Since I've Been Gone...From Waterloo

since i've been home, this is what i've done. it's gonna be a long post, so that's a warning!
Friday
i woke up at around 1pm-ish and headed to campus to buy MY books for the spring term. i've mentioned before that i'm taking 2 courses through Distance Education at UW. basically it's 2 correspondence courses that i take from home. i'm taking Educational Psychology and Learning Disabilities. i've already received my DE course package for LD, and there's somewhat a lot of work for it. 1min summaries each week with a net worth of 5% and then 3 written assignments with a net worth of 45%. the final for this class is 50%. :S i'm awaiting my other course package..i hope i like what i see.
anyway, after i bought my books, i headed over to the SLC in anticipation of my key dropping. this will be explained later as i didn't do it 'cuz the guy wasn't there yet, and i couldn't just leave my keys there 'cuz then i couldn't get back into my house. so i went home, dropped off my textbooks, and chilled for a while. i intended to pack up a little, but i didn't get much accomplished.
headed to Betty's place at around 4.30pm-ish because we planned a dinner get together. it was suppose to be an MCBC kinda thing with her, Jeff, Ben, and i, but since she had worship practice right before, Alexis and Simon joined us. we had honey garlic chicken and lots and lots of dumplings! needless to say, we were pretty full afterwards. i was feeling the itis later at CCF.
on the way over to Betty's, i dropped by the SLC actually drop off my key. this is because a prank was being played on Jeff. the prank was saran wrapping his whole room. haha..after dinner and before CCF i had the chance to check out what was done. Jeff couldn't come 'cuz he had to go early to prep for worship since he was leading it. so yeah, Simon was able to drop Ben and i off to check it out. the pranksters were still there when i arrived and i helped out in the wrapping of the jerseys. haha..so funny. i'll upload pictures of the room soon. i didn't get the reaction on camera, but JT did, and it was pretty funny. i dunno if he noticed it at first, or if it registered, 'cuz there was a delay in his reaction..and then he was like.."what the heck..aw maaaaan! hahaha."
hey, at least he laughed. it was funny. afterwards he was trying figure out who was in on it. at first i was denying it, i denied it until he actually saw photos of me helping out with the jerseys the following day. too bad he can punk me back since i already moved back to Mississauga on Saturday. mwahahahaa! what a plan.
anyway, after the reaction, we went to play hockey at 11pm. we played for about 2.5hrs. it was good for the most part i guess. although i did get REALLY frustrated at one point and broke my stick over the pavement. i knew i broke it as soon as it hit the pavement 'cuz the stick didn't bounce off the pavement like it should've. it didn't look broken if you looked at it 'cuz the tape would've covered it. i actually snapped it in half. i still have it and probably gonna keep it as a souvenir! haha..don't piss me off or i'll break your stick! :P mwahahaa.. anyway, i still managed to score 3-4 goals. :P
so we headed back home to play Burnout 3 on the XBox 'cuz Lorna REALLYREALLY wanted to play! haha..so Lorna, Jeff, and i played. on the way home, we picked up a pizza, and dropped of Sarah (Dre's sister). so Burnout, Lorna got off to a pretty quick start, she won a couple times over Jeff and i. but i was just learning to play the game, so i had an excuse. after a couple more tries, i started to get a hang for the game. then Lorna started to lose a lot! MWAHAHAA!! what happened?! :P haha it was fun nonetheless. i wonder if the girls next year will become gamers 'cuz of Gabe and i. haha..it's definately gonna be an interesting, but fun last year at Waterloo! :)
by the time we had enough of Burnout, it was 3.30am. i walked Lorna home, all the way on the west side. we had a pretty good chat about various topics and randomness. dropped her off, slapped on the blades, and bladed all the way to MC. got tired and didn't want to blade uphill, so i took 'em off and walked the rest of the way. returned at 4.30am.
4.30-6.30am consisted of packing what i could, chatting, and watching Friends.
finally crashed at 6.30am. exhausting day.
Saturday
i woke up at 10am 'cuz my dad and my oldest sister, Rosemary, left Mississauga at 10am. i figured it would give me an extra hr to pack up everything i didn't get done the night before. by the time they arrived, i was able to wash up, shower, and pack everything but the bed. by the time we finished packing up the car, it was 12pm, and got home at around 1pm-ish.
had lunch, got the customary question assault about school and jobs and then proceeded to move my stuff up to my room while chatting to ppl online. of course the computer would be the first thing i unpack. it's a must! i need music! yees..music! that's it! ;P
crashed for a nap at 4pm for 2hrs. woke up to my sister screaming at me about a bird in my brother's room. at first i thought she was joking, but she kept on yellin', so i got up and went downstairs to find my dad already in my brother's room with my older sister hovering the door.
there was in fact a bird in my brother's room trying to get out through the window. it was trapped between the blinds and the window. the blinds were closed. what baffles me is, how the heck did it get between the blinds and window, but moreso, how the heck did it get IN the house?! the bird wasn't tiny either. my dad manage to get a hold of it, i think he knocked it down, but he squeezed a little too hard 'cuz he killed the bird. :( the bird was trying to like bite his finger, so he kept squeezing tighter. he threw it outside in hopes that it would fly away, but it was already dead. so sad.
