The Popple Slayer
hahaha, should've saw Odie's reaction to that on MSN! priceless! how can someone be THAT passionate about Popples. a stuffed..animal? she has such imagination with them too.
"oh (enter Popple name) can make a (enter name of a face expression)".
"Puzzle helped me in making breakfast this morning! He's so intelligent."
i can't help but laugh at her imagination. Odie you are one of a kind. seems that Popples liven you up a little more. you get so excited.
btw, the way i treat them. it's not mean. it's called tough love. you can't pamper them all the time, then they'll just grow up to be sissies. :P hahaha..
ANYWAY..on to other things. haven't updated in a couple days. so let's see what i have to say.
Sunday was my dad's birthday, so we took him to Le Biftheque near the airport in Etobicoke. it was my first time there, and man, that place is pretty classy! the waitress was kinda cute, and we had good service from her. the food was so delicious. oh man, that filet mignon was excellent! the sauteed mushrooms were so yummy. the fries were huuuge! man i was stuffed. was definately feeling the itis afterwards. us kids took care of the bill. it was an expensive dinner, but it was well worth it! i think i might want to go there for MY birthday! :D
Monday was Odie's birthday, so Happy Birthday Odie! she had a little social gathering, as she would probably rather call it, to celebrate her birthday. i couldn't help but see the division in the room. her softball friends and her highschool friends. but despite that, it was still a fun night.
Joel picked up Silas and afterwards picked me up, and we headed over to Square One to get Odie's present. we had it all planned out what we were gonna get her. a BatBear at Build-a-Bear. we also saw a Calgary Flames outfit, so we got that too. what we weren't expecting was the gay guy that served us. he made us do so many embarrassing things, luckily no pictures and no videotaping of it. haha..afterwards all Silas, Joel and i could do was laugh about it. and i mean laugh-until-our-stomaches-hurt-and-you-are-crying laughing. especially when the dude ask Joel to give the bear a hug to see if it was stuffed enough. HAHAH that was just priceless. hahaha, i'm alugh now as i write about it. hahaha..
then off to Brampton, good night, good chat, and glad that Odie liked BatBear and Puzzle (my brother gave it up :P).
the whole BatBear was a part of an inside joke between Joel, Odie, and i. although it's not so much an inside joke anymore, but Odie was pretty gullible to believe what we told her about Batman. she didn't know who or what Batman was. so she was told that Batman was Superman's brother. Wonder Woman and Captain Planet were their parents. hahaha..it was funny.
so when we left Odie's, i don't know what Dan Tey was thinking, but he burned rubber when he was leaving Odie's place, and Odie's mom was right outside on the front lawn. who was he trying to impress? if he gained anything, it would've been Odie's mom's disapproval. it stunk man, the rubber burning.
so as we got on the highway, just before we hit the Queen St. exit, it finally clicked to me that i forgot my pouch at Odie's. so Joel turned around and we went to get it. when i get back, Odie has the whole Popple family out and took a family picture. sheesh! she had to wait till i left! all the more incentive to rid of the world of Popples! :P hahaha i'm kidding.
on the way back, the 403 between Hurontario and Erin Mills Parkway was heavy on traffic. what's going on?! we find out later that the closed down TWO lanes. ugh! stupid construction! took us so long to get home! i was beat! totally crashed!
Tuesday and Wednesday i didn't do much. mostly sat infront of my computer and reorganized it. especially my music folders. those were a mess especially when all my WMA files got converted to MP3 files 'cuz iTunes doesn't support WMA files. so i had two sets of a lot of songs! and i had to organize it all! it was tedious, but it was done.
today, i got pretty pissed at work, but woosah works like a charm! haha. i was pissed 'cuz my dad told me to do one thing earlier in the week, which was to enter in all the opening balances, but then today, he tells me not to bother with it 'cuz they're all gonna get zeroed anyway and focus on the invoices, transfers, and purchase orders. argh! what a waste of time! i could've done the inventory count this week for both stores if i wanted to! blah! anyway, i was able to finish all the invoices and stuff for the Scarborough store, so now i'm right where i would want to be and start helping out with the editing of the store system descriptions for the furniture.
so on the way home, i took out my paycheque and something just didn't quite seem right. this week on only worked 3.5 days. anyone can figure out that i didn't work 40hrs, but on my paycheque, i got paid the full week's pay. *scratches head* i should ask my dad about it. i don't want to be given more money just because he can and because i'm the owner's son. it's not fair to the other employees. even my brother got a paycheque and he didn't even work this week. so yeah, i should definately ask my dad about it.
got a softball practice tonight. right now it only looks like there'll be 6ppl showing up. *grumbles* where is everyone? we need work! we's got a doubleheader on Saturday! so yeah, along with the doubleheader on Saturday for softball, i'm also umping both games on Sunday afternoon. so lots of sun this weekend for me!
Saturday night is also poker night, we'll see how many ppl show up. it's like a party mang. :S
tomorrow, i'm not quite sure what is going on yet. but right now the tentative plan is to watch War of the Worlds with Vince, Rebecca, and whomever else i guess. it's a toss up really. should be finding out from Vince later. after that Friday evening is JOY fellowship game night. we're gonna be playing Cranium. i suck at that game. i ain't smart! :P
lastly, Rebecca! haven't been talking to you much, but i've been keepin' up. congratulations on all those job offers! you've got so many choices and that's awesome! whereever you go, whatever you decide, i pray that it'll be the right place for you, and that it'll be a rewarding experience! GO YOU! :P
