Volleyball Champs!

WooT! my team, Over.net, won the Intermediate C Flight Championship this afternoon. we had a semi-final game right before the finals too. we won both games with 2-0 wins. the championship match wasn't as challenging as we'd hoped. it seemed to be some sort of precursor to tomorrow night's hockey finals tilt against the C-Cups. the team we played in the vball finals was an all-girls team too. with their skill level (not a diss to all girls mind you), i was surprised to see them in the finals.

so anyway, we were lucky to be in the finals in any case. we've had some good & unfortunate luck on our side. in our first playoff game, we were lucky that our 4th player arrived just before the match was gonna be defaulted, & we won with just 4 players against a full team of 6-7 players. the 2nd playoff game was defaulted by the other team, thus enabling us to make it to the semi-finals. when we played a pick-up game against the other team however, they seemed to show promise & skill. but then, that was just 3 players, dunno about the rest of the team. this afternoon (Sunday), we were able to be better than the other teams.

as a result of our championship win! our captain, Andrew graciously treated us to dinner at BubbleTease & even told us not to go easy. furthermore, we had a teammate that couldn't make the game 'cuz she was working at BubbleTease, give us some free drinks. so that was sweet!

so yeah, before vball, went to church at CFC, & then came home & watched Lion King with Betty over lunch. took like a 10min nap just before vball.

after vball & dinner, came home & showered, then headed off to the SLC to study with Brenda. got a chapter done for Educational Psychology (got the final test on Thursday), went home at 1pm-ish, wrote up this blog, & now i'm gonna work on some problems for EP, so i can go to the tutorial tomorrow to get help if i need it.
