It's Been One Week..
..since you looked at me...
so i haven't really updated since last Monday before that huge rant. so lemme try to remember what it is i did all week long. all i know is that, i have probably broke out of that "depressed" mode i've had in the past while. i think that rant really took a lot off my mind and chest.
so what did i do all week? i can't even remember!
alright, i remember going to see a movie on Tuesday with Rebecca. we were debating between The Interpreter and Fever Pitch. she made me decide, so i opted for Fever Pitch. for me, it was alright. there were some cheesy lines in it and some bad dialogue, but all in all, it wasn't a bad movie. it was ok for me. and there was baseball in it! :P RED SOX WIN THE WORLD SERIES! :P but i wonder, how would the movie have ended if the Red Sox lost? is there an alternate ending? would the movie have even been released? i guess these are questions i'll never know. dunno what Rebecca really thought of the movie tho.
Wednesday...*shrugs*..memory lapse. i think i was planning for softball for today with Joel and Dan. pretty much figured out the details in about 30mins combined time 'cuz i had to go for dinner while we were planning.
of course all week, i was looking for jobs and stuff, applied for a couple, but heard nothing back from them.
Gen also came over one night to check her email 'cuz something happened to her Internet/phone line. so yeah, she came over on Monday i believe. yes it was Monday 'cuz i was watching WWE RAW when she called. so yeah, she came over for a couple hours. watched RAW and the end of a playoff basketball game. i forget which team it was now. not important i guess.
on Thursday i pretty much stayed in all night. afterall, my brother had the car for the whole day. actually, he just drove it to Square One and dropped it off there in the morning while he went to York to study for his final in the evening. afterwards, he took it to the gym. so yeah, i was without a car for the whole night. that was fine. i didn't need it anyway.
Friday was a super long day. woke up at 8am and gave Ben a call at 9am to make sure he was awake. then i called Rebecca to let her know i was coming to pick her and her stuff up. packed up the van and off to Waterloo we go. we left half an hr early (9.30am) and Ben wasn't leaving until 10am. so we got to Waterloo and waited 30mins for him.
when he arrived, Rebecca and i couldn't help but laugh when Ben was reversing the van into the driveway 'cuz he went all over the grass. it was worse than Joyce's reversing job at SportChek last summer! hahaha! :P
then we proceeded to move Ben's SALMON coloured couch to his Freestar so we could move it to Grace's place for storage for the summer. we got to WCRI just as she got there as well, which was perfect timing. my housemates and i bought the couch off Ben for $40 which is a good bargain! :P now when i get a job, i'll pay him, as well as other debts owed to Jeff. man i need a job! :P
after we moved that, we headed to campus on foot so Ben could pay off his library fine, and so i could deposit a cheque and withdraw some money. we also wanted to go to the Bookstore, but it HAD to be closed on the only day i went up. how gay is that? furthermore, i couldn't deposit my cheque 'cuz the machine i went to didn't have any envelopes! grr!
anyway, by then, it was about 12pm, so we went back to WCRI to get Ben's van and headed off to Swiss Chalet for lunch. SO full afterwards. maaaaan! that was a heavy meal. quarter chicken. Rebecca was also way out of it because she was lacking sleep. apparently it makes her go crazy. hahaha..
after lunch, headed back to the Albert St. house to pick up a few more of my things i left behind for the guys to use while i moved back early, like the TV, remote, powerbars, etc. just some small stuff. packed that all up, and then finally headed up to Cambridge to move in some of Rebecca's stuff.
her place was not that bad, i guess it's typical for a student residence, but those stairs are a bitch to climb, especially when you're carrying a box of heavy books! hahaha..oh well, after that she showed me around the School of Architecture. it's nice and small. they even have a cafe inside and a little show room to show of ppl's works.
when we went into the show room, we were just looking around, and then we saw something that Rebecca designed! her name was on a little card! the model looked really cool and was made entirely out of wood, almost like plywood and shavings. she didn't build it tho since she was building another classmates project. apparently they picked several designs to build and hers was displayed! how cool is that? :D i hope you remembered to take a picture of the display Rebecca!
anyway, she also showed me the vending machine she steals food from! hahaha..she would keep bumping it until something fell down through the slots. haha..she saw that a gummie bear package was kinda dangling, so she tried to knock it down. but to no avail. then i gave it a shake, and an Oh Henry! bar fell down! hahahaha!! WOO! a free chocolate bar! SCORE! :P hahaa, that was fun.
so after that, we headed back to Mississauga to Henry's (that camera store) 'cuz Rebecca wanted to do some research. we were there for about 1.5-2hrs. everything that was said in that store went totally over my head. i had no idea what the heck the salesperson and Rebecca were talking about. so i was just either standing there or browsing around. i found a digital camera that i really like by Pentax. it's like the S5.0i or something. it's really thin and cool looking!
after the camera store, we did some mallratting at Square One to kill some time before dinner. we decided to see if she could renew her license..nope, couldn't 'cuz she didn't have a required form. so then we hit up the pet store made fun of some fishes and stuff..then we tried to look for my new shoes that i'm getting through my sister's friend. couldn't find it.
we finally decided to go for dinner, but we took a while to decide where to go 'cuz i had to pick where we were going. we narrowed it down to East Sides and Jack Astor's. apparently she's only been to Jack Astor's once! :S whaat?! so we went there and it was close too.
dinner was good, drew a bunch of pictures on the table, tried to write with our opposite writing hand..food was pretty good too, i didn't finish mine, but yeah..dang..Swiss Chalet, and then Jack Astor's..thank goodness i was wearing track pants that day!
after dinner, she decided not to go to JOY fellowship 'cuz she wanted to take the time to pack up some more for her Sunday move in. so i dropped her off, and then sped to JOY so i didn't miss all of the msg. i missed half of it, plus i was barely paying attention 'cuz i was so tired. by the time i arrived at JOY it was already 8.45pm.
after fellowship there was some loitering being done, talked to a few ppl i haven't talked to in a while, like Joanna. so that was cool. a bunch of us decided to go to East Side Marios down by Heartland. they have the worst service ever. i waited 45mins for my water..which never came. i left before it even came. i was so tired, i wanted to go home and just..rest.
i did so much driving on Friday. used up half a tank of gas! on the way home from East Sides, i saw that gas was jacked down to 77.9 cents/litre on gas stations along Eglinton. i already passed by one Shell station, and then a Petro Canada i think. i went and filled up at the Shell near Eglinton and Creditview didn't really have to wait for long either, thank goodness. so i filled up and went home. half a tank for the van cost a little over $30. ugh!
