Baptism Sunday
congratulations go out to Jamie and Kevin for getting baptized this morning! :) i'm glad that both of you have proclaimed yourselves as followers of Christ. :) Kevin's testimony was pretty funny too. kinda reminds me of Ben Stiller's character in Dodgeball, with the remarks like "i didn't really know the meaning of Christ, but i know.." haha..it was funny. :)
the service itself was SOOOO LONG! over 2.5hrs probably because it was a joint service for both english and chinese congregations and the translations made it long. and it was PACKED! had to sit in the back on regular chairs rather than in the pews. it was crazy.
after service, dropped off Steve back at home, and drove my brother home as well. had lunch while watching Roger Federer beat Andy Roddick in the Cincinnati Masters final. Federer is the man! he's got a freaking 22-match winning streak in finals. that's crazy! he's like unbeatable when he makes it to the final of any tournament. it's sick.
took a brief nap before dropping off my brother at the tennis courts and i headed over to the game diamond to take in the Cworks/Konoha game. sat in the Cworks dugout and chatted with some of the players there. Cworks won, so with the win, they also take over 1st place in the standings going into the tournament. Saved by the Bell finishes 2nd. Cworks and us actually have identical records (i think), but they have the tiebreaker 'cuz they beat us when we played earlier in the season.
anyway, an edit from yesterday post about Friday. i forgot to mention another highlight in the children's musical "We Like Sheep". there was a kid in the front row that was really into the last song of the play, and he was dancing around like a thug. lol..it was so funny, he was so gansta! Rebecca and i had a pretty good laugh at that one. the kids were pretty cute. :P
well, tonight should be a night of relaxation. i feel like i've been overwhelmed with a lot of activities lately, so tonight would be a nice night to just sit back and do nothing. be lazy. so i'm watching Star Wars on CBC right now, and then at 9pm, i think i'll switch over to The Transporter on CityTv. yeah, i have no reason to tell you this, but whatever. :)
even though i want a night of relaxation, i really hope that this high i've been on doesn't dwindle too much. i'm having a lot of fun right now, and i don't really want it to end. don't want it to crash and burn. :P but i believe that it probably has reached the peak, and it'll just plateau.. :S
and almost like every blog i post, there has to be a complaint! :P ain't life full of them? i dislike how my TV always messes up right at the moment there's something i want to watch after lasting for a while without going all crazy staticky. it's so annoying 'cuz most of the time it's a one time play thing. for example, i was watching Sportsnet News and they were playing the Misplays of the Week. the TV decides this would be a nice time to turn up the static. so i missed most of it. so annoying mang! GAH!
