An Update..
so i haven't been updating much.
who cares?
oh..i'm taking off the anonymous function off the comments section. i'm finding it annoying to not knowing who left comments for me. so commenters who haven't signed on for Blogspot..do it! :) it doesn't cost anything.
so spideymang, how are you?
i dunno, i'm ok i guess. just getting used to the grind of school again. yippee. but this time i gotta walk further, which means no more leaving 15mins before class, but instead, leave 30mins before class. i live about 20mins away from campus again. i live about the same distance as my old place, but instead of living east of Albert, i'm living north of Columbia.
school. been to all my classes so far this term. tomorrow's gonna be the last day of classes for the week. i'm somewhat lucky to have a 4-day weekend every week, but i dunno if that'll benefit me really. sure it'll give me more time, but really is that good for me? 4-day weekend just equals more procrastination time 'cuz i'll keep thinking, oh i still have so and so many days left to do this.
these 3hr classes ain't doing me any good either. it's kinda hard just sitting in a class for 3hrs and taking one break in each class. taking two 3hr classes in one day is bad enough. 3 in a row if you wanna count Monday night class too.
i've already developed some beef with some of my professors. my Holocaust & Film prof i'm not really liking 'cuz, well, he just takes too long to explain something and since he's a Jew himself, he's a little biased in the teachings as well. i guess i could give him some slack, afterall, his parents were somewhat survivors of the Holocaust. but still, don't keep us for an extra 15mins because you can't get your point across. it's bad enough that it's already a 3hr class PLUS we didn't get any breaks. save it for next week dude.
my Contemporary Japanese Society prof is starting to get on my nerves too. although he's a good teacher and all, he's very energetic, but he lacks focus. he's always going off into tangents, and i can see that some of the class are kinda clueless. it's kinda getting old. it's nice that he's trying to keep our interest, but stick to the material. this one girl in the class was completely lost, and he couldn't answer the question properly. even i was a little clueless to what he wanted on the book review. he kept on saying stuff about engineers. we are in a sociology course mang! so another student ended up explaining the whole damn book review criteria and that's when the class understood. *sigh*..
for my Sociology of Mental Disorder class. things are going alright for now i guess. the class is suppose to be 1.5hrs long, but he keeps it to an hr. i dunno if this is a permanent thing or not, but that's fine with me. but the prof does have some boring qualities to his voice. kinda tires me out. i've had him before too with Distance Education courses..now those tapes were killer.
the most interesting class for me right now is Soundtracks: Music in Film. i've only had one class and that was last night (Monday) and i'm enjoying it. the only difficulty i think i'll have with that class is getting the videos of the movies i have to watch. there are movies that i need to watch that are from the 1920s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and so one..one per decade basically. the older movies are gonna be harder to find in the videos and even harder to find if i wanna download them. but anyway, lots of laughs in that class.
a funny thing about profs. they recycle so much stuff. i guess it's suppose to be that way when they teach the same course and stuff. but they recycle the same jokes as well. i had my CJS prof for East Asians Studies for the Japan section of that class, and he used the same email joke about having spam from girls. you know those porn emails? yeah..he recycled that joke. and for my S:MF class, he used the same video and stuff as the first class last winter. i know 'cuz i sat in one of his classes hoping to get in last winter, but it was full unfortunately. but hey, i saved myself from an essay for that class! :P
anyway, enough about school stuff.
*sigh*..
so living here at 372 Albert St. has been a treat so far. i haven't spent too much time in my room actually. i spend most of my time in the common room either making something to eat, eating, and playing PS2 or watching Ben and/or Jeff playing PS2. our games center around Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Smackdown! vs. Raw. i think Ben plays too much and he knows i know that i think he plays too much. i dunno, we take turns doing stuff. Ben does most of the missions stuff, shooting, Jeff does most of the driving, and i...i just like to get police stars (for example, i kill cops, or steal cars infront of cops, or kill ppl infront of cops..basically doing something illegal :P) it's fun running from the cops trying to stay alive. hahaha! :P we're also millionaires in the game 'cuz *I* gambled, and freaking one a race that was 11/1 odds! :P MWAHAHAAHAAAA...so we have like a little over $4.9 million to spend. haha :P
speaking of the house, i have new pictures up on my Imagestation. check out the link on the right side bar ->. you'll have to sign up/log in to be able to view the pictures. feel free the leave comments there as well.
hockey for CCF has also started. we had our first practice this past Sunday. it was good, but tiring. i haven't been on the ice for hockey since early November. it was good. our first game is this coming Sunday. so if you're in the Waterloo area, drop by the Columbia Icefields (CIF) at 3pm and cheer us on! :)
what else?
how am i feeling? hmm..let's not get into that. i don't feel like talking about that. so i'm just gonna leave it at that. but i do feel a sense of cynicism going on in my head. it's probably nothing, but still. i've never been a good optimist anyway.
anyway, that's all for now..
take care y'all..
who cares?
