Boo Jays Game

haha..it was quite an entertaining night. i went to the Blue Jays game with my brother tonight and sat in the 500 level. good thing we didn't go last night! Jays got rocked! 11-2! but tonight it was a close game, but they still lost, 4-3 to give Gustavo Chacin his first loss of the season. Mike Mussina finally got his first win of the season for the Yankees. my brother was rooting for him and Shea Hillenbrand 'cuz he has them both in his baseball pool. he also kept a boxscore of the game. like he actually wrote down what everyone did. :P

so anyway, the new Rogers Centre looks pretty nice! the new grass instead of the turf is a real face lift. the grey AstroTurf before made the stadium look so stale. now that the new FieldTurf is in place, it makes the place look more livelier.

moreover, there are new screens everywhere. they even have it on the outfield fence now. could be a distraction to the players, but oh well! the JumboTron isn't made by Sony anymore. it's been replaced, and it looks much better, as in the quality is much better. it's a lot more sharper.

so the game. it was alright. couple batters got beaned. the fans were kinda vocal. everytime Derek Jeter went up to bat, the fans jeered him and said that he was "overrated." what do the fans know? Jeter has 4 championship rings and their star shortstop for years. he even has a high .300 batting average, so the fans should shut up and sit down. sure i don't like him, but at least respect him.

another player they were negatively vocal with was Jason Giambi. this he brought upon himself, along with all other players that have admitted use of steroids. so everytime he came up to bat, the crowd would chant "steroids" hahaha..he's gonna get that in every stadium now.

there was another chant, but it was really only from these retarded guys in our section. whenever our catcher, Gregg Zaun went up to bat, they'd chant "Going, going, ZAUN!!" as in "Going, going, GONE!!" i dunno, i thought it was gay.

anyway, it was good stuff nonetheless. i want to go to more Jays games. :)

now tomorrow..debating whether or not to go to JOY. i don't know what the program is, but according to the MCBC forum, it says that it's board games/setting up for Pastor Paula's wedding. so..should i go? i seems as if every time i go to JOY, it's a game night. is it just my luck?
