Humm....
so the break for me has been pretty busy, and hectic to say the least. i actually haven't been able to see everyone yet and i dunno if i have the time to. some of my friends are gonna be disappointed and i'm sorry. this holiday, for some strange reason, has probably been one of the most busiest for me. at least it feels that way. and i've been fortunate enough to have not spent too much money either, which is a bonus!
yesterday i went to Buffalo with my family (minus dad). it was an interesting trip, for the most part, i slept on the car ride there and back. we were waiting at the border to get into the States for about an hour before we actually drove onto American soil. freaking American border patrol is so inefficient! at least coming back on to Canadian soil wasn't so bad. went through customs with no problems.
so we're in Buffalo. we hit up two malls, one was an outlet mall and the other was just a normal mall. the outlet mall sucked ass, but then again, it's an outlet mall right? bumped into Jon Ting there as well. so weird. never expect to bump into other ppl in a different country. like, when i was in Orlando, i bumped into Vanessa and her family. in the Grand Caymans, i bumped into Helen. it's just odd. anyway, after the outlet, we headed for the regular mall. it's pretty nice there. we walked into Abercrombie & Fitch there, and i had to leave the store 'cuz it was so freaking fruity. the music they were playing was like..stuff you'll hear on Z103.5, but blasted a million times. i literally could feel the bass vibrating in my body. and then the shoppers there, noticiably the guys, man, they're so preppy..freaking pretty boys. ugh! *puke!*
anyway, i didn't find any shoes that i liked. that was my mission when i went over there. i had $100 bucks in USD, and didn't even spend one dollar. couldn't find the shoes i wanted! i want like either navy blue shoes, or orange shoes. actually i DID find the orange shoes i wanted! i found them at a Foot Locker outlet store near Ponderosa (where we had dinner). they're Pumas. but i didn't get them 'cuz my mom and older sister said that i shouldn't 'cuz it's velcro, and they looked like cheap quality. i didn't get them 'cuz they were more like summer shoes anyway. not good in the snow. hopefully near the summer, they're still around 'cuz i'd definately buy them, and i hope they're much cheaper.
so yeah, we had dinner at Ponderosa. i like how we can order and pay, and then sit down and have a buffet! yums! lol..the service was pretty good too. haha i looked around the restaurant, and i noticed that most of the waitresses there were hot! they were pretty! lol! even at the mall! lots of hot girls walking all over the place! hahaha.. :P aanyway, dinner was yummy! i had double steak tips and fries! so good! maybe it was 'cuz i was so hungry. who knows. it was yummy anyway! :P
after dinner we headed home, man i was beat. but i still managed to stay up until 5am 'cuz i watched Enemy at the Gates on the History Channel.
so i wake up today at 2pm. actually my brother woke me up asking me about the car. originally i was gonna just drive him to work and then head over to Andre's, but he wanted to do like a bunch of stuff, so i let him take the car. then i called Jeff and asked if he could give me a ride over to Andre's instead. he could, so that was good. so we had hot pot again at Andre's. this time minus Hubert, and add Sylvia and Emily. it was good! lots of meat and seafood, although i ate mostly meat! ;P i'm very carnivorous. we watched Austin Powers: Goldmember while eating. i forgot how funny that movie was. after dinner, we played Operation and i totally suck at that game. too many buzzers! Sylvia won that game 'cuz she's such a good doctor! ;P we were also watching this chinese movie, and the chinese girl from The Transporter was in it, but instead of being the annoying girl who couldn't speak english, she was the annoying girl who couldn't speak chinese! so yeah, we made fun of her while watching that movie. haha..
so yeah now i'm home. i really feel sorry for all the ppl in Asia right now. i'm sure all of you have heard by now about the huge tsunami that hit them. right now the dead count is 55,000 and still rising! and probably even more with diseases from the water on the land. it's just so tragic. pray for the families in Asia as they desperately need it. we're really fortunate here in Canada where we practically never have any kind of natural disasters. the closest thing we'd get would be small tremors that like do nothing.
3 more days, and 2004 is over. i wonder if 2005 will be better? when i think back to 2004, it's all a blur. i should find some time to just sit back and reflect......
