All Around the World
so when i'm at work. i never start work when i'm suppose to. my routine pretty much is: get into the office. take a nap until the buzzer buzzes at 8.15am. wake up, turn on computer. check email. so depending on how much i read and stuff, sometimes i don't even start until 9am. hahaha..oh well, whatever.
anyway, on Thursday, i get Google Alerts. it's pretty cool. what Google Alerts does is searches and saves whatever websites that has information in whatever you're looking for. you can recieve these daily or weekly. i chose weekly 'cuz i don't want it email bombing me. so yeah, i get them in my email, and i just read 'em. right now i'm getting alerts for X-Men 3, Wolverine, Spider-Man 3, Playstation 3, and Superman Returns.
so here's what's going on in the entertainment front.
in X-Men 3 news:
some of you may know by now that Bryan Singer isn't coming back to do the 3rd installment of the X-Men franchise. disappointing, but hey, he left X-Men to do Superman Returns. so he's just doing another comic movie.
then Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake, Snatch) took over. but then he quickly dropped out 'cuz of personal issues. so now it's Brett Ratner (Rush Hour) directing. i dunno about this guy. he's weird. he wants to create a new mutant that we've never seen before. his own creation is a sex siren mutant who seduces her opponents rather than battles them. she is to be "an unbelievably hot and sexy hooker. her superpower is that she secretes a pheromone that helps her to seduce men. she can seduce anyone." so it's almost like this one character in Smallville. the one that like seduces Lex.
personally, i think this is gay. it's stupid. if anything, bring back Morph from the old X-Men animated series if you're gonna bring in a new character. i'd rather see him then some weird ass chick that uses her hotness to seduce men. that's just wrong. friggin' playette i tell ya. sure she'll be some hot girl, but a bitch that misleads. :@
anyway, i really hope that Ratner doesn't turn this X-Men franchise into a joke like Joel Schumacher did to Batman. that would totally suck!
well on to more X-Men 3 news.
Maggie Grace who plays Shannon on Lost is leaving X3. she was suppose to play Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat, but she has dropped out for unknown reasons. i think she would've played a good Shadowcat, although i really hate her character on Lost. X3 is currently recasting for that role.
oh yeah, some of you might not know, but Kelsey Grammar will be in X3. yeah you read right. it's not a typo. Kelsey Grammar, of Frasier and Cheers fame will be in X3. he'll be playing Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast. go figure. i wonder if he'll be able to pull it off.
another bit of X3 news is the man playing Juggernaut. gotta be a big dude right? Vinnie Jones (Snatch, EuroTrip, Gone in 60 Seconds) has been casted to play Cain Marko, Xavier's half-brother. haha, i think he'll do a great job! haha..he's big!
last bit of X3 news, i wonder who'll play Gambit and Angel. i don't know how prominent their roles will be in the movie though.
from a superhero team to a single hero. Spider-Man 3.
in Spider-Man 3 news, Topher Grace (That 70s Show) and Thomas Haden Church (Wings, Sideways) are set to play villians in this installment of Spider-Man. who they'll be playing is still up in the air. it has been rumoured that this Spider-Man may feature 4 villains in Sandman, Hobgoblin, Vulture, and Venom.
as for my opinion, having 4 villians would be cool, but i think it'd be a bad idea because the story would be too saturated with villians. there won't be enough screen time to develop the characters. as has been said on many websites, a lot of ppl feel the same way, and they feel that it'd be best to stick with, at most, 2 villains in the movie while the other 2 would make cameos leading up to the 4th movie of the franchise.

in other movie news, haha, Initial D, the live action movie that was directed by Hong Kong directors and stars a Taiwanese singer in his debut movie, over in HK did better than Star Wars III and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. should it really be surprising though? i mean, anime is big over in the East. doesn't faze me at all.
technology news, namely the game console technology.
Sony is set to lose about $100 US on every PS3 sold. now that sucks for them. so really they're not even making money with this machine. i think they're gonna start the selling price in Spring 2006 at $399. but i guess it cost them $499 to make it. that ain't cool! *spits apple at....someone* but i'm still gonna buy one..eventually! ;P
moving away from that and more into reality..
the NHL Lockout is soon coming to an end. at least that's what we all think. anything can happen. as for my opinion, i couldn't care less. hockey isn't gonna start up for another couple months, so i don't really care. but i do hope there's some NHL hockey next fall, otherwise i think the NHL should just fold and a new league be formed. but then again, i can see the same problems surfacing. such is life.

the London bombings. what the heck is wrong with the world today? another terrorist attack, but this time it's in London. on a bus and in the subways during rush hour. this wasn't as bad as 9/11, but still, casualties are casualites. i don't get what the point of all these terrorism is. why? what does this action go to prove?
i pray for those in London who have suffered through this ordeal, who have lost loved ones. such a brainless act by cowards. i don't care what their point is. violence doesn't solve anything. stupid mofos.
