Bowlinnnng
so i never got a call. but i got a msg instead. :P i actually saw Gordon, my ride, from the window after i went to the bathroom and was heading back to my room.
so off we go..to pick up Ben first..and then to the bank..and then to our final destination -> Classic Bowl. we got there at around 11pm, and it closed at 12am. boooo..so we only got to bowl for about 45mins. finished 3rd behind Mohammed (grrr!!) and Ani.
the ending was quite entertaining. at first, Mohammed was just blazin' by us, getting strikes and spares. but Ani and i were able to catch up to him a little bit. by the time the 5th frame came tho, Mohammed practically put the game out of reach. Ani and i would've had to turkey (3 strikes in a row) the last frame. to add to the excitment, Ani and i were tied going into the last 2 frames. and in the 10th frame, we both got spares, but i choked and only bowled a 3 with the last ball, while he got like 9. boooo. lol..it was fun.
a back story tho. Ben, mid-way through the game, he started to bowl like me. i have a..i guess you could call it..distinct bowling style. i kinda toss the ball into the lane rather than actually bowling it. so the ball has a little air time when i bowl. i dunno it's just my style and prevents me from jamming my fingers into the ball. so yeah, Ben picked my style and immediately started to bowl much better, getting lots of spares and such. what a BITER!
we started a 2nd game and only got to the 5th frame. Ben was actually leading us, getting spare after spare..using my style. grrr...but we never finished it, so it doesn't count! HAHAHA! :P Ani was just fooling around by trying to bowl like a professional and spinning the ball..he wasn't doing to badly at it too.
so overall, bowling was pretty fun. after that, we went to The Fox and the Fiddle. bumped into some highschool ppl that we knew. one of them as actually performing, but i don't think he knew we were there. so yeah, us boys and a girl, were there, just chatting..well they did most of the chatting. it was really loud in there so i had a little difficulty hearing, but that's alright, i knew what they were talking about most of the time.
so yeah..i guess tonight was a good night in a sense that everyone is practically going off in different directions. pretty much everyone has graduated and will be convocating later this summer. furthermore, one friend will be heading to India and the States for a while, while 2 of them are biking across Western Canada for the next month. it'll be a change. i wonder what it'll be like a year from now..i wonder what kinda position i'll be in when i graduate and convocate.
on a totally different matter, all this talk about this Tavares guy is overrated. i dunno, i just don't really see what's so special about him. he's not like a Sidney Crosby who can tear up the QMJHL. i just haven't seen enough to really say..wow. when i look at him, he just looks like a normal hockey player with exceptional skill i guess..but not like..phenomenal like Crosby. i dunno..he'll have to prove me wrong in the OHL..since they're makin' an exception for him.
ok, away from that..gotta wake up a little early tomorrow...like 9am so i can listen for the doorbell. my brother's waiting for a package and will want me to receive it because he doesn't want to pay a release fee if it ends up at the post office. stupid couriers. and then i'm meeting up with Esther to chill for a bit. i also have to make a few phone calls tomorrow too, 'cuz if i don't, my sister's really gonna get on my case. *sigh*..i don't want to call no one! grr!
anyway, i should sleep..it's almost 3am..
out!
