The End

The title of this entry, I feel, is very fitting. It just seems that a lot of things are coming to an end. I don't know if I'll be able to get all of what I want to say. But here goes nothing.
  • Softball
So, H2O's season officially ended last weekend, on the 20th with a loss to Remnants, 20-8. Yes, we got killed. I'm not gonna take anything away from Remnants. They were good. They were big and they were good. They hit all the holes, and did what they needed to do to get the job done. We tried, and we all played hard. Even though our season ended, there was still a lot of positives to come out of the game, as well as the season. 3 plays stood out in our 2nd round playoff loss (we got a bye in the 1st round). Desmond hit yet another homer for us, Phil made a diving catch that looked like he dislocated his shoulder, and lastly, the Desmond-Benson-Mindy relay play at home.

This season, H2O made big strides and made a name for ourselves in the CCSA league in our first year. According to teammate Gary, when he went to the playoff meeting and people where asking which team he was from, he'd say, "H2O." And then people would say, "Oh, I hear you guys are pretty good." Which is awesome to hear! Hopefully next season will be even better as we try to improve.

  • Sister
I will be living with no sisters soon. It'll be a little weird, but maybe a welcomed change. My younger older sister is moving out pretty soon to her condo in North York. Pretty sweet location, and her place has been renovated pretty nicely. So that's pretty cool. My oldest sister moved out in May, but I still see her practically everyday 'cuz she comes home practically everyday for dinner.
  • Carless
Pretty soon, I won't have to fight my brother over the usage of the minivan 'cuz I'll be buying my sister's car off her! I'll finally have my own ride. It's nothing fancy, but hey, it's got 4 wheels and a motor. I'm happy. It's still in pretty good condition, and I'll be really happy if I can get 2-3yrs out of it. It's a pretty old car, 1997 Ford Escort.
  • Being Lazy
I want to try to not sit infront of something for so long. So, I think I'm gonna try doing more running, sit ups, push ups, or whatever. I've decided not to join a gym just yet because I really don't know how much time I really would have to go. Will be juggling the tiredness of work, one more UW course (Evil - yes, that's the course name), and now I just joined the 40-Day Spiritual Purpose Driven Life Journey event at my church.
There was another thing that ended this summer, but I'm not gonna divulge into it out of respect. But I do have one thing to say: Thanks. :)

So, after all these things, this brings closure to the 2006 summer season. It's been quite a journey this summer. Lots of good, and a few bad. With a few moody periods in between. It's been different, but sometimes different is good for you. Thanks to everyone who made this summer what it was.

With this, I bid thee summer adieu, and bonjour fall, where a whole new set of challenges emerge.

Fall commence.
