Killer Friday
Friday seemed like a long day, and maybe it was.
i didn't wake up until about 1pm, when i originally wanted to wake up at maybe 11am-12pm. but yeah, that never happens, so ...1pm it is. so i had an hr to wash up, shower, eat lunch 'cuz my exam review (to look over a test i took last week) was at 2pm. i didn't leave until 2.15pm, but that doesn't matter, we could go in to look whenever we wanted between 2-3pm, so that was cool. man, after looking over that test, i could've got a better mark had i had more common sense (AND if i studied more obviously). but meh, what's done is done. gotta kick ass on the next test.
so yeah, came back and had about 20mins to spare before i had to leave for hockey practice from 4-6pm. we left early at like 3.25pm, when we were originally gonna leave 10mins earlier. luckily we didn't 'cuz when we got there, we were the first ones there and no one arrived until about 3.45pm.
practice was hardcore. Emily's friend, Kevin came to coach us and gave us some drills to do. we did a lot of skating drills, man it was tiring. we did crossover drills around the 5 faceoff circles; step-over crossovers along the blue and red lines; forward & backward crossover around the 5 faceoff circles (always looking at the clock); then we did 2 versions of the suicide runs (he referred to it as the monster drill).
so the 1st monster drill was to go from goal line to red line, red to blue, blue to blue, blue to red, red to goal line. we had to stop all facing one side of the boards. i had major trouble stopping left 'cuz i can't. on the last stop, i totally wiped out and landed hard on my ass. i swear, it felt like i severely stretched my ass-crack. ahhaa..and it knocked the wind out of me pretty good. the 2nd monster drill was similar with the stopping, but rather, we go from goal line to blue, blue to goal line, goal to red, red to goal, and so on with every line. THAT was tiring!
after the skating drills, we were able to design our own drills with what we learned earlier, so that went on for about 10mins. we did some shooting drills, which was kinda boring since there was no goalie. passing drill was pretty alright, the key is to not make any noise when sending a pass or receiving the pass. it shows control. so yeah, then afterwards, we did some more different passing drills and at the end of the practice, we had a little 4on4 scrimmage. we had to score on bank shots since we turned the nets around to face the back boards.
luckily today, i'm not feel sore, so that's a good thing. we have a game tomorrow and we already face a dilemma 'cuz we have no goalie for the game and no one wants to play goal.
so yeah, after practice just came home and had a quick shower and dinner while watching the news before i headed off to CCF.
CCF was bible study on Ephesians 2:1-10. kinda a long passage. i think what i got out of it was the message of God's grace and mercy for us. God was merciful to us because He didn't give us our deserved punishment, which is to go to hell for our sins, but yet, He was graceful towards us by giving us His undeserved love and salvation.
furthermore, the topic of sin was brought up in our discussion again 'cuz we talked about transgressions and sin, and why both words were used. both words were used to encompass everything, since transgressions describe a violation of laws, command, duty, or moral principle. whereas, sin describes..well sin! lol.. while talking about sin, it just reminded me about the discussion we had during Alpha, like what is sinful nature? why is it addictive and stuff. Kev brought up a real good passage that describes this to us:
so yeah, after CCF, a bunch of us went to BubbleTease for a snack/dinner/drink and just chatted and stuff. then, Jeff and i played some X-Men Legends 2 until about 4am. but at 3.30am, some idiot person pulled the fire alarm. so everyone had to go outside in the cold and just wait for word to go back in after about maybe 15mins or so. luckily for us, only Betty was sleeping in our place (i guess not so lucky for Betty, she was cranky!).
so that was the Friday...
20 days.

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live liek this will not inherit the kingdom of God.so yeah, i think this kinda answers what makes sin a sin.
Galatians 5:19-21