Saturday was day of rest...in the afternoon. :P i picked up my brother at 5.30pm and then headed to the bank before dropping myself off at Andre's for a hot pot dinner. Jeff, Ben, and Hubert were also there. it was good. we tried to watch Family Guy while we were eating, but there was something wrong with the codecs, so it was freezing all the time. we finally gave up on that and then started to watch Season 8 of Friends.
before we started eating and while we were waiting for Andre to come back with Ben, Jeff, Hubert, and i started a skins game. even tho THEY own the XBox, i was still able to win the skins game. HAHAHA..it was funny! i seem to have the best luck when it comes to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005. hahaa..it was cool!
so we ate, and after, they were gonna play this game called Rainbow Six. it's like a first person shooting game. they thought that they were able to play a 4-person game, but they couldn't get that working. so they played a game of Halo2 before we headed to Blockbuster to find some other games to play. Jeff and Hubert ended up buying NHL 2003 and Rainbow Six: Black Arrow.
so we went back to Andre's place and played NHL 2003 for the rest of the night. which was about 10.30pm-1am. it took us a while 'cuz we were setting up a franchise with Montreal and we drafted some players. after we drafted we decided to make players for ourselves. Andre took pictures of all our created players! hahaha..it was pretty funny. Ben was named FattyFatFat Ass. hahaha..he was soooooo slow! he was the only player that got benched out of all of us when we simulated games 'cuz he didn't have a high enough overall ranking. Hubert had the best player, while Jeff, Andre, and i were pretty much the same. we were all rookies too. Jeff and I managed to make it to the top line by default and Andre found a spot on the 2nd line. Hubert was on the top defensive line. Jeff was a center while Andre and i were wingers, and Ben being the other defenseman.
by the end of the season after we simulated all but one game. we were top in our division and number one ranked team for the playoffs. i think Andre and i tied for the team lead in points. so we simulated our playoff games until we were on the brink of losing the series. haha, and then when we played and were losing with 1min left to go in the 3rd period, 2 of us would switch over to the opposing team and pull the goalie! HAHAHA..we cheaped it out all the way to the Stanley Cup final, which we won fair and square over a Dallas team. our players were racking up like over 50 big hits in each game. it was pretty funny. i was able to bring home the Calder Trophy (top rookie) and the Conn Smythe Trophy (playoff MVP). hahaha..i also lead the team in points (beat Jeff by one point) in the playoffs and also lead the team in hits. hahaha..the lightest guy on the team lead the team in hits! HAHAHAHA! there's something wrong with that picture! :P
nonetheless it was a fun night with the guys. Andre drove Ben and i home afterwards.
Sunday, went to church, and then loitered like usual. went to Tim Horton's/Wendy's for lunch. after lunch, i headed off to Rick Hansen to find Justin 'cuz i wanted to see if i could get the softball equipment from him. there i saw Kat and Esther, both whom i have not seen in a LONG while. even Justin i haven't seen since softball season ended.
didn't get a chance to chat with Esther much 'cuz she was in a rush to go for lunch for a friend of hers who was celebrating her birthday. so that was understandable. i spent most of my time talking to Kat while i was waiting for Justin. so it was good to just catch up with her a little bit. then Justin came and i drove him back to his house. we talked about how he was with Campus Crusade for Christ over at McMaster U and about the whole Do You Agree With.. campaign. it was a good chat. i was able to grab everything from his garage, the league bats, practice bats and all the bases. i'll be keepin' them until the MCBCSL season starts where i'll hand them over to Silas or put them back in Justin's garage.
by the time i had the equipment, it was 1.15pm. i had so much time to kill. so i just drove back to the church to see if i would bump into anyone and change in the bathroom. didn't bump into anyone, it was nearly deserted! haha..oh well, then i took my time heading back to Sonoma Park (diamond we were playing at). i was the first one there. no surprise, and was there 15mins early. no one showed up until 2.05pm. but during that time, i got out changed into my cleats and inspected the diamond to see what the conditions looked like. it was in good shape. within the next half hour after the first few arrived, ppl started to show up in bunches. when we started a game, we were playing 8 on 8 and at the peak, there was about 11-12 per team.
it was a pretty good turnout. i may make it into a weekly thing or a biweekly thing until the MCBCSL season starts. just because i'm organizing this doesn't mean that i'll play MCBCSL. i might play, i might not. it's still up in the air.
i made a lot of errors today AND my glove broke :( i dunno if i'll get a new glove and cleats. but then again, i have no money, so i'll make due with what i have now. so yeah, i'm a little rusty or maybe i just suck now. :( i couldn't hit either. bah! oh well, first game in a long while.
dropped off Steve after softball and headed home where i helped my dad set up the patio furniture and bbq in the backyard. and then the rest of the night i spent relaxing. except for when my sister was talking to me about job searching and stuff. other than that, it was pretty relaxing.
what's up this coming week? that's to be announced.
