Christmas Holiday Day 1

it was quite an eventful day from the get go i must say. lots of interesting things happened. some were good, some were bad.

so my day started at around 11am-12pm. i forget when i woke up. i think i woke up at 11am. but anyway the day was originally planned as skating day and that was it. oh and get my skates sharpened. but something else happened. well, skating still happened, but i'll talk about that later.

so, i was talking to Odie and Joyce since they were online. actually, they were looking for each other..or..well Joyce was looking for Odie yesterday and this morning Odie was looking for Joyce 'cuz they were gonna go shopping together. so..yeah, they found each other. and since i said i was gonna do something for Odie if she did something i asked her to do, she just asked me to come along. so, that i did.

so the plan was, Joyce was gonna come pick me up at around 1-1.30pm-ish and then drop me off at SportChek where Silas works so i can get my free sharpening of my brand new Nike Quest 3 hockey skates (got them for my birthday from my sisters!) and then meet up with Odie at Square One at 2pm.

but Joyce didn't come by until 2pm. lol! so we decided to go to the SportChek by Square One instead so that it's closer to Square One and not go backwards. so, just as we were pulling out of my driveway, Joyce's car suddenly loses power. so we're like..wha? how?! so i was like oh man, i should push the car back on to the driveway..so i tried..but a car is pretty heavy, i couldn't do it really. so i asked her to turn the car off and back on again. back to normal. HAHA..

so yeah, on our way there, her car problems start to surface, something about oil pressure. i know nothing about cars! so we stopped at an ESSO and popped the hood and checked the oil..from what i know, her oil seemed fine. then these guys from Mr. Lube came out and checked it out and said, oil seems fine, and asked what he problem was. Joyce explained, and then they directed us to a garage just next door. so we went there, but they were so busy, so we left for Square One. i dunno if the car was ok for the rest of the day tho...Joyce, fill me in!

so we made it to SportChek and got my skates sharpened, and then off to find a parking spot at Square One. i think we drove around for about 5mins, until i spotted a car leaving at the most perfect spot! :P so close to the entrance in underground parking! HA! you're WELCOME JOYCE! :P haha..then we found Odie, who'd been waiting there for, i dunno, 20mins? she was late too! :P

so, yeah then we went to some toy stores to look at stuffed animals. what the reason was, i have no clue. women and stuffed animals...beats me! we went to do the thing i asked Odie to do and i'd pay for it, BUT the line was too long and it was expensive. so we scrapped that idea, and maybe next time we'll find a cheaper place to do it! :P oh, i should write myself that email huh Odie! ;P hahaha..

so since i was at Square One, i needed a ride to Kipling Station to get to skating. so i asked Joyce to call Jeff for me and to see if he had room for Mindy, her sister, and her cousin. he did, so perfect, Mindy was in the mall at the time meeting up with her sister and cousin so they could take the bus to Kipling. but, Jeff was able to save them some money. so we all went down together to Harbourfront Centre for some skating. it was pretty hectic..we were suppose to meet at the station at 4pm, but we didn't get there until 4.30pm. we got to Harbourfront Centre about an hr and a half later. lol..oh well..at least we got there right?

skating was lots of fun! the ice was actually pretty good! probably one of the best outdoor rinks i've skated on. it was relatively smooth! so it was nice! i kept on ice showering ppl! hahaha, it was fun! my new skates are awesome! i love them! they give my ankles so much support! it's just swweeet! :D we skated for about an hr and a half. so that was pretty good. wasn't too cold either!

after that, Mindy and her group left for home and some dinner, while the rest of us headed over to Brenda's place for some pizza. we found some oatmeal raisin cookies at her place too! they were soo good! or maybe they were that good 'cuz i was staaaarving! but yeah, pizza arrived, and i don't even remember how many i consumed. haha..whoops! i was really hungry. then we stayed for about another 2hrs just chatting about various topics. so it was good.

got home at around 11.30pm-ish. been a long hectic, yet fun, day. i'm pretty beat and i might go to sleep soon.

it was good! i got to see a TON of ppl today! although some were brief, but it was nice to see them nonetheless!

hopefully more days like this to come this holiday season, but minus the hectic stuff! the holidays are suppose to be a time of relaxation!
