Christmas Day Football

i hope everyone had an awesome Christmas Day! :D and i hope that everyone got what they wanted for Christmas! :D

so today MCBC had their traditional Christmas Day football game. it took us a while to get started, actually when i got there at 1.30pm for the 1pm kickoff, they haven't even started playing yet 'cuz the field was all ice from the freezing rain a couple days ago. so we had to chop it up a bit before we could actually start playing. it was hard to run and play.

so what did we do? well we walked around for a bit, and then decided to start up a football game, but touch football first so we could break up tha majority of the ice on the field. after a while, we decided to switch it up to tackle football.

it was a good game, the old-timers, 21 and up, defeated the younguns, 20 and under, by a score of 21-14. altho they only scored 'cuz we lost some of our big men. :P

anyway, all in all it was a good game. :) it was a lot of fun, although i didn't have one of my best games. dropped too many touches. boo! lol, i know what y'all are thinking..i'm getting old. whatever. :P but i caught the ball when it counted. which was for a TD. :P Ollie and Paul (1 of 2 younguns on our team after the tackle switch up) had the other TDs for us.

the ice was alright, but it was nice to us i guess. no one got hurt from it. but the tackling had some ppl sore afterwards tho. :P my brother got a scrape on his face from an accidental elbow from his own teammate. for me, had a sore shoulder from the ice, but it's alright now. i have a bruise on my right bicep from who knows what. AND my voice is a bit deeper now. hahaha..why? 'cuz i got an accidental clotheline right in the throat area. it's still a bit sore, but it's kinda funny 'cuz my family was like, what the heck happened to your voice, it's so deep now. hahaha..i wonder if this'll be permanent or if it's gonna go back to normal. i guess time will tell!

so that was football! it was a great time! :)

before football, we got to open gifts. YAY! everyone loves gifts! so we opened them after lunch. i got $170 from my parents (birthday and Christmas), Smackdown! vs Raw for PS2 from my sisters, all 3 Infernal Affairs movies (for birthday) and 2 McFarlane dolls (Legends Gretzky and Martin Brodeur Series 9) from my sister's bf, and GTA: San Andreas from my brother for my birthday and Christmas. oh and i got beef jerky from my grandma like always. :)

so pretty good gifts this year. too bad i can't use the $170 bucks though. i'm saving it for books next term. don't have a lot of cash now. gotta really watch my spending next term. :S

i took a lot of pictures too, so i'll be posting those up soon. Christmas at the Chiu's! ;P haha..

the rest of the evening after the big Christmas dinner was pretty 'lax. watched Elf with my siblings, and my sister's bf. they liked the movie. haha Will Ferrell's so funny! haha..and then after that we played some Smackdown! vs. Raw and X-Men: Legends. so it was a good night. it's 1.30am right now but it feel so much later! must be me. :P

so tomorrow's Boxing Day..are you going out to shop? i'm not. everything's gonna be gone. :P and i don't wanna bother with lining up to get IN and OUT of the store (that is if i buy something). well i'm gonna be going to Buffalo on Monday anyway. maybe i'll find new shoes down there! ooo! i need new shoes! i found these pairs of Nikes i liked..but they were like $100 CDN. so yeah, maybe i'll look for them in the States.

hmm...that will be all for tonight. :) one more week of holiday fun! let's hope that next week will be good! :)
