Speaking Of...
*sigh*..
i should be sleeping, but i'm not. i want to sleep. but i'm not. why is it that when you should be sleeping, that you don't want to, but when you should get up, you want to sleep? why? even when i know this, i still do it. why?
life has been a little interesting as of late. not that anything interesting is happening to me, but rather, my surroundings. people. sad, this is interesting...whaaaat?!
it's funny how one's situation is connected to something, or someone a couple weeks later. there's this one guy that is a complete dumbass. and i mean it in the most literate way you can think of. this guy is a player. this is a guy that i want to kick his ass in so hard just to knock some moral sense into him. i never liked this guy from the first time i met him. i just had a bad vibe from him without him even saying a word. this guy is bad news. i never want to get to know this guy unless he changes. i'm not gonna talk about him anymore. he's just an idiot.
course evaluations are being done this week. so far, one evaluation hasn't been so good, while another has been pretty good. it's obvious that my Holocaust & Film prof got a evaluation from me seeing that i didn't like the way he taught the class. he was too biased.
as for my Contemporary Japanese Society class, i gave my prof a good review because, well, he taught well, he kept the class interested for the most part and he lets us "kaizen" our papers. "kaizen" meaning continual improvement in Japanese. so yeah, he'd mark our papers and hand them back to us the following week and let us improve the paper for hand-in the following week for remarking. isn't that cool? so yeah, i got my major essay back today so i could "kaizen" it. i got a 72% on it, so i've got much improvement to make on it. so i've got a week.
haven't done evaluations for Soundtracks: Music in Film or Sociology of Mental Disorders yet. i'll probably be doing them next Monday and tomorrow, respectively. speaking of S:MiF, we got out test marks back for our 2nd test. i was expecting like a 60-65% on it because i barely studied for it 'cuz of the CJS paper. i was happy when i saw my mark 'cuz i got a 70%! WOOO! haha..hopefully i can raise my mark even more on the final! i think my worst class is SoMD 'cuz i only did the midterm. i had the option of writing a paper, but i opted not to. i didn't want to write more papers, and i didn't have much time for it anyway. so yeah, hopefully all goes well on the final! :D
speaking of finals, i dunno if i mentioned it before, but i only have 2 finals, S:MiF and SoMD. for CJS, we have an in-class assignment as a final (don't even know how to prepare for it! dah heck!) and for H&F it's a take home exam that we get a week to do. so that's pretty sweet. my finals are on April 12 at 7pm (S:MiF) and April 13 at 9am (SoMD). and then i'm free for the summer..
actually, not really free for the summer. i enrolled in some summer courses thru Distance Education. i'll still be home in Mississauga, but i'll have to do school from home. decided to take Educational Psychology and Learning Disabilities. i have a 3rd course, Studies in Children's Literature, but i'm most likely dropping that class.
man, speaking of the summer. softball season is fast approaching. i haven't decided what i'm gonna do sporting-wise this summer. i have lots of options. well, actually i don't. i could play in either MCBCSL or CCSA softball leagues and play ice hockey for the UWCCF team, since i AM enrolled in school. however, the problem with hockey is that, the games are in Waterloo. not sure if my parents would appreciate me driving up to Waterloo almost every week just to play hockey. actually, i'm pretty sure they won't be happy.
now, softball leagues. i dunno. i haven't decided where i'll play. i've always wanted to leave MCBCSL at the top, winning the championship. it's pretty much been my goal for the last 3 yrs. would've retired if 3 Scoops or Stumped! won, but we lost. however, win or lose next yr, it could very well be my last. then again, don't believe me 'cuz i've been saying that for a while.
CCSA is an intriguing candidate because it's much more competitive, and you can be competitive, whereas in MCBCSL, you kinda have to watch that. it's more of a fun league than about winning. CCSA is kinda about winning, but with fair play and sportsmanship. yes, MCBCSL encourages that too, but i dunno..CCSA is a larger scale. it's supposedly where the elite play. haha...i wanna see where i stack up against those guys; however, i am NOT knocking the guys at MCBCSL in any way.. if not this summer, then possibly next summer.
so that's where i stand with the softball issues.
anyway, i should get to some more packing for home, since i'm going home tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon. haha yups! it's long weekend! altho, i wish we had Monday off too! boohiss to that! i'm already off on Fridays! grr! but anyway, yeah, my dad's coming to pick me up because he's gonna be in London tomorrow, and he's gonna swing by Waterloo on his way home. so everything works out! :D
so, since i'll be back home, and my computer isn't coming along, there probably won't be any updates until i come back to Waterloo for the final stretch!
so have a great long Easter Weekend! :D
