welcome all to Da Been Lo's post-game recap.

well this isn't gonna be much of a recap since i probably won't remember all the details in the game. but whatever, it's my recap, & i'll do as i wish. :)

so, we played this team, i don't know what they were called & i'm not gonna go look it up 'cuz well, i don't want to. :) so we played this team, & before the game, we looked over to their bench, & we noticed that they were all pretty big. big white guys. normally big white guys know how to play hockey. especially big white Canadian guys. the white guys on our team, they're not that big (except for the REALLY tall guy, but he's kinda lanky), but then they're not small either. built i guess.

anyway, game got underway, & i was the second-line center this game 'cuz the better players showed up this game. :P i center a line with Shaun on my left, & Matt on my right. throughout the game, i kept on getting pushed over or knocked around right off the face off. SO i must work on kicking the other team off the face off. or at least try to be a little more aggressive off the face off with my tiny frame.

in the first period, & on the third shift of the game, Clara was able to draw a..i guess roughing penalty on the other team 'cuz she got hit. poor little Clara, the big boys always pick on her (only 'cuz they know that the smallest player on a given team is also the most dangerous hehehe). so we went on a powerplay & the first line was able to capitalize on it by potting a goal. i don't know the names of everyone on the team yet, so i can't really tell you who scored. but yeah! 1-0 lead! everything looks good!

but this is where our fun ends as the other team begins to mount pressure on us. a player was able to fire a laser beam right into the top right corner to tie up the game. after that, the game was pretty much a blur, i don't know if any of the rest of what i'm gonna write is what actually happened in chronological order. & you guessed it! i don't care! :D

we drew a penalty, a questionable one at that. the tall lanky guy got called for something, i don't know, but from my view, i thought the other team should've got a penalty for interference. lanky player was trying to get out of the way, but the other dude fell, so penalty on us. BOO refs! :P anyway, on that penalty kill, i was able to break in on a partial breakaway as the puck was poked in between the two defencemen, & i was able to outskate them to it. i got tapped, slashed, whatever you want to call it, & i kinda lost my balance & fell to the ice. drew a hooking penalty on the play as i kinda smashed into the end boards (new NHL hooking & obstruction anyone?). i was hoping they'd call a penalty shot, but they didn't. it would've been cool to get a penalty shot though.

so yeah, anyway, there isn't much highlights for the rest of the game except that we had some pretty good scoring chances, but we couldn't buy a break. there were a couple more penalties called for both teams.

all in all, we've suffered our first loss in this very young season. we're currently sitting at an 1-1 record. as for MY points total, it hasn't changed since i didn't score any points tonight. so i still only have 1 goal, 1 assist for 2 points.
