Seekers (W2005): Semi-Final Playoff: 5-1 W
yups, that's right! CCF has won their first playoff game EVER! WOO! :D we beat a team called Don Cherries. they were a physical team and you're not suppose to be physical in our division since most of us are beginners. they had a couple penalties, and they played a little dirty, but hey, we were able to keep our cool and focus on winning the game instead. but anyway, we won 5-1, getting single goals from, Simon, Jon, Mike, and 2 goals from Gabe. as for me, i was pointless. hehe..i didn't care. i had my chances, and i gave ppl chances too. so it's all good.
our next game, which is the FINALS is MARCH 31, at 7PM at the CIF! come out and support us! :D
more good news! so, i've gotten myself, and 3 other friends a place at WCRI! wooo! no more A-Div, i get to live in those fancy apartments! so yeah..and we can still try for a split-level apartment! so we have a secure place no matter what! i'm happy, now i don't have to look for housing. probably gonna send in my confirmation next week. i'm excited. it's gonna be an interesting next year. :D
alright, Tuesday, i have two 3hr classes. first up is Holocaust & Film. we watched another movie called The Grey Zone. the most known actors in the movie were David Arquette and Steve Buscemi (oo, i wanna watch Con Air now..). so yeah, it was a weird movie. i didn't really get it. but oh well, maybe i'll understand more once i read the article i need to read to answer one of the questions on the take home final exam we got. we have a week to do that, so it's due next Tuesday, the last day of classes here at Waterloo. we have to answer 3 of 4 questions with one of them being mandatory. so really we have a choice of 2 of 3.
then after class, i came home for a quick dinner, and made plans to meet up with two classmates, Grace and Anna from the night class, Contemporary Japanese Society. we planned on discussing the class and studying class notes. i gave up on it 'cuz i fell asleep. however our discussion gave me ideas for our "in-class assignment" which really felt more like an in-class final. most of us thought the assignment was just talking about kaizening the course. but we got a surprise, there was 2 parts. first part was talking about familiarizing a foreigner to Japan, Japanese society and stuff like that. so i was a little thrown off 'cuz i wasn't prepared for that. but i was able to make some stuff up and totally bullshit (lent is over!) on that part. then the 2nd part was alright. i finished in an hr and a half and my hand was hurting like bitch afterwards. ugh! but that's ok, i got to play hockey afterwards haha.. :P
man i gotta start working on my resume some more and my cover letter so i can send it back to my sister. yikes, maybe i'll try working on it tomorrow! i don't feel like working on it tonight. i much rather watch a movie. :D which one, i don't know yet.
the weather has been great this week eh ppl? the winter wasn't that bad either, we barely got any snow. i hope the summer won't be suffocating tho. :| lovely weather, i've been able to rollerblade a bit more, but damn that stupid Columbia St. uphill! it hurts my feet when i get home! and it's a drag to blade uphill! i feel like rollerblading now tho..yes at this hour..
alright, i'm leaving with a song..
Maroon 5
Sweetest Goodbye
Where you are seems to be
As far as an eternity
Outstretched arms open hearts
And if it never ends then when do we start?
I'll never leave you behind
Or treat you unkind
I know you understand
And with a tear in my eye
Give me the sweetest goodbye
That I ever did receive
Pushing forward and arching back
Bring me closer to heart attack
Say goodbye and just fly away
When you comeback
I have some things to say
How does it feel to know you never have to be alone
When you get home
There must be someplace here that only you and I could go
So I can show you how I
Dream away everyday
Try so hard to disregard
The rhythm of the rain that drops
And coincides with the beating of my heart
I'll never leave you behind
Or treat you unkind
I know you understand
And with a tear in my eye
Give me the sweetest goodbye
That I ever did receive
Pushing forward and arching back
Bring me closer to heart attack
Say goodbye and just fly away
When you comeback
