Starfield BABY!!!

So this past Friday, I went to see Starfield in concert at the Calvary Pentacostal Assembly Church in Cambridge, Ontario. It was a nice church, it can be comparable to MCBC really. Man it would be awesome if Starfield came to MCBC!

Anyway, the events leading up to the concert aren't that interesting. I just went into Waterloo and arrived at around 2.30pm, met up with Betty, hung out for a while. Went to pick up Vanessa and Kevin, had dinner at McDonald's, and then we were off to Cambridge and met up with Denise and company up there.

We didn't get that good seats, but y'know, that's alright. It doesn't matter. It was still enjoyable. Everyone was invited to stand at infront of the stage anyway, so we went up for a bit, for like 3 songs. Then we went back to our seats so we could sit if we pleased. Plus the crowd was a bit surprisingly rowdy. Some immature fans were pushing each other around like a mosh pit. It got to a point where the lead singer of Starfield, Tim Neufeld, ahd to tell them to not do that. I was laughing when that happened because inside I was like, "Yeah, that's right! You got TOLD!"

But yeah, the concert was amazing! I really enjoyed it and singing along at the top of my lungs was fun as well. I didn't care how I sounded to others 'cuz it wasn't for them and ultimately, it was for God. The night was for God.

Wow, Starfield sound so good live. They almost sound as they do on their albums. I cannot say how cool the experience was. It was fun.

Starfield opened the night with My Generation, their first song on their latest album, Beauty in the Broken. Then they followed with a few "popular" worship songs, such as
Blessed Be Your Name. But yeah, from what I remember, they also performed The Hand That Holds The World, Son of God, Obsession, and Shipwreck from Beauty in the Broken. They also performed Filled With Your Glory and Revolution from their self-titled album, Starfield. Every one of them were awesome.

It's too bad that Vanessa, Kevin, and I had to leave early because we didn't want to be late for hockey practice back in Waterloo, but we were lucky that they finished their set right at the time we designated to leave. But we missed the encore where they played (from what I heard)
Alive In This Moment and Cry In My Heart.

Definately interested in seeing them in concert again the next time they come.

So, hockey practice. It was fun this time around. We actually did some drills I actually enjoyed. Got me moving and stuff. I'm looking forward to next week's practice because we're finally having a scrimmage between the two teams. So far we've been mixed with both CCF beginner teams, so we haven't really had a chance to meet everyone on our respective teams. So that should be a fun practice next Saturday...but it sucks that it's in the morning! Hahaha..but hey, we got a game next Sunday as well, so W00T!

After hockey practice some of us went out to eat at Mel's Diner. MMM..breakfast food. Got the Mel's Favourite which gave me 2 pieces of toast, lots of taters, 2 scrambled eggs, and 3 sausages. YUMS! I didn't finish it all. :( But oh wells. It was getting pretty late, I think we finished at around 2am, I called Kevin Leung earlier in the evening to let him know that I wouldn't be crashing at his place that night 'cuz I didn't want to disturb anyone if they were already sleeping. Besides my stuff was already all at Vanessa's place anyway since I had to unload my car so we could put in 4 hockey bags and 3 people. So yeah, I crashed at Vanessa's that night.

Didn't wake up until almost noon on Saturday, the sleep was a little uncomfortable since I slept on the floor (next time, I'm sleeping on the couches and chair!). Hahaha..but yeah, Vanessa and Kevin Chan cooked lunch for us (there was 4 of us). W00T and we watched She's All That on the tv since it was on. Rachael Leigh Cook is hot!! But yeah, thank you to Vanessa and Sara for letting me crash at your place! :)

After lunch, went with Vanessa and Kev to DC Library to do a bit of reading. Though I didn't really get much done 'cuz I was trying so hard not to pass out. AND was trying to get the internet working on my laptop, but to no avail. Stupid UW-Wireless. Piece of crap! :) But yeah, I left at 5pm to go back home.

Saturday night was nothing special. Just played a lot of NHL07 with my brother. We created ourselves and drafted and traded players on our team to make it a superstar team. If more than 4 players get injured, we're screwed! LOL..we've got so many superstars on our team that I don't even remember them all!

Sunday was also nothing special. Just went to church, and then back home and watched some NFL football, and played some NHL07 some more. My brother bought Madden07 too. And I'm paying for half of it. HAHAHA..

And now I'm gonna watch a movie. I don't know which one yet.

Have a good week y'all!
