4 Hours, 9 Pages

so yesterday i had that paper to do for Learning Disabilities and it was due at midnight. my original plan for the whole paper process did not go as planned..obviously. one day i will stick to my plan.

anyway, the original plan was to read and listen to everything last week, so i could start writing my paper on Monday. yeah that did not happen. i started listening to lectures on Saturday afternoon, all afternoon and then there was hockey for the evening. then i did more listening on Sunday evening after dinner.

through that process, i was still procrastinating quite a bit. Monday night, i listened to more lectures before WWE RAW 'cuz i wanted to watch it. i listened to a few more during the show when i wasn't interested in what they were showing.

i was hoping to get started in my paper by Tuesday at the latest if everything failed. but that didn't happen. i finished listening to the lectures on Tuesday night, and i was gonna start writing a bit of it, but i was soooo tired. so i just hit the sack early and hoped that i could work on an outline at work on Wednesday.

so, just my luck, i was able to work on an outline at work since i wasn't allowed to turn on my computer because they thought that by having my computer turned on, it affects the network and this software that keeps crashing. the network was suppose to only handle 5 users, and i'm the 6th. turns out that my computer had nothing to do with the software 'cuz it was still crashing.

anyhoo, so i was able to work on an outline until my sister and i went to the post office to mail some rattan samples to various customers. i think that took us like an hr 'cuz we had to weigh, and measure each package. tedious really.

then went back, and found the chain manager at Boca 'cuz he's also kinda our IT computer guy too. he brought me and my dad's business partner's new computers! i told Jeff Chan that i had 175GB of hard drive space, but when i checked again, it was wrong, it's really 145GB. big difference. anyway, i think it's a Pentium 4 and it has a dvd-r drive. i want to steal it for myself. haha..it's sweet. even have a LG flat screen monitor, i think 17".

it's sweet, and it's even sweeter with that Toshiba A70 (not P70, got the name wrong before) laptop right beside it. i use them both. haha one is for work, the other is for..MSN, web surfing, email. hahaha..so bad. i seriously think it's making me do less work, which is not good.

so anyway, back to the computer stuff. we also acquired more Windows licenses for the server so that more users could use the server. plus we also got another router, but a wireless this time. took us a while to figure out how to use two routers. we eventually picked the wireless router to be the default gateway so that i could use the laptop for internet. after all that was said and done, i was able to have lunch at 2pm. i was starving!

after lunch, we started to upgrade the software that was crashing. the software company told us that we needed to upgrade, which is why the software keeps crashing. so we did that. little did we know that we'd run into difficulties and it was so late in the day. everything seemed to be upgrading perfectly fine until we got to this section where we had to choose a currency. Canadian or US dollars. so we selected Canadian. then the same prompt comes back on asking the same question! wtf?! i ended up staying at Boca until 6.30pm just selecting the Canadian currency. it wasn't even 30% finished when i left.

before i left, my dad came back to Boca to see what was going on 'cuz we weren't home yet. so he stayed and did the currency thing while i had my sister drive me home 'cuz i had to finish my paper. then she went back to Boca to help out my dad. i had my dinner quickly and was up in my room by 7pm to start my paper.

i was able to finish my paper by 11pm and took another half hour to edit it and submitted it at 11.30pm. but i dunno how well written it was. i didn't take any references out of the textbook, and i didn't even take a lot of references from the lectures either. most of it was just pure thoughts of my own. a starking contrast from my first paper 'cuz i used so much references for that one.

so anyway, yeah, i think that's the quickest i've ever wrote any paper. :S dunno if that's good or bad. i guess we'll see when i get my mark back!

my sister and my dad finally finished everything and came home at around 10.30pm. that's INSANE. we started the update at like 4.30pm, and it didn't finish until 10.30pm! what kinda software update is that?! honestly. anyway, my sister called them again this morning and apparently it's a one-time thing. well it better be a one-time thing, ain't gonna do that again! that's for sure.

so today, Thursday, it didn't seem like i did much at work. chain manager came again to set up my mom's computer, which was fine and dandy. i got him to look at my computer 'cuz my internet wasn't working properly. i got my laptop to work after some investigation 'cuz my computers were the only ones that didn't have internet working. all i had to do was repair my connection on the desktop, but for the laptop, i had to manually put ip addresses and gateway addresses for it to work. the day at work was pretty much a blur.

Thursday evening was softball practice. Felix came to pick me up after his brother's graduation ceremony. got me at about 7.45pm and got to the practice diamond at 8pm. we had to change out diamond 'cuz there was a softball league game being played there. they got the license to use the diamond, so we'll have to look for a new diamond to use.

as a backup, we used this crappy diamond beside a soccer field and behind a big baseball diamond off Fallingbrook. it was sufficient for the moment. the practice itself was alright. let the girls with inexperience bat first. Kev and i worked with them, and they were starting to get a hang of hitting the ball, not hard, but good enough. :) still got some work to do though. hopefully the first game will be a good and fun one against Swiffer.

so it looks like a pretty busy weekend coming up. Friday is my friend from Waterloo, Yvonne's birthday, so we're going to this restaurant called Minami Sushi i think. it's on Dundas & Cawthra? after that i won't be going with them to Lucid 'cuz i'm not a clubber! i might just drop by Theresa/Gilbert's place for the JOY bbq afterwards, depending on what time the dinner ends.

Saturday i gotta get up a little early so i can ump the first game of the MCBCSL season with Silas. the game will feature Ring of Fire and Play-Doh. after that game is my team's game against Swiffer. go Saved by the Bell! after that game is a UWCCF Vision meeting where the committee will be presenting ideas to the ppl that go to CCF. it's a bbq, so yay! :D

Sunday, i think i might head to MCAC this week. Vicki has invited several ppl to MCAC to witness her baptism. it'll be a nice change of scenary i guess. to experience a different service from that of MCBCs. Felix was telling me that their pastor is pretty funny, so that's encouraging. then maybe i'll watch the early game on Sunday between Antz and Konoha. the evening will be devoted to my father since it's his birthday. i think we're treating him to Le Biftheque Steak House. MMM..STEAK! :D i still have to get him a gift, any ideas???

then it's back to work on Monday. boo!
