i only finished with a 90. Kary ended up with the win in the lane. :D

after bowling, we headed over to Bubble Republic sans Jamie, Kevin, and Dave. we practically took over all the games they had there. Jon and Nikki had a set of chinese checkers. Tracy, Kary, Kim, and Ben had another set of chinese checkers. my brother, Winnie, and i had chess. and Emily and Dan had some chinese game that i wouldn't understand! lol.. :P

my brother beat me in chess. i suck at chess. anyone can beat me in chess. i was beating Winnie in the second game, but then Dan came in and just totally schooled me. :( hahaha..we had to ghettoize the chess game though 'cuz there were some missing pieces. so we used money.

i think we wrapped up around 11.45pm and headed our way home. so it was a busy night i guess.

Sunday

went to church..i was about 15-20mins late. my sister even left before me with her own car. i was late because i was busy packing up the car with the softball equipment and stuff.

so i arrive at church, and i find my sister in the very last row..why?! i dunno why, she's so anti-social at church. she just goes, listens to the sermon, and then goes home. she doesn't try to get to know anyone.

anyway, after church, we went to this pita place to eat. Phil, Vince, and Eric all got something there, but Jon and i didn't. i guess we're not fans of pitas. i never liked it, it doesn't look yummy to me. instead, Phil, Vince, and i went to McDonald's so i could have lunch. when i finished, we still had about 45mins to kill, so we talked a bit about softball, which will not be discussed here. although there was an interesting thing i had to do if i wanted someone on my team. i really hope Phil was kidding around.

so at around 1.45pm, we just had enough of just sitting around and headed to the diamond. Steve arrived shortly after, and then Joel. had a little batting practice and stuff like that. we didn't have enough ppl for a game today though. the weather was a little gloomy, MCAC ppl had ball hockey set up, and MCBC had their first baptism in the new sanctuary. so yeah..not many ppl came, but Maggie, her brother Coman, Joel, Vince, Phil another Joel, Dan, Matt Ho, and Steve did turn out. Joyce was suppose to come, but she didn't!! tsktsk Joyce..you owe me a really big spectacular diving catch... :P (btw, i hope planning for Campus Challenge is going good for ya :))

so yeah, we finished today at around 5pm. surprisingly we played longer then we would have during a game. how odd is that? drove Steve home, and then headed home myself to shower and get ready for grand-Mother's Day dinner at Nice To Meet Ya Chinese Restaurant. hahah it's such a weird name for a restaurant.

dinner was pretty good, i guess. i think i ate most of the dishes. my little cousin Andrew is a really smart kid. he's also very behaved. he sat beside my brother during dinner, so my brother had to take care of him and put food on his plate. haha, but they were talking and playing all night long. i also found out that one of my other cousins, Wendy, is going to university next year! like, whoa! lol, already?! lol..she's thinking about going to either McMaster University or University of Toronto and i think it's for Life Sciences. so yeah, that's really good for her. my aunt wants her to to go McMaster..i would've thought that they'd prefer her go to UT 'cuz it's closer to home. but..*shrugs* haha..so yeah, excellent for her.

i dunno, why, but i never knew a lot about my cousins or even my uncles on my mom's side. i guess we never really spend much time with them anymore. i remember seeing them a lot when i was a child, but..yeah i dunno what happened. but yeah, i found out that my grandma and my Uncle Tony also play badminton. Uncle Tony was asking where and when i normally play 'cuz he wants to play with me. but i told him that i played in Waterloo and during the school year. so yeah..i don't think he'll come all the way up to Waterloo just to play badminton. i was thinking about telling him about the CFB badminton tournament (i think it's coming up), but yeah, i dunno. i was thinking about tellin' my brother when i know more details, but i dunno if he'll go for the $30 registration fee. i think it's a bit much, but Vince told me that there's a lot of draw prizes to be won.

when we were leaving, i also bumped into Melissa's parents waiting for their pick up order! haha..i asked where Mel was, and i should've guessed! :P she was at home watching the Gold Medal game for the World Championship between Canada and the Czech Republic. too bad we ended up with the silver. oh wells! :P so yeah, just said a quick hi and stuff, and then on our way home.

so yeah, that was dinner.

now, i must do some work. paper due on May 18th for Learning Disabilities. it might be smart to read some material for it. ;P
