What's Up Doc?!

Someone & Me

well, i haven't updated in a while, so here's a real one..including a collage that i have entitled..Someone & Me. lol..it's self-explanatory. and for some reason, Sylvia, you ended up near the top of that pile in several pictures! :P aren't you special?! and the way that this collage works is that i picked several pictures from my collections, and then they randomly create a pile as you see it now.

alright, so Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday was devoted to my Learning Disabilities class because i had a paper due on Wednesday at 11.59pm. so yeah, Monday and Tuesday were just pure reading and listening to the required lectures for the paper. the paper's topic was on Tests. i was asked 2 questions. one was on the basis of what characteristics test-users should be aware of about tests. the other was what precautions test-users should have while interpreting marks. so yeah, it doesn't sound too interesting.

i took all of Wednesday to write the paper, i started it at around maybe..2.30pm..and finished at around 10pm-ish. the last 2 hours took a little longer 'cuz i was watching American Idol and Lost while i was writing. both good episodes btw! :P so yeah, i sent the paper to Odie so she could edit it a bit..and was able to submit it with about 20mins to spare. :P glad that was done and over with. but i still have to keep up in class 'cuz i have stupid one minute summaries to do.

so, yeah, American Idol was pretty good this week. it was down to Vonzell Solomon, Bo Bice, and Carrie Underwood. i'm a fan of all three contestants, but if i were to choose who got voted off that night, it would've been Vonzell. if you asked me the night earlier, i would've said Bo. after Bo did his acapella performance, i knew he was going to the finals. he did an awesome job! it actually gave me chills..it was that good! :P so yeah..watched and watched until the end of the show and Vonzell got voted off! :( she's gonna have a record anyway! :P she's hot too! ;P hahaha..

but YAAAAAAH! Carrie Underwood!!! i've been rooting for her ever since i saw her on the show! haha..but i have a feeling that Bo Bice is gonna be the next American Idol. it was a pretty good show this year. i wasn't into the 1st and 3rd season, but i liked 2nd and 4th.

so on Thursday, Joel and i decided to check out the SportChek 2 for whatever amount of dollar sale they were having. i saw the flyer on Wednesday, and yeah, i know he was thinking of getting new baseball cleats, and i was also thinking of getting new baseball cleats too. so we went to the sale to check it out. apparently Joel hasn't been there in ages 'cuz when he walked in, he was like, "Whoa, this place looks different! the last time i was here the shoes were still in the middle!" that was ages ago! anyway, so we found the cleats and stuff, tried them on. i ended up getting some Nike cleats, and Joel got some Easton cleats 'cuz he liked this ugly silver strip on it. :P

the girl who was "helping" us wasn't even that helpful. i'm used to the person getting the box, taking the shoe out, making sure all the laces are in, and then handing it to me and asking me how it felt when i had it on. this one we had just got the box and placed it infront of me. that's it. and she got my freaking commission. GAY! :P oh well whatever.

so after SportChek, Joel wanted to go to the mall to check something out, so we went, and we also ended up going to the pet store again 'cuz Joel wanted to get some snails for his turtle tank. when we got there, i saw a lizard or some sort eating a cricket! the cricket was pretty big and it took the lizard like 30mins to eat it all up. haha i was just crouching there for like 30mins, getting in the way of the employees (the tank was right near an employee door). hahaha..interesting i must say! then i worked my way over to the reptile section and i saw a cricket that was out of the tank! lol..but i didn't do anything, i just left it. :P anyway, Joel bought his snails and we left for Vince's place.

so we got to Vince's to drop off 2 snails. Joel got the 3 for $5 deal and since he already has one, 2 were for Vince. and apparently his turtles are already trying to eat the snails! :S lol.. so we stayed there and chatted for a while, and just as Joel and i were leaving, he finally got the call he was waiting for pretty much the whole day! lol..he got an interview! hoooray!

oh yeah, speaking of interviews. I GOT ONE TOO! wooo! i found out on Thursday afternoon! i got a call from Easter Seals Canada (how fitting, i'm disabled too!). i've got an interview on Tuesday morning, so please pray that it goes well and i get the job! :P it's for an Administrative Assistant (Access 2 Entertainment) position. i don't know what the Access 2 Entertainment part means. i should've wrote down the job description and stuff down. :S but, yeah..INTERVIEW! WOOO!! :P

anyway, after Vince's, Joel and i went back to his place 'cuz i wanted to see his turtles eat a fish! hahaha..when we got there, his little brother and i noticed that one of the fishes had a deformed mouth! we told Joel and assumed that one of the turtles took a bite at him. so because of that, that would be the marked fish the turtles would be fed. so Joel did his thing with shocking the fish by taking it out of the water for a while until it stopped moving so it'd be a little slower so the turtles can attack it better. apparently, on that day, the turtles weren't as vicious as they normally are. BOO! but it was still amazing to see the Big Mama tear it up. and it was also amazing to see the fish survive for so long, even when its mouth was completely gone. it was like a hole and we could see into the fish. but anyway, the fished was ripped up! :P

after that i went home to eat and watched the season finale of CSI! which was a very good episode! i had to download it again and watch it again so that i could catch the whole thing. i wasn't really paying attention 'cuz i was talking to some ppl online too, so i missed some parts. :P

later in the evening, i hung out with Mindy. she came over, and then we went to see Unleashed with Jet Li and Morgan Freeman. it was a pretty good movie! i was satisfied, probably one of Jet's better movies thus far. haha the name Jet is so cool! Jet Li! haha..ok anyway. so yeah, it was good just seeing and catching up with Mindy. it's always nice to hang out with her. but i think she's crazy though, going to see a 10.45pm show and still having to work at 8am the following day. psycho!

i got home at like around 12.30am or so and just watched Star Wars. not Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. but Star Wars. :P i borrowed the trilogy and the first 2 episodes from Vince. :P

Friday, i didn't do anything in the afternoon. and it's not like i could anyway 'cuz there was no car for me to drive. so i just bummed around and watched The Empire Strikes Back. interesting how the story unfolds with the information i already know. i like how all the information actually makes sense and not very complicated.

in the evening, i went to JOY fellowship. it was Show and Tell night! haha..feels like kindergarten again! haha..i showed my 12yr old baseball glove. i told the group that it was my first ever baseball glove, and that i love it 'cuz it's just so worked in to my liking and i can still use it, despite the fact that it broke (but repaired). a lot of interesting things were shown. i was pretty impressed with Jen's postcard and Sarah's kid she was talking about! haha it was hilarious that the kid drew lines instead of writing lines. what a smart kid, the teacher never did specify what to write. haha..that was pretty funny. :P

so after fellowship, like some of the guys always do, they played basketball in the gym. this time i came prepared with shorts, sleeveless shirt and my gym shoes. it was pretty good, but my back is killin' me from all that running and jumping.

after bball, went to Montana's with Jeff to drop by and celebrate Alan's birthday. got there in time to watch the OT game between Phoenix and Dallas, and the pieing of Alan's face! hahaha..

got home, and watched the last of the original trilogy, Return of the Jedi. passed out at around 4am after talking to Sylvia for a while and woke up at 9.30am for dim sum with the family. we went to Summit Garden. they have like the worse service man. i was unimpressed. needless to say, we're probably never going back there for dim sum. :P after that we headed to the oh-so-overhyped Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre. it's a nice, big, clean mall. but i don't see anything so cool about it. maybe the cool thing would be the bowling alley and the indoor race tracks. but that's about it. everything else is pretty typical. it almost reminded me of a more American-style mall.

so..that's what's up..what's next in the adventures of Spideymang?
