ok so nothing really interesting happened for the rest of the week, so maybe i'll just skip straight to the weekend. starting with Friday...or maybe a little bit before Friday.
back home for the weekend, Victoria's parents were able to drive Betty & i back on Thursday night after Alpha. so that was cool. we stopped by her place before we headed back, and her basement apartment was pretty nice. but then again, 3 girls live there, so it's clean, and..um..prettied up! :P
Alpha was..not as interesting as the previous weeks. maybe 'cuz we didn't really have that much of a discussion about anything. we mainly talked about baptism, and what it means. didn't get too much out of it except for many an analogy of baptism like a wedding/engagement.
so anyway, i totally passed out on the ride back, and woke up just as we got off the 401 Mavis exit..haha..perfect timing. called my parents to have me picked up at Square One.. :D
today, i didn't wake up until like 3.30pm. hahaha..11.5hrs of sleep. sweet. :P didn't bring home any work too! so it's all play this weekend & then work when i get back to Waterloo.
went to Red Lobster for Matt's bday dinner. man they have this new thing there called Endless Shrimp..so a bunch of us had it..i only had one refill (popcorn shrimp)..i suck! lol..ben leung (from mcmac) & matt had the most refills. pigs!! haha..but it was good!!! :P it was nice to see some faces i haven't seen in a while like Esther, Pam, Gen, & Ben.
afterwards, the girls that were there went off to MCMAC to bake some goodies for tomorrow's clothing drive they're holding tomorrow at their church (at least i think that's what it is), while us guys went bowling at Classic Bowl. there's some guy bowling there for charity, and he's bowling for a Guiness World Record too. the record stands at 100hrs, he's trying to beat it by 20hrs. he's ending today apparently. when we walked in, we saw him bowling from a chair..to me..that's not real bowling man! lol..real bowling is like walking up & bowling...but yeah, that's so tiring!!!
so anyway bowling, there were us 6 guys..& it was close at the beginning...except for Jay, he was bowling like crap. but then i was able to break away with a couple strikes & spares. Jay made a pretty nice comeback bowling some spares & strikes too, but his comeback started a little too late. i was able to win with a 150 score..& i think Jay finished in 2nd with like 134 or something. we started a 2nd game, but we were only able to get through like 4 frames before time ran out. i don't like how Classic does it by time, i like how Planet Bowl does it by game. and i think it's cheaper at Planet too. meh!
anyway, had a poker night here afterwards, it was just Jay, Matt, Marc & i. we played dollar games..'cuz we already spent enough money tonight. Matt won the first game, Marc finished 2nd. i won the second game, Marc second again. haha..Marc finally won the third game, with Matt finishing 2nd. we were kinda watching Batman Begins as well while playing poker. haha..
haha funny moment though. on the way over to my place, Marc was like "racing" my brother & i. we were stuck behind a Honda Civic hatchback while he was in the left lane, but he boxed us in, so that we couldn't pass the Civic. but whatever, we made a right turn on Erin Mills Parkway anyway, & he followed behind, but then he quickly made it to the left lane before we could so he lead the way. we all made a left turn on some street that i never know what is called. Emily you can attest to that! ;P haha..and then it was North Sheridan Road i think right? anyway before we made a left on that street, Marc was infront of us..probably thinking, "Yeah, I'm gonna be the first one there! Haha suckers!" & he kept on taunting us with his braking..kinda like strobe lighting it..constantly flashing his brake. but we wondered if he knew to turn left on North Sheridan..so i never signalled to turn left..hahahaha..he didn't know, he kept driving straight! HAHAHAHAA..it was so funny, my brother & i couldn't stop laughing. same with Matt who was behind us. hahaha..it was hilarious. it was a "you-had-to-be-there" moment i guess. hahaha.. :P Marc is so jokes.
so yeah, i found out my exam schedule. & i only have to write 2 exams too...i think. & they both fall on the same day. December 17th. & they're back-to-back, & they're on a Saturday. what the heck! boooo! & 1 is in the afternoon, & the other in the evening. apparently there's a rule about back-to-back exams now, but the rule is so dumb. essentially, they're still back-to-back right, but i get to write one either earlier or later by 1 hour. which isn't really much. but yeah, i think that so-called exam "relief" is crap! boo! it should be deferred to another day if anything!!!!!
you know what else is crap? 3 ppl in my Sociology of Education class. we needed an unanimous vote on doing the alternate assignment instead of the final, but those 3 didn't sign the contracts that we needed to sign to get it approved. dammit!!! the assignment was so simple too, we had 7 choices to choose from, but noooooooooooooo....they want to write the freaking final, or they were too lazy to get to class & hand in their damn contracts. that's gonna screw me over. maybe even the class...i'm sure ppl who read the email out from the prof were groaning & wondering who the hell the 3 ppl are so we could kick the crap out of them. :@ so much info to know now. booo!
so yeah, anyway, at least the good news in the Sociology of Education class was the fact that our prof gave us a week extension on the Brief Research Paper. but y'know...i think i'm gonna still try to get it done a bit early. ahhaha..yeah..ok b..like you're really gonna do that!!! :P
anyway..bye!
