F2005 Lifesong: One Life
first off. great job everyone! great effort. i really enjoyed this term's Lifesong. the music was great, the media presentations were awesome (despite the technical difficulties!), & the drama was funny!
the music started off kinda slowly, like i dunno, in my opinion, the performers at the beginning of Lifesong weren't as strong as the ones at the end. i thought the girl who sang Only Hope had an awesome voice. almost sounded exactly like Mandy Moore at the end of her song. then the group that did Who Am I? & another that sang Believer did awesome jobs in closing out the night.
the drama was pretty funny. the devils did most of the talking and Ginny talked at the end when she resisted against the Satan or something..professor.."devil"..haha..some parts were pretty funny, especially when they had to freeze, fast forward, or rewind. what it was, was the prof was training devils to be..well devilish. :P & they'd learn through simulation programs, so that's why there's freezing, fast forwarding, & rewinding. the best was Chris' disco-afro-pose! haha..i also liked Jeff Lai's devil prop he made. very creative.
the media presentations were pretty well done. i liked the clips & the quotes that were used, as well as the songs that went along with it. the one i particularly liked was the one with all the quotes & the U2 song. i also liked the one where they used a bunch of movies to depict what msg they were trying to convey. however, throughout the night, i think i really MISSED the msg. i didn't really get much out of this year's Lifesong. :S it was kinda just a show. maybe the one thing i could've gotten out of tonight was the msg that..when life is going tough, don't give up. trust in the Lord & He'll give you eternal life.
so yeah, anyway, the night ended, took a whole bunch of random pictures (might post them on Imagestation or something). didn't really take any pictures DURING Lifesong, but rather, afterwards while everyone was loitering.
after Lifesong, a whole bunch of us went to hotpot near King & Bridgeport. oh man, ate SO MUCH. so much beef, chicken, noodles, dumplings, beef balls..man, it was GOOD! it was good times, with all jokes & stuff. it was good time of just conversation & having some good fun with ppl. however, SOMEONE slapped me across the FACE!! :O RUUUUUUDE! hahaha..can't believe you did that yo! name will be withheld.. *gives cut eye*
so yeah, that didn't finish until about 2am-ish..man, ate for 2.5hrs. what kinda midnight "snack" is that?! lol..i had like 2 dinners tonight..one before & one after Lifesong! too much food yo.. :P
so yeah, that was pretty much Friday night.
i wrote some stuff down in my planner, which is something i'll probably be doing more often now when i want to blog about something. when i had something i wanted to write about, i'd be like, "oh i'll remember it later," but then i'd forget it completely. so yeah. gonna jot stuff down. so let's see what i wrote down so far..
ok, so i was walking to class with Lorna on Thursday morning, & she noticed a squirrel on the side of a building that has all these thick roots growing up the side. ever since i read the Encyclopiedia Brown book when i was a kid where he had a case about squirrels walking down trees; i've always noticed that the squirrels always climb down head first rather than tail first. did you know that? anyway, this one seemed to be struggling on his way down, he ...or she, almost lost it's footing. then that just got me wondering..what if the squirrel fell off, would they land on their feet like cats, or would they like have no control over how they landed like us humans, for the most part anyway?
another observation is one i made in my Introduction to Sexually class. there's this guy that sits near the front of the class. he always..& i mean ALWAYS, has some plastic clothes hanger with him. Tuesday he had a yellow one, on Thursday he had a green one. i just don't really understand why he has the hanger with him. i don't think he goes to the gym or anything, nothing's hanging off the hanger..if there's something he didn't want to fold or anything, he wouldn't have put it in his bag right? anyway, he always either puts it in his pant pocket with like more than half of it sticking out, hangs it on the collar of his shirt, or wedge it in his arm or leg. so i dunno..i just wonder, what is the purpose of holding on to the hanger? just put it in your backpack if you're not using it! geez, weirdos!
so yeah..that's just some things i wanted to say.
that is all.
g'nite, g'day.

The coat hanger is for the "Gotcha" game that people play in res. Remember when people would go around with forks or straws in first year?
and you TOLD me to hit you! don't provoke if you don't wanna get hit! :P
