F2005 Seekers - Game 4: 5-0 W & Game 5: 7-1 W

so yeah..that's pretty much what i've been up to the last couple days. fascinating isn't it?
what should i talk about 1st?
yeah, i have no idea why i went to bed at 6 in the morning on Saturday night/Sunday morning. i don't even remember what i was doing up..maybe watching The Fifth Element or something on tv..i think that was it. yeah, it came on when i was blogging, so i just decided to finish watching it anyway.
was totally not expecting to be awoken by my sister about going dim sum. if someone had let me know about that, i would've went to sleep a little earlier than that. but yeah..anyway..i have the tendency to wake up like someone had shocked me when someone tries to wake me up. but yeah, anyway, i kinda woke up on the bad side. i was a little grumpy in the morning...
later in the evening, we went over to Scarborough to eat dinner at this place called Magic Wok. my sister's boyfriend suggested the place. we even made reservations, but the thing is, it's useless to make reservations 'cuz, well they don't really keep them. kinda retarded really. the place is pretty small too. but anyway, we waited, & good thing it wasn't too long 'cuz we were getting a little restless. anyway, the wait was well worth it. the meal was really good, the food was awesome..i almost ate from every dish (all except for the veggie dishes! HEHEHE). now me eating from almost every dish is a rarity! HOORAY! :P good food...go eat there! Magic Wok in Scarborough!
after dinner, i went over to Gen's place to watch Basic..took us TOO long to decide on what to do! Gen it's always your job to plan things! remember that deal! stick to it! :P anyway, Basic was actually a pretty good movie. for those who don't know, it stars John Travolta & Samuel L. Jackson. it's like a military murder/mystery/drugs type movie. a lot of plot twists! i liked it, kept you thinking 'cuz the story was always changing & you don't know what was real or made-up, you don't know who to believe.
left really early for Waterloo on Sunday. gave Betty a ride back up too so she didn't have to take the FedBus back. yeah i'm nice! :P haha..anyway, yeah, had to come back by 2.30pm at least 'cuz i had a hockey game at 3pm. played against our rivals, C-Cups. grrr, i never liked that team & that day just proved it even more. when they're losing, they just started playing a little rougher, as in..breaking the rules. they kept on hacking & slashing us. it was really annoying.
anyway, when the game was 5-0, the refs called it a mercy. we were confused 'cuz mercy rule is 6 goals, so i guess the ref thought we had 6 goals. so we played another 21 minutes for fun. we "mercied" them midway through the 2nd period. i finished the official game with 1 goal, 2 assists. but after full time, i finished with 3 goals, 3 assists. i had enough of them hacking & slashing at me, so i just started to try & score often, they can kiss my butt. meh..stupid. i even tweaked my bad ankle in this game too on a breakaway. i tried to brake right (so i was facing left) so i could cut back across to the left to tuck the puck in the net (goalie should be out of position), but..kinda..rolled it..not severely enough though, so that was good, but i didn't score either. boo! oh well..
this afternoon (Monday), we had the live fantasy draft for the Yahoo Pool my brother set up. only my bro, Joel, & i were available for the draft! hahahaha..which could've been a good thing 'cuz we got to pick who we wanted on our team with what was still available to pick from. right now, i even already got 2 trade proposals from other teams. kinda sad that there were only 3 ppl available for it. haha..oh wells! it made it go by faster too.
so yeah, another hockey game tonight! WOOO! this time it was The Waterloosers. they pretty much had 3 guys that ran their team. so we were able to contain them. in this game, it started out pretty tight..no one could get anything really going. when we scored, that's when things started to get rolling for us. we won the game 7-1. i was able to score 3 goals, & add an assist in this game (season totals - 5 games: 9 goals, 5 assists = 14 points). my first goal was on a nice pass from Joanna from behind & i just let it roofed it to the top left corner. the goalie's weakness was high shots 'cuz he goes down all the time. the funny thing about that goal was that two players from the other team collided behind the net..& then Joanna kinda reluctantly retrieved the puck 'cuz she felt bad that she would get the puck 'cuz they fell ran into each other haha..& then she felt even more bad when i scored when she passed it to me. HAHA..kinda funny to me..
anyway, 2nd goal was a garbage pick up. i dunno who shot it, but the puck was sitting right infront of the goal line behind the goalie and i just shovelled it in to the net. my last goal was off a breakaway; lofted it over the right shoulder of the goalie. on that particular shot, i finally decided to try something different 'cuz on my previous breakaways (i had like 3-4 in that game alone), i tried to go high left side on him, and i guess on the last try, he thought i'd do the same, so he committed and i just shot it to the left instead and fooled him. haha! yea I FOOLED YOU! :P hehehee..anyway..my assist was on a 2-0 break with Eric..i think he scored 5-hole. yea! :P Eric plays hard! haha..
by the end of this game, i was getting pretty pissed off..actually i was pretty pissed off from the get-go 'cuz we couldn't get anything going. i dunno why i was so riled up this game, but i was. maybe it was in the spirit of Halloween. Devil's night. but yeah, i was getting pretty irate in the 3rd period 'cuz these guys were playing the body..they actually would push, shove, check us. i got checked a couple times..& i know these guys can stop. i'm kinda just like.."where are the freaking calls!!!" bah..ANYWAY..
oh yeah..i also should've broke my ankles on two occasions during that game. on two breakaways, i shot, & then i couldn't stop or turn & fell & went feet first into the boards. that is a no-no in hockey. you never want to go into the boards head or feet first, the reasons are pretty obvious. so yeah..i went feet first twice. two other times i hit the boards sideways..the first time totally knocked the wind out of me. man it was a hard fall! lol..i was laughing afterwards. i would blame the already weakened ankle from yesterday, but the ice is pretty bad out there..or maybe it's just my inability to stop properly. maybe the latter for the most part, but whatever. haha..i fell too much that game..fell hard into the boards too much. hahaha..
it was still a good game nonetheless. it was a good team effort, & Elliot played great in goal. probably the best game he's played this season & against the team that we're likely to see in the finals in the playoffs (yes, we WILL make it to finals. we HAVE to!). our defence was really on tonight. but as a center, i don't think i'm playing the defensive aspect of the game properly. i still find myself hovering at the blue line like a winger. i don't think anyone knows what i'm talking about. oh well..
so yeah..that was that.

it's NOVEMBER already. geez. in a month & a half..i'll be half way done this year..& one term away from GRADUATING!!!!

- installed Bit Torrent on the main computer @ home for sister
- taught her how to use it
- taught mom & other sister how to create new inventory files in Excel for work
- 5.30pm - went out to Scarborough for dinner @ Magic Wok for my mom's birthday
- 10.30pm - went to Gen's to watch Basic
- 9.30am - MCBC for church
- 12.30pm - left for Waterloo
- 3pm - hockey game
- 4pm - watched the football game on Global - Broncos vs Eagles
- vegged for the rest of the evening
- 12pm - Yahoo Fantasy Basketball live draft
- 9pm - hockey game
