Short Fun Week

What a long week. I think every night this past "short" week, I only got like 5.5hrs of sleep. MAX. Until last night. Oh, I need more nights like last night. 4am sleep wake up at 9am, and then back to bed at 10.30am until....4pm. HAHAHAA. I only woke up because I had to go to the Driver's License office at Sheridan Mall to pick up some forms for my brand new used car! WooT! :P

Monday night..I don't even remember what happened on Monday night. Sooooo, I'll just skip it. If I was hanging out with you on Monday, don't take offense. My memory just sucks. Maybe you can remind me. ;)

Tuesday night was Purpose Driven Life small groups at Victoria's. I like the small group we have, and I think it's gonna be fun. It was a real late night since I didn't get home until 11.30pm. But, I need to get crackin' on the readings. :S I'm bad. I've only read the first chapter, but I'm determined to get some readings done tonight.

So on Wednesday night at dinner, my oldest sister is like..pissed off at me for some reason, so I was kinda like, "What?" Y'know? And she was like, "As soon as you get the car, you go out and come home so late. That's so irresponsible."...I couldn't believe she said that. Sure, I got home pretty late, but was that my fault? Is it my fault that the small group ran late? Sure we were talking a bit afterwards, but I'm not gonna just bolt out of there y'know? And, another thing, I only had the car for ONE FREAKING NIGHT!

Now, if I wanted to make an argument about irresponsibility against her, well I have one. How about being more responsible in taking care of yourself? It's nice to see you when you come home and all, y'know? But, how about not coming home everyday for dinner? Learn to cook for yourself...about doing that for 2 or 3 days straight? You have a condo for a reason and that's to live in it. Not to just sleep in it.

Anyway, it was ONE night. Sheesh. So far anyway.

Wednesday, I met up with my good ol' little sister of mine, Odelia. I got her a little going-away gift. It was something we saw at a Chapters once when we were killing time for something (I forget what) and I always told her that I was gonna get it for her. And I finally did before I headed up to meet up with her in Brampton at the Bramelea Town Centre (or something like that). She bought a photo album, I bought another book (for myself this time). We went to a nearby Starbucks (NEVER GOING AGAIN! STARBUCKS SUCKS!) and chatted. Before we went in though, I had to find some way to sneak the gift to her without giving it to her. Knowing her, if I gave it to her in person, she probably wouldn't accept it. SOOO, before we went in, I went over to her car before she got out, and opened her passenger door. It confused her, but she got out of her car regardless, and with her back turned to me, I took that opportune moment to drop the bag into her car.

So we went into Starbucks and took our orders. While we were waiting for our drinks, I noticed that her car lights were still on, so I tell her. She goes out to check up on it and turns the lights off. Then she comes back inside and tells me that I left my book in her car. But I said I didn't. But she insisted that I left it there and "betted" me. So I took up the offer. I kept saying I didn't leave anything in her car. But anyway, we chatted for a bit and I left Brampton at around quarter to 10pm. So yeah, Odie was pretty surprised when she found what it was. HAHAA..got her goooooood! :P

I left early too because I had an online fantasy football draft to do. That didn't even happen because Yahoo was messed up. So blah! What a waste of time.

Thursday night. I did my friend, Vanessa a favour. Pretty big one at that. She owes me! HAHAHAA.. :P Let me tell you about my friend Vanessa. She also known to her friends as a bork, street, native...among other names. She's in 2nd year at the University of Waterloo for the Nanotechnology Engineering program and hails from Calgary, Alberta.

So Vanessa flew into Toronto on Wednesday night and stayed overnight here at her aunt's. On Thursday, I picked her up at Sherway Gardens and after dinner, drove her into Waterloo. Yup, I drove her into Waterloo. Saved her some money. :P But I thought it was a good opportunity to catch up with her in person since I haven't seen her since April. It was nice to see her face again....and to make fun of her. :P It was a fun night despite the fact that we were moving all her stuff (how did she accumulate so much JUNK?!), most of it was at Steve's place in the basement storage.

Anyway, there were two "moment of the night"s. First was when we met her residence don. They introduced each other and whatnot, and then out of the blue her don asks if I was her boyfriend. :S Vanessa laughed and said, "Oh, nononono, he's just a friend!!" And as we were leaving, Vanessa just runs away and starts laughing. I was laughing too 'cuz it was a shocker. But in reality, it shouldn't be that funny or be a real shocker. That's just the way society thinks these days. At any given time, when you see a guy and girl, isn't it almost automatic to think, "Oh, they must be going out?" But, I guess it's funny to us because we know of what our status is, and it's funny what and how people think.

Anyway, this boyfriend question moment lead to the next moment, which I thought was freaking hilarious 'cuz I've never seen it happen this badly before in my whole life. As we neared the stairwell, Vanessa's back was towards the stairs, talking and laughing at me, and then just as she's turning around, she hits the steps and SPLAT! I just started laughing my head off..I mean, it was probably mean of me, but I'm sure she would've laughed if that happened to me! After a while, of course, I asked her if she was alright and she was, but she was laughing too. But man, that was hilarious. It was like pure PK man. Unbelievable! I'll never forget it, and I'll never let her forget it!

Didn't leave Waterloo until almost 11pm and didn't get home until close to midnight. Crashed as soon as I got in. Didn't even bother washing up. I was too tired. I was glad that traffic was relatively clear on both ways, to and from Waterloo.

Friday was the last gathering at Odie's place. It was a good night of conversations and laughter. Gonna miss the little one. :P I don't really have much to say about Friday night.

So that was my busy and eventful week. Now that everyone is back at school and stuff, it officially marks the end of the summer. It's kinda weird that I'm not going back to Waterloo after being so accustomed to it over the last 6 years. I'm not even done school yet because of one measely course. A freaking half credit that's preventing me from graduating. So now, this term, I'm taking a distance education course - a Religious Studies course called Evil..and hopefully, I'll be able to use this knowledge and apply it to the evil that Waterloo is. Grr..

Anyway, there's a lot of things to watch tomorrow one of which is the U.S. Open Men's Final. Federer vs Roddick. GO FED! The other is FOOTBALL! NFL is finally back! And in another month, NHL is back! WooT!

Congratulations on the car man! And yeah Federer won! But I wouldn't have minded Roddick actually either, he doesn't bug me anymore like he use to.
