wow. fun week.

so i guess i'll talk about the hockey game huh. as i've stated now for the third time, we won 5-2. our normal goalie, Elliot was out of town, so we had a fill-in for him. some dude that plays A league this term. apparently he has played in all different levels. he was pretty solid for us & made some timely saves! i'm glad he was able to have fun with us. :P as for me, i was able to score 2 goals, bringing up my season totals to 5 goals, 2 assists in 3 games. that's like 2.3333333.. points per game! YAY! :P anyway, i thought my goals were pretty nifty. i'll try to explain them as best i can.

has anyone ever seen that nifty goal that Paval Datsyuk of the Detroit Red wings scored on Marty Turco of the Dallas Stars? where he like deked, and then pulled it behind him and shot it? i kinda scored something like that, but not as nice, and i had a defender infront of me. so i faked a shot to the left, brought back behind me (without spinning), started drifting right, and then shot it to the left off the inside of the post and in. wee! that was an exciting goal! :P my 2nd one i deked the goalie to the left and then brought back around him and scored on a backhand on the right. in my opinion those have been my best goals all season. or at least...pretty. :P

i think the team we played on Sunday will be the team that we'll be facing in the Beginner League finals and i think they could play a lot better than what the score reflected.

anyway, as i was studying for my Educational Psychology test..i've come to a conclusion. for some strange, and maybe stupid, reason, it's taking me a lot longer than anticipated to complete any tasks i set goals for. for example, remember that fact sheet i did for Sociology of Education. i thought it would take me one night, or no more than one night and half a day to complete it. instead, it took me that Tuesday night and ALL of Wednesday to complete it. took way too long to complete, and i had to suffer with a bad mark on my Introduction to Human Sexuality test..at least i passed that. i get my fact sheet back on Thursday, so it better be a good mark.

so yeah, that was just one example. another example would be just this past weekend. i thought i'd be able to get through at least 2 chapters for my EP textbook, but i only ended up finishing one chapter. then i thought to myself the next day, ok 6hrs should be sufficient enough for me to finish 3 chapters (2 of the chapters were shorten by the professor). those 3 chapters totalled just over 70pgs. i didn't finish reading them all until about 2-3am.

outrageous. does it really take me THAT long to read that many pages? something's just not right. i'm studying the way i've always studied. do i need to change my study habits again? in my last year of university? i thought i'd have it down pat by now.

frustrating.

anyway, so i went to my Sociology of Education class this morning with my housemate. we agreed that, if the class accepts this whole "assignment replacing final exam" idea the prof put before us, then there would virtually be no reason to even attend class anymore. since the class doesn't even have a mid-term or anything of that sort, only assignments, what was the point in even going to classes? sure it would help us learn the different sociological theories related to education, but we could probably learn that stuff on our own using the textbooks or whatnot. such a waste of time. i guess i'd prefer to do one of the 7 choice research assignments the students in the class have designed over a 150-200 multiple choice final that covers everything. seems like less work to me. :)

hot chocolate is so good.

you know what's annoying. when you drop someone in your hockey pool because they're not producing, starts producing. what the heck! grr..

did i have more to say? hm..well if i did, i guess i forgot. oh well!

24 days.
