The Weekend & A Little Bit..

this past weekend i went back home to Mississauga, just 'cuz. just 'cuz i could, and just 'cuz i didn't have to do anything in terms of birthdays, planned visits, and school.

so i headed back on Friday night. my sister picked me up in an Infiniti G35x sedan! the car was pretty nice, lots of power and has one of those fancy GPS map systems! we thought that we were able to play a DVD in the car as well, but to no avail. so yeah, my sister had the G35 for the weekend since she won a contest at work. so that was pretty cool! it's a very smooth ride! :)

later Friday evening, i met up with my friend Ayse for some bubbletea at 168. i don't think i ever want to go back there. it's getting pretty crappy haha! the tapioca was like waaay too soft. it was like mushy and gross. bleh! but anyway, yeah, we were able to catch up with what's going on in our lives and stuff. i haven't seen her since the summer ended, actually i think the last time i saw her was when we went to watch Collateral back on August 14 (i collect movie stubs :P). so yeah, we had a good chat, but i had to cut it short 'cuz my hearing battery was dying! hehehe..oops! :P

when i got home, i watched the end of the Raptors/Sonics game. it was a heartbreaker. later on, my brother and i decided to finish X-Men: Legends game. so, after 21+ hours of real-time playing combined (we only played for like 3hrs that night) we finally beat the game. actually, Jay and Matt finished the game while i was watching. i played up to the final boss.

we started the night at the 2nd last mission, which was to save Professor X from the Shadow King. but it was really Professor X versus Shadow King to finish that mission. so i fought him. SK kept on shooting me in the ass with arrows as i tried to dodge them. i was able to beat him, but when i thought i beat him, he regenerated! BOO! but at least he didn't have the arrows anymore! :D so i had to fight him again, and then halfway thru his life bar he split into 3. blah! so in the end, i kicked his butt. ninja'd him! BOOYA! mission complete! :P

the next mission was to go to Asteroid M to prevent it from crashin' into New York City. lalala..we faced the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants lead by Magneto. so we fought him, as well as Sabretooth and Mystique. it wasn't so hard. :P then the last boss was Mastermold. he's the dude that makes all those Sentinels. he was the hardest boss to beat. we died a lot, but lucky that there was a save point right before we faced him lol! and we were able to go back there every time to revive dead members of our team :P. we finally figured out how to beat the game by lookin' on the web for help. like honestly, how else would you figure out how to beat 'em? so yeah..to prevent any spoilers, i'm not gonna say how we beat him, but we did. mission complete!

now all i gotta do is finish all the Danger Room exercises and stuff to maybe unlock more stuff. for finishing the story game, we unlocked the Xtreme X-Men uniforms. i haven't seen them yet. but i think they're ugly if i remember from the comics. :P

so that was Friday, didn't go to bed until 5am. i woke up at 3pm Saturday afternoon. what did i do for the afternoon? i think i watched tv. nothing special. later in the evening i went to watch The Incredibles with Rebecca. hahaa, it was such a good movie!! go watch it! although it's a little mature for kids, i think it's still a kids movie, but also a movie for adults! it's for EVERYONE! "honey? where is my super suit?" :P hehehe i think that scene was my favourite out of the whole movie. it was good to chill with Rebecca too. we never really get to hang out much, so it was nice just to hang out and chat before and after the movie. :)

Sunday was church. it was nice to see everyone again. the service was very, energetic. the speaker was like full of energy! i think the thing i got out of the message that morning was that in order for us to freely give we got to be able to freely receive. at least that's what i felt the emphasis was, and it was near the end. whoops! lol :P but yeah, i another thing i got out of the service was to just focus on God even tho our minds are so scattered and with the business (busyness?) of our lives. like don't forget to spend time with Him and only Him.

after service, we did what we normally do. go to Tim Hortons. haha...and i got my usual, small hot chocolate and a donut. :P so a bunch of us sat and chatted for about an hour there. so i went home after that and ate lunch and watched some NFL football. ahh, this time i got some variety in what i could watch! i decided to watch the New York Jets/Baltimore Ravens game. it was a good game that went into overtime! Ravens won if anyone wanted to know. then i tried to read my book that i have to read, i was able to finish the chapter, but i was too tired to start another one, so i took a nap until dinner time. it wasn't the greatest nap either 'cuz my sister wouldn't shut up! she's so loud! but then again, maybe i should've took my hearing aid off. i normally take naps with it on.

anyway, so after dinner, packed up to go back to Waterloo via FedBus. took a nap on that too! lol..what else can you do on the bus? i don't know no one! so you sleep! so yeah, got back, unpacked..popped in a movie, and watched Back To The Future since i've wanted to watch it for a while only because of Chuck Berry's song "Johnny B. Goode." haha i learned about it in my Popular Music & Culture class. Marty McFly performs it in the movie. :P it's a good movie too! go watch it! :P

and then i read another chapter before i went to bed and fell asleep on the last page. hahaha..

• the week coming up, finish this book so i can write the book review that's due on Thursday afternoon - 1pm for my History of Popular Culture class.
• playoff hockey game later that night! so come out and watch y'all! 10pm CIF!
• lastly, an assignment due for my Social Psychology of Leisure class on Friday morning - 11.30am (btw, does anyone know how to make a timeline on the computer?? HELP please!!)

so i did get a move on the book and i found this interesting quote from the book:

i think i'll try to incorporate that into my book review. stupid book! stupid book review! well, at least the book is getting more interesting since it's starting to talk about like..the more modern days (as in, like 1970s to present) rather than WWI days. man, the first couple chapters are so hard to get through, i kept falling asleep!

anyway, the night was a night of reading..with a break to watch CSI: Miami in between. and MSNing. yes. haHA.. David Caruso can't act. he sucks. i don't him. they should CSI him for bad acting. it's a crime.
