HAPPY FAHZA'S DAY! (haha goldmember)

funny how that song can be used as a foreshadow. not that someone hurt me or anything. i just find it amusing. how can someone be happy though, but i'm alright. i'm chill!

so anyway, on Thursday, my brother didn't have to go to school 'cuz he finished up one of his block courses on Tuesday. i didn't know, so i was kinda suprised! so i was like..wooo, i can do something tonight then! but, yeah, i didn't really have anyone to hang out with 'cuz i'm not cool.

so my brother and i just went to Best Buy and SportChek. i've been wanting to get an iPod Shuffle for awhile now, and well, i purchased one, plus a Product Replacement Plan (i seem to have bad luck with electronics, so it would be good for me to buy one). i got the 512mb Shuffle 'cuz i didn't think i needed 1gb. so 512mb holds about 120 songs if the songs are 4mins avg. so far, it's nice. :P i'm having some fun with it. i also got the new Foo Fighters album, In Your Honor. i haven't really had the chance to listen to the album fully yet, so i can't really say anything about it.

also went to SportChek to buy a new hockey stick for street hockey seeing that my stick blades were thinning on my other sticks. i don't really like the plastic blades.

so yes, that was the end of my shopping spree. haha..and that was Thursday night.

Friday at work, it was a long day. i couldn't wait to get out of there. the morning was just aggravating 'cuz my dad was trying to teach me how to analyze the inventory for reordering. but i just never understood it. i knew what items were popular and stuff, but i just don't have the experience in reordering stuff. he wanted me to come up with a number, and he did one for example for me. but i never really understood where he pulled these numbers out of. like is there some sort of formula that i should follow or something? i don't know! i tried to asked him and stuff, but he just couldn't find a way to explain it to me so i could understand.

it didn't help that there were also all these other problems he's been dealing with over the past week. more problems than usual with labour. it really sucks 'cuz it just takes so much out of my dad. i'm glad that he's going on vacation soon 'cuz he totally needs it, just to get away from it all.

anyway, i think he just gave up on the day, so he just told me to start transferring inventory that my mom has been doing manually into the files that i have created in Excel. so that's what i did all Friday afternoon. fun i tell ya..NOT.

so, Friday night was pretty cool. i spent it with Rebecca, and time with her is always fun 'cuz she's weird. in a good sense of course! haha..anyway, so i waited for her to come home from Cambridge and she arrived at around 7.50pm. went and picked her up and went grocery shopping. haha she made a list for me to go find..i should go grocery shopping more 'cuz i kinda felt lost..but then again it's Loblaws, it's friggin huge. i think it took us longer to check out than to actually shop! we also dropped by the new National Sport beside Loblaws so she could return stuff.

then it was a race against the clock. our goal was to be at Courtney Park for the 9.45pm show at 9pm. but we left Nationals at like 9pm. so the new goal was 9.15pm. we made it..with plenty of time to spare. lines were too long, so we just Interac'd it.

we saw Batman Begins. best line in the movie was "It's not what's underneath, but it's what we do that defines us." that's so true. the movie itself was awesome. i think it beats out Tim Burton's Batman movies. i really liked how they developed the Batman character in this movie and show the backstories and stuff. Christian Bale was an excellent choice for portraying Bruce Wayne/Batman. and that Batmobile..sick! Christopher Nolan did an excellent job. it's definately a movie i'd recommend for all to see.

the movie ended at like 12.10pm. didn't think that would happen. good thing we didn't see the 10.30pm show. i was pretty drained after the movie. but yeah, it was a fun night! :)

so Saturday, i tried to do some work for my Learning Disabilities class. i have a paper due on Wednesday and i haven't touched that class since i wrote my last paper (May 18). so yeah, lots to go through, but i think this paper is a little easier 'cuz it talks about an experience i went though. i still gotta think about what i'll write and what experience to write about.

i ended up watching some of ECW One Night Stand too..that's some cool wrestling..brutal too. man those guys REALLY sacrifice their bodies. some pretty good matches in there..go watch it...if you like wrestling :P

tonight was roller hockey at Mississauga Valley Community Center. it was a lot of fun. very nice to play on a smooth surface. the only criticism i have is that it's TOO smooth! haha..like if you wanted to just take off, your wheels would slide 'cuz the ground is a little slippery. but all in all, it was a lot of fun, very tiring. by the end of the night, my legs were done. 3hrs of hockey for $2 was so worth it. i'm glad the turn out was good, a lot of players came out.

anyway, as a result, i've got a couple skinned knees, banged up hip, bumpy elbow. but..it was fun. even got a nice goal and a freaking post. got robbed infront too. that goalie was awesome.

tomorrow's Father's Day. going to church, and then callin' up my family after the service is over to see where they're at and if i'm able to join them for dim sum 'cuz they're going at 10am. service doesn't end until about 10.30-11am. they're going so early 'cuz they're also going to the Jays game, which starts at 1pm. i've decided to skip it so i can go to MCBCSL Opening Ceremonies. call me crazy or whatever, i'm even passing up the opportunity to get something for free at the game. but i don't really care. opening ceremonies should be fun. at least i hope so. looking forward to the video presentation. haha...i think i'm gonna cringe. :P

anyway, if all fails with regards to meeting up with the family, at least i'll be there for the traditional Father's Day dinner at a restaurant. i think we're set on going to Red Lobster for dinner. hmmm..the kids are treating, minus my younger older sister, since she's away camping with her friends. she ain't back until tomorrow.

so that's my spiel for the day. are you still awake?

*slipping and sliding*
