London, Ontario..not England
anyway, before i get to the stuff that happened in London, lemme talk a little more about the 2005 Science Grad Ball i went to a couple weekends ago. so yeah, it was a good night, a long night. started off by going to Joanna's place 'cuz that's where all the girls were primping up for the night. us guys meanwhile where playing some games on the bigass XBox since we were all pretty much ready to go.
so we leave at about 6.30pm for Waterloo Inn. there were two different balls going on there, one was the SciGradBall, and the other was the Eye Ball, which was for Optometry. anyway, when we arrived, we bumped into Joyce and some others that were going to the Eye Ball (haha, get it..eyeball..optometry..eye ball? yeah? yeah? haha) anyway...so yeah..off to the 2nd floor we go.
so we sat down, took a few more pictures and whatnot and waited for the food to come. the food came, we ate, lalala. you know..all that stuff. then the comedian came up on to the stage 'cuz that was like the..thing. i dunno what to call it. all i can say about the comedian is that he sucked. i wasn't even laughing. i was just pulling a Joey Tribbiani..y'know..where he just laughs along without knowing what's going on? y'know? anyway, i was actually falling asleep while he was on.
so after he shutted up, awards were giving out..y'know like best dressed, stuff like that..glamour stuff. several CCFers won awards. :D so yeah..then came like million of picture time..and then the dance..the DJ sucked..or not so much the DJ, but the girls who gave him the list of songs. the list of song selection sucked. so, i never danced. i just sat. we left at around maybe 12.30am-ish to Mike's house.
so we're at Mike's and we bust out the poker chips and start to play some poker. we played until 4am. by then, i was so tired, i just went all in so i could leave. i didn't like playing limits..makes the game so much longer.
so yeah that was Science Grad Ball 2005. you can check out pictures from the grad ball at my Imagestation (and pictures from hot pot during Reading Week). this was probably the last grad ball i'd go to since i won't be going to mine. why? because i don't know anyone in my program. :)
i just noticed that i started the last 5 paragraphs with "so." oh well! whatchagonnadoaboutit? nothing.
i went to London, Ontario (not England, altho that would've been COOL!) this past weekend to visit my friend, Genevieve. she came up to Waterloo to pick me up on Wednesday night, so we went to dinner at BubbleTease and then met up with another friend of her's, Matt and went to Symposium for some dessert. the hot chocolate there tastes terrible. so we left Waterloo at around 11pm for London.
we arrived in London at around 12.30am-ish. and got a quick tour of the house. their place is nice and clean! haha..pretty neat and homey. much better than my basement home! haha..
anyway, while there, we watched a lot of movies i was awake for all of them, whereas Gen..well she was awake for most of them, sheesh! Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Ong-Bak, White Chicks, Napoleon Dynamite, Robots just to name a few. i don't remember all the movies we watched but it was a lot. Robots was pretty interesting, but it's a typical hero movie.
on Thursday night, we went out for one of Gen's roommate's birthday dinner at Mandarin. didn't eat much 'cuz i was full from the late lunch we had.
on Friday, what did we do Friday..we went grocery shopping, and then went out for dinner at a Viet restaurant called Ben Thanh's with her sisters, Tiff and Mel. and then we just watched movies for the rest of the night.
on Saturday, we went bowling. that was pretty fun too. we both manage to deteriorate with each game we played. she bowled 98, 86, 66. while i bowled 148, 138, 131..i think. i had to adjust the way i bowled 'cuz of my ankle..it actually affected the way i bowled 'cuz of my follow through. then later in the night, Tiff cooked us a good meal (it was good, for real!) and then we went to watch Robots. which wasn't too bad.
on Sunday, we went bowling again, and this time Tiff joined us. she was a rollercoaster in terms of bowling, Gen was pretty consistent, and i improved with each game. Tiff bowled 103, 45, 73. Gen bowled 73, 69, 79. and i bowled 130, 139, and 168! woo! the last game was cool! i had like a 71 going into the 6th frame. and then i bowled strike, strike, 9-spare, strike, and then in the last frame i bowled a 7-split and only managed to knock down the 2..ALMOST got the split, but the pin that slid over didn't hit the pin.. boourns. that happened twice. yeah, then Gen cooked dinner for us, and we ate..it was good! man i should have ppl cook for me! hehehehe..so yeah, then i had to catch the 7.30pm FedBus back to Waterloo.
i was passed out for most of the ride, but when i woke up i was like where the hell are we? 'cuz we were taking a lot of country roads. but yeah, then i recognized Erb and University. so yeah, didn't get back in until about 9.30pm.
so yeah..now it's Monday..going home on Wednesday! haha..woo! Easter Weekend..apparently there's potentially a lot of things to do. so i'm looking forward to the last weekend before we fry our brains studying for finals!
