Threatened?
today at work was just slow. it felt like the time wouldn't move forward fast enough! it seriously felt like it was crawling.
so today i spent most of the day just making more adjustments to the inventory spreadsheets. so tedious. everytime i go to do it, i find out that i have more adjustments to make, so i have to go back to make sure all the other workbooks are corrected. man, so tedious!
anyway, when i'm at work, i normally have MSN on. i don't think my dad knows i use it, but my sister knows. i think she gets annoyed that i do use it 'cuz she doesn't like it when ppl are "playing" on the Internet at work. but whatever, as long as i get my work done. no harm done. so i spent most of the day talking to Odie and Sylvia, a little bit with Rebecca and Grace H, and briefly with Howard.
tomorrow, i'm gonna be heading up to the Scarborough store to do inventory stuff. but really, i'm going up there to help the Chain Manager set up the updated computer system there and then learning the system so i can better do my job.
however, this chain manager guy doesn't understand this. at first, my dad thought he did when he went to talk to him about my position and what i'll be doing. he was cool with it. but then a day later he emails my other boss thinking the total opposite. so my dad's shocked.
from what i'm getting out of it, he feel threatened and has come to conclusions too fast. what i think he's thinking is that he thinks that i'm on the early steps of taking over his position. well that is FARTHER from the truth. my job is totally different, i'm trying to help the business by monitoring the inventory for them, and making sure that there are no problems, and if there are problems, i have to go and investigate it. apparently he doesn't understand that. he doesn't understand why the company needs an inventory controller. i wonder what's going through his mind. he has a tendency to do this often, and is greedy and spoiled. always threatens to quit and stuff if his demands aren't met. one of these days he's gonna get it. kaboom, gone! <enter Donald Trump's famous words>
anyway, hopefully the chain manager doesn't ask me a lot of questions about my position. i'll just have to tell him the truth i guess, and suggest some ideas to him. hopefully he won't rip my head off. i always thought he was a sincere guy, and i'm sure he is, but now that he sees me as a threat or competition, how sincere can he be? now i'll be thinking, that's just a mask he's putting on, he's just pretending to be nice, but deep down inside, he wants to rip me apart.
anyway, on a different note, i forgot to mention on yesterday's entry, but i witness an end of an accident on the QEW when i was driving back home after church to change and pick up my gym clothes and my baddy racquet. so yeah, i was just driving along the QEW, just between the Cawthra and Hurontario exits i believe, when i saw like everyone starting to brake. i thought that was odd, but as i started to brake and near everyone else infront of me, all of a sudden i see a brownish-red car just whip and spin right across all 3 lanes of the highway with the rear smashing into the median. then i noticed that the rear passenger tire was all shredded! :S
the good thing was that the rest of the car was in pretty good shape, not much damage other than the tire. no other cars were involved in the accident, and the woman driving the vehicle seemed to be alright, maybe a whiplash, but totally traumatized. who wouldn't be after that? anyway, she was able to get the car over to the right shoulder and a bunch of cars pulled over to see if she was alright.
tonight was also my enrollment appointment for the 2005 Fall Term at UWaterloo. it was at 7pm. i ended up enrolling into Psychology of Education, Psychology of Adolescence, Sociology of Education, and Introduction to Human Sexuality. i enrolled into a 5th course called Mass Communication, but i think i'll be using that as a back up course should i not like one of my first 4 classes.
anyway, my schedule itself looks kinda crappy. however, some of you ppl might think it's sweet. if i don't take that Mass Communication class, then i have 4 classes on Tuesdays and 3 classes on Thursdays. yes, i have Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays off. however, if i do take that Mass Communication class, i'd have a night class on Wednesday nights.
sweet some would say. personally, i wouldn't be a big fan of it. why? one, it'd make me lazy. two, what if all my assignments and tests were on the same day. i'd be screwed and i'd have to try and start early. three, i don't have a third reason.
so that's the deal...roll with it!
