Extra Work

man, last Friday was suppose to be my last day of work, but now it looks like i have to work until tomorrow. stupid backed up Orlando stuff! :@ oh well, more work = more money i guess. but really i wanted to take the week off and bum around, even though my academic schedule will allow me to do that for 5 out of the 7 days of the week for the next 4 months. but still. work is work. school is school. they're different in a lot of aspects.

so yeah, i might work on some of the work i need to get done tonight, so i have less to do tomorrow and be able to leave work earlier rather than later. plan on going grocery shoppin' on Thursday too, but i have to watch what i buy 'cuz we have 4 ppl sharing a fridge and freezer now. i hope we'll be able to manage.

i really don't have much to say since i've pretty much talked about everything i wanted to get out from the past week. it was pretty packed. i wonder if anyone read all three posts i put up on Sunday night. i congratulate you if you did. no one leaves me comments anymore either. boo to that. :P

anyway, a lot of ppl are leaving for school or working elsewhere, or just on vacation right now. seems like there's no one around anymore. the summer days are dead.

you know how the phrase goes, "you don't know what you have until it's gone"? yeah, i feel like i'm going through that. i dunno if it's the initial shock of it all, and it's something that i need to get used to, or will get used to as the school term goes on. but yeah, i think it's just odd that the ppl you talk to most, just aren't there to talk to anymore 'cuz of lack of resources or internet where they are, or because they're just too busy.

anyway, i'm kinda looking forward to the school year. not because of school, but because of the challenge of living with 3 ppl that i've never lived with before. it's like 2nd yr all over again when i lived with Jeff, Lawrence, Rebecca, and Sung-Hon, and then later with Ben and Eric moving in (replacing Jeff and Sung-Hon 'cuz of co-op). so yeah, this year, the last year of my university career (i hope), i'll be living with Betty, Lorna, and Gabe. an interesting group i must day, and a lot off ppl have said it was an interesting mix of ppl. hopefully we won't kill each other! :P

i'm also looking forward to the school term 'cuz, well i can't wait to get out of Mississauga. i need time away from the family again, even though i went to Orlando for almost a week, it isn't enough, and it was temporary. just like school is tempoarary for 8 months.

i dunno if i really dread life after university. it's just a matter of me dealing with where i am. family can really get on my nerves...easily. i'm really trying my best to change the way act around here. like, they're my family.

gah, anyway, on a totally different topic from everything, fantasy pools are beginning to start up again for the school term. i've joined football and hockey pools this year. both with Yahoo! so far, only the football pool has had the draft. hockey won't be for another month or so.

so my team name is Sponsor Me for the football pool. the draft was an autopick draft. so we had to preset our draft list and hoped for the best. it's a good way for random teams i guess. for the hockey pool, we're actually meeting up at church and doing a live draft, so we can actually see each other and see who drafts who. which i think is a pretty cool way to do a draft.

anyway, my football team. i was able to drafted these players:

Defensive Team: Pittsburgh

Defensive Players: T. Spikes (Buf), J. Miller (NYJ), R. McQuarters (Det), T. Kelly (Oak), L. Fletcher (Buf)

so yeah..most of the defensive players, i have really know clue who they are except for Spikes and Fletcher since the channels here always show Buffalo Bills games. i want to get rid of Janikowski and Carr, and maybe a rookie running back to get a more established running back 'cuz that area lacks experience. i have 3 rookie running backs on my roster, and that ain't cool!

we'll see how i do this year. i don't have Peyton Manning as my QB this year. boo! hahaha..last year it was all Manning and Owens. :P