we went out for dinner later at Sushi Tei at 7pm. my dad didn't hear the end of the bird ordeal. hahaha..we kept on making fun of him about being a bird killer! hahaha..a murderer!!! haha. it was funny. i had a yummy meal, and i was so hungry. so hungry that i ate 1.5 bowls of rice. that's like a record for me. i enjoyed the Ebi Fry dish which consists of fried chicken, fried shrimp, and fried crab! it was so good!
for some reason my family have bad luck with animals. lol..first at one of old houses, we had problems with something in the backyard that kept overturning grass. and then in the same house, we had a problem with squirrels coming down our chimney and INTO the house. then those squirrels would die IN the chimney, so maggots would be coming out of the fireplace. it was nasty. and then after that we got a lot of flies..it was crazy. and stupid.
Sunday
so this morning, i went to church. nice to be back at MCBC. when i got there it seemed uncharacteristically empty. i think a lot of the university students are studying for finals or something. it seemed like there wasn't as many ppl as usual. maybe that's just me.
anyway, after service and the message was given, i finally got the set foot in the new MCBC gym. it still smells like new and infested with little children. when i first walked in, i noticed something weird. i stood on the badminton court like i would if i was serving. and i noticed that the lines are completely wrong for the service lines. they're too deep. it should be near where the key of the basketball lines are.
after a while, Rebecca, Joe, Phil, Ollie and i headed over to Wendy's/Tim Horton's for lunch. and then after that proceeded to Barondale Park where we took some batting practice. kinda like a preseason softball tuneup so to say. but we played with baseballs instead.
when we got bored of that we went our separate ways. Rebecca and i went to see Sin City at Coliseum. i thought i was pretty good overall. very artsy. the colouring was very interesting. however, i found the movie going at a very slow pace. it was almost crawling really. i think i almost actually fell asleep. yeah weird that i still thought it was good overall. but the concept was really interesting. i think it took a lot of energy out of me. i was yawning like crazy when i got out.
all day long, Rebecca and i were like..PLEASE DON'T RAIN! 'cuz we were planning on rollerblading too at Lakeshore Promenade (i think that's what it's called). the weather was perfect for blading, aside from the cloudy skies. the temperature was just perfect. it wasn't too hot, nor too cold. it was just cool. Rebecca, you are NOT a bad rollerblader, despite what you say. you do NOT suck. although it is uneasy to watch you go over curbs. one day i swear you're gonna fall down!! AND you scared the crap out of me too when you almost DID fall..otherwise, it was a fun afternoon.
haha, we even went to McDonald's on our rollerblades and tried to order sundaes from the drive thru. haha..but i don't think we were heavy enough to set of the sensors or whatever. then we tried to go in to order, but a lady said that we couldn't go in. now that's a first. in Waterloo, i went inside on my blades ALL the time, and no one ever said a word. then we asked if we could order from the drive thru. they also said no. FINE, you lose customers! you lose MONEY! :P haha..before the door even closes, Rebecca yells out "i HATE McDonald's" hahaha..errr..crazy girl! :) anyway, remember to STAY COOL! :P *SHOVE*
came home, had another yummy dinner. Swiss Chalet. full. had the itis, yet i was still munching on dried mango after dinner. what the heck. i snack way too much now. no wonder i'm getting fat. UGH! fatty mcfatfat. and then after a couple episodes of Friends, i worked on my resume and cover letter. i hope it's good now. *sigh*. it's depressing looking for a job. honestly.
i wonder if i can pull off working a full-time job and studying 2 courses. what do you think? man..if i choose to do EVERYTHING i COULD do this summer, i'd be playing hockey in Waterloo and softball here in Mississauga, working a full-time job somewhere, studying 2 courses, hit up the gym, and go on a cruise.
oh the cruise reminds me of the PT Cruiser story. haha..it involved Joyce, Jeff, and i. haha..Jeff and i were walking Joyce home from the SLC after we finished playing Ultimate the other day. she spotted a green Beetle and punched me. that reminded me that we were suppose to walk towards Biology 1 'cuz there's always a red Beetle there. but we obviously didn't. then i told Joyce that i also play the Beetle game with PT Cruisers and Woodies (cars with a wood pattern). so anyway, i spotted a black Beetle and got her back. then as we were crossing the street, Jeff spots a silver PT Cruiser coming down the street and mentions it. then i was like "silver PT Cruiser!!" but Joyce had already JETTED! hahaha..it was so funny 'cuz i was just running at her, and she was running away screaming!! HAHAHAHA! it was so funny..just imagine Joyce in her black jacket and a huge bag on her back running away! haha..aww it was so funny..Joyce you make me laugh! :P
ahh..need to watch the stuff on my computer so i can delete them! i'm running out of room.
anyway, that has been my weekend. i hope you enjoyed the VERY long read.
