Golfing
so i went golfing on a course for the first time in my life last night. went with Vince, Silas, & Joel to the The Academy Course at BraeBen (the old Mississauga Landfill) which is right across from Sonoma Park. we played the 9 hole par 3 golf course.
lemme tell you. i suck. Vince is an all-star. he shot a 19 over par. Joel and Silas ain't too shabby either. they shot 28 and 30 over par respectively. i shot 40 over par! i suck! hahhaa...but we each had some pretty good shots. sometimes we over shot the green! haha..
my best shot came when i did the Happy Gilmore golf swing and drove it straight down the middle (for once, my drives, if i can drive always hook to the right). it only worked once. i bogeyed the hole anyway, but i beat Vince! hehehe! i have too much of a baseball swing when i golf, it's just more natural to me. i don't golf properly. haha..golf ain't my sport. but it was fun nonetheless.
then we went to Macy's for dinner. it was ok. the HK style tea was good though! nice and sweet! Rebecca called Vince from Boston, and yeah, Vince wasn't able to eat! so we packed up his dinner! way to go! :P
so after dinner, Joel drove Silas home, and i went over to his house until about 2am. hahahaa.. i wanted to see his new turtle he got. it's freaking huge with huge-ass claws! he was like Lady DeathStryke! but anyway, the real reason i was over was to see them devour his last two fishes. Joel wanted them to die anyway so he could clean the tank! hahaha..
so i helped out the turtles in catching the fishes. actually, big mama (the smaller turtle now) was always trying to get out of the tank. freaking cyko! so she missed out on the feeding frenzy. i helped out big daddy catch the fishes. Joel has this platform where the turtle could fit inside and still move around a bit. so big daddy in there, and i'd catch a fish with a net and then drop it down a hole on the side, and then..put the fish net at the opening on the other side so the fish couldn't escape, and then..ATTACK! man..big daddy is vicious! Joel took some pictures of him feasting! haha..it was gruesome, but COOL!
afterwards, talked to Joyce for a while 'cuz she got home at around 11pm-12am i think. i don't remember. then Joel and i played some NFL Street on his X-Box. haha that game is fun once you get the hang of it. i actually got really accustomed to the offense. i could almost score on every drive, unless the other team was using the gamebreaker! haha..i think i could beat Joel if i played him again..but who knows..he knows my game plan now. there's a trick play that works like a charm almost all the time.
well didn't do too much today. slept-in for the first time in a while. felt good i must say. i woke up at 12.30pm and just chilled for most of the afternoon. i was gonna start my packing, but i'm procrastinating with that bit too.
stepped out for just a little while before dinner to drop something off at Angie's place, and stayed there to chat with her and Vanessa, although, they were the ones that did most of the talking! i haven't seen them for pretty much the whole summer. actually there's some ppl that i haven't seen the whole summer from highschool. but things change, ppl change i guess.
anyway, while i was there, i was just absorbing information. just makes me realize how old we're becoming, or how strange it is that ppl are pregnant and getting married these days.
anyway, hopefully i'll be able to do something productive tonight. we'll see i guess..
take care y'all.
i like this song. :)

The Story Goes...
Let Her Go
You were her only girl
The most precious thing in her world
And I know it makes you cry
That you never got to say goodbye
You were just running out of time
To say what was on your mind
You never wanted her to leave
And mom I know it makes you grief
But why don't you celebrate the moments that you shared yeah
'Cuz now she's watching over you
It's true
And you know it too
Just let her go...
If you can't take the pain
Of a broken heart
Just let her go...
I know it feels as though hope is gone
And it hurts to think of moving on
But she'd never want to see you sad
Even though I know this hurts so bad
Devoted a life to you
And helped raise the grandson too
And now I hope you realize
That I'll always be there by your side
But why don't we celebrate the moments that we shared yeah
'Cuz now she's watching over you
It's true
And you know it too
Just let her go...
If you can't take the pain
Of a broken heart
Just let her go...
You never knew how much she tried to fight it
And when you needed her around she'd be there
But you can reassure yourself that she's at ease
And that's why it's time for you
To...
Just let her go...
If you can't take the pain
Of a broken heart
Just let her go...
If you can't take the pain
Of a broken heart
Just let her go... (just let her go, let her go)
If you can't take the pain
Of a broken heart
Just let her go... (just let her go, let her)
If you can't take the pain...
