Usher-ing It In..

There's always that one person
That will always have your heart.
You'll never see it comin'
'Cuz you're blinded from the start.
Know that you're that one for me,
It's clear for everyone to see
Oooh baby, oh, you will always be my boo!
~ Usher feat. Alicia Keys - My Boo

i always loved this start to Usher's song. i don't know why, i just do. but this isn't a testimate to saying that there's someone in my life, 'cuz, well it's not true. so don't even ask!

so on Tuesday, i woke up with a slight headache. contemplated on whether or not to skip the morning class, Sociology of Education. i dunno, that class has been the most useless class this term, maybe even in my whole university career. i can honestly say that i've learned nothing from that class. even Lorna agrees with me. it's such a pointless class, & it was so unstructured it's not even funny. so yeah, i decided that i should go to class. so i got to class only to see this sign on the door saying that class was cancelled. GRRRRR!! i should've just stayed in bed!!! anyway, i called Lorna to let her know that class was cancelled. i was, or rather, she was, lucky enough for me to call her right before she was about to leave for class.

aaaaanyway, so when i went back out for my 2nd class of the day, i bumped into one of my old highschool friends, Leon, that i've pretty much lost contact with. i haven't seen him in like a year or so. we just said quick "hi"s & went our ways to classes. he was going to MC while i was going to St. Jerome's.

after my night class, i just went to the SLC 3rd floor & dropped off my books, went home to change & then over to the plaza to get some dinner at Mikey's. didn't feel like making something to eat. :P studied for the rest of the night until about..1.30am.

Wednesday, i had to go to Dollarama to buy a basic (non-scientific) calculator for my Educational Psychology test on Thursday. we couldn't use scientific calculators 'cuz the prof said that we could save formulas or hide them on the calculators. bleh. so i walked to Dollarama down by Phillip St. & Albert St. it actually wasn't as far as i thought it would be.

so i go into Dollarama & locate the stationary section. took one look at the calculators they had to offer. they looked like CRAP! but what do you expect at the dollar store right? i opted not to buy from there 'cuz i felt that it would break on me. i just couldn't trust the calculator there. so i walked out & went over to the Shopper's Drug Mart in the same plaza. ahh...a nice Casio basic calculator. cost me $9 bucks, but whatever, it was nice & i felt like i could rely on it. walking to & back from the Dollarama only took me 45mins! so that was good! :D

in the evening, i went to study at the SLC 3rd floor again. this time until 12.30am. i dunno why, but i couldn't just fully concentrate on studying. i felt like nothing was going in. which is obviously not good. so yeah..i just kinda gave up on that.

so today, went to morning class (SoE), & my prof was actually teaching something today. i was expecting to get our brief research papers back today, but nope! she's not finished marking them yet. she said to email her our mailing addresses & she'll mail it to us when she's finished. what a waste of money, but whatever, i'm probably gonna email her 'cuz i want my paper back & i want to know how i did on it.

after that class, i came back home for lunch & try a bit of last minute cramming. didn't really study as hard as i should've, but meh. went to write the test. looked at the first 3 questions...skipped all 3. that's not a good sign is it? lol. so for those of you in highschool that like multiple choice tests right now. once you get to university, you'll hate them (especially if you do poorly on them!). i used to like MC questions, but now i don't really like them. i came out of that test thinking, "what the heck just happened?!" it was hard, maybe the hardest of the 4 i've taken from that class. i hope to come out of that test with a decent mark. :S

Introduction to Human Sexuality class was just as it was always. although i kinda found this one rather boring. meh, it was my last class of the day, & of the term, so i could care less i guess.

rushed home so i could prepare pasta for Alpha tonight. it was potluck night & everyone was to bring something. we had quite a variety. sushi, chicken fajitas, chicken wings, quiches, perogies, pizzas, a sweet soup (forgot what it was called), chocolate cake, brownies, & my pasta (did i forget anything?).

i actually fell asleep this time during the Alpha video. i was really tired for some reason. actually i'm pretty tired right now. but yeah, i haven't fallen asleep in Alpha since the 2nd one i attended. i guess i end as i start. :P oh gosh, i hope that's not the same with academics! :S

so yeah..during the discussion, it was focussed primarily on the issue of homosexuality & Christianity. pretty deep subject, but we didn't really come to a conclusion other than the fact that..you could be homosexual, but whether you act upon your thoughts & feelings is whether you've sinned or not (i think that was the conclusion). so yeah, you can have homosexual thoughts, but if you act upon it, you've sinned. i think that's what my understanding of it was.

so after Alpha, Betty, Brenda, Eric, & i watched X2 at Betty & i's place. Betty had just gotten home when i got home, & Eric left Alpha early to go to an orchestra performance at Hagey Hall, & Brenda went home first to finish up an assignment. but yeah, we were able to start the movie at around 12am-ish.

my beef with the X-Men movies has been Halle Berry's portrayal of Storm. ok, Berry's hot, but like she really CAN'T act Storm's part. she's suppose to have a more intimidating, yet sexy presence. but all that there is, is sexy, no leadership or intimidation whatsoever. she's stupid too! like..when Jean goes something like "Oh no, Cerebro's not targeting mutants anymore." & Storm says, "Who is it targeting now?" um..HELLO! who else can it target? there's only two that it can target, mutants & humans!!! DUH!! *sigh*..stupid Storm...

before we got to the movie though, we played NHL2003. i beat Brenda's Devils with my beloved Avs, 5-0 (3 of the goals were like trickled) & i beat Eric's Flames with Japan, 2-0.

now it's time for me to pack up 'cuz i'm going home tomorrow for the weekend!

have a good weekend everyone! & good luck to those in university who have begun finals! :D
