What a Weekend..

a mixture of emotions really. that sums up the weekend. although i enjoyed my time at home, even though i didn't hang out with any friends this time, it was alright. i got to spend some time with my brother and played a lot of X-Men Legends. and i mean A LOT! lol. so far, we've spent about 17hrs on the game. we're almost finished. we're on mission 14 of 15. Friday night we stayed up until like 7am playing that game. haha..yeah crazy stuff!

so went to sleep early Saturday morning and woke up early Saturday afternoon to go to the mall and shop for my Mom's birthday present which is coming up on Tuesday. ended up buying uh..some face creme i think. i dunno what it was. lol. my mom picked it out and we just paid for it! haha..that's how it works in our family. later Saturday night we went out for dinner, and then i bummed around after that.

Sunday, i didn't get to go to church 'cuz i had to go to North York for "by-san." so yeah, it's been almost a year now since my grandma passed away. i still remember the call vividly when my mom notified me of the news here in Waterloo. i was sitting down studying for my Psych of Evil test (which got deferred). i just stopped studying after that, shocked. i knew that it was gonna happen, but i didn't think it would happen so soon. i knew there was trouble and all since she was in and out of the hospital a lot during a 2wk span. my grandma was a fighter. i still believe to this day that she was able to fight off her illness because she was able to see one son (my uncles) and daughter (my aunt) each day of the week since we they all took turns taking care of her. this made her happy and stronger. she fought to see the next day. i saw my grandma on occasion when i was back from Waterloo to visit her when my dad was taking care of her. she would always try to give us some food so we could take it home and stuff.

i still remember the days she lived with us. even though us kids were annoyed by her every now and then when she was living with us, i think we appreciated having her around. i think she liked our family the best. i feel that she was happiest here and most comfortable, after all she was under our roof for almost 17yrs. i remember when we used to get in trouble and knew that we were gonna get spanked (yes, we got spanked/punished haha) we'd run to the safe haven of our grandma's arms. i remember when i had a fake fly and i put it on the table and my grandma went to "kill" it! hahaha..that was hilarious. she even thought it was funny.

*sigh* i miss her dearly. i wish she was still with us today, but it's not worth the pain she was suffering here.

i couldn't help but notice that even after a year there is still no engraving on the tombstone. i wondered why it hasn't been done yet. but after we went to the cemetary, we would always go to one of our uncle's places to eat lunch. there was a huge argument, and everything just went awkward. i only learned later what the whole argument was about. i've never felt so angry before. i'm not gonna talk about this matter further, but i'm really disappointed. i'm very bitter and i have the right to be bitter. i never want to see my parents angry like that, especially my dad. it's so rare to see my dad so angry.

so yeah, i leave to go back to Waterloo, tried to sleep off the problem, but it's just so huge, that you can't. i think i'll have this raging fire inside of me for a while, but i'll control it obviously. so yeah..anyway, another thing just kinda set me off from the inside as well. there's this guy that was on the bus back, and he's the only dude sitting in the seat. we all know that school bus seats fits 2 ppl. but this guy was hogging up one seat 'cuz "there's no more room." i look at his seating arrangement, and i'm just like in disbelief. this guy has like all his shit stuffed in the corner of the seat, laptop, and a small plastic bag, and then his backpack in between his legs. "Sorry man, i have no more space, look, no more space!" btw, he's not talking to me, he's talking to ppl that want to sit down. i was so tempted to just say, "well put that shit on your lap and you'll have space for them." but i didn't say anything. i was like screw it, he's so dumb. WHAT A DUMBASS! i can't believe how many stupid fags are out there!! omg!! i'm so frustrated!! add this to the previous thing that happened..omg..i was about to explode!

so yeah, i'm back at my place, and yeah..i'm more calm now. unpacked and stuff, and started to talk to some ppl on ICQ/MSN. i just want to thank Odie and Sylvia for just talking to me tonight. you girls really just took me out of my frustrated mood and just helped me feel better.

Odie, thanks for cheering me up with your stories. you're so weird! i'm gonna pray for your ankle and your beat up little body. haha..we definately have to chill sometime and you can eat all the food i can't finish. rebel against your parents!! :P but yeah, really, thanks for putting a smile on my face. it's always fun to talk to you! GO POWER RANGERS! ;P haha..you geek!

Sylvia, thank you for your words. you've always been there for me whenever i needed to vent, no matter how busy you are (even no matter how FAR you are). i'm just very grateful to have found such a great friend in you. God has truly blessed me with your friendship. i'm so glad that things are falling in place for you over in BC, and i'll continue to pray for you. and i hope that these changes that you're making will make you a even better person (not that you aren't now, 'cuz you're super ;P). i'll be seeing you in 2 months time! :D

so i've been happy, sad, angry, and happy again all in a span of this weekend. i'm ending off tonight in a good mood. :) let's hope that the rest of the week will be good too..just gotta get this Sociology of Sport article review out of the way for Wednesday!

Fact File

armed with a bevy of bone-crushing steel tentacles, Dr. Octopus has dedicated his warped genius to the eradication of his most hated foe - the Amazing Spiderman

Doctor Octopus's Powers

Dr. Octopus can control his mechanical arms telpathically over vast distances. at full extension, the mechanical appendages allow him to travel high above the ground as if on stilts.

Doctor Octopus's Weapons

Dr. Octopus's abilities derive from his four steel tentacles. each telepathically controlled, telescoping limb can move at speeds of up to 90ft/s and strike with the force of a jackhammer. also, Doc Ock is able to generate 50mph wind by spinning like a giant fan.

Doctor Octopus's Beginnings

in the beginning, he was Otto Octavius - a brilliant and respected nuclear physicist, inventor and lecturer. frustrated by the limitations of the human body, Octavius designed and built a set of robotic arms to assist him in his research. unfortunately, the world can only guess at the scientific heights to which this genius might have ascended.

Doctor Octopus's History

a freak laboratory accident exposed Octavius to intense radioactivity, grafting the robotic arms to his body and granting him complete telepathic control over the artificial limbs. the mishap also altered Octavius's mind, transforming him from a timid researcher into a criminally insane megalomaniac. calling himself Dr. Octopus, he turned to a life of crime, seeking to amass wealth and power and exterminate his arch-nemesis - Spiderman.

early incarceration was unable to stifle Doc Ock's twisted genius: when his arms were removed, he displayed the ability to control them telepathically over vast distances. Doc Ock has overcome acute arachnaphobia and a brief bout with death only to continue to plague Spiderman.

Doctor Octopus's Relationships

former secretary Angelina Brancale once fell in love with Otto Octavius after he transformed her into the beautiful - albeit dangerous - Stunner. but his most enduring relationship has centered on his hate of Spiderman.

Doctor Octopus's Mortal Enemies

through the years, Dr. Octopus has proven to be one of Spiderman's most formidable foes. their battles have been among the web-slinger's most brutal, testing the limits of Peter Parker's amazing abilities.

Fast Fact

Doctor Octopus once saved Spiderman's life just so he could someday be the one to kill him.

Really even with those steel tentacles he only has strength of 1? He seemed quite strong in the movie.

yeah, still 1..i don't get these power grid criteria stuff either. he's definately stronger than that.

maybe the power grid is not counting the strength of the mechanical tentacles? so without them, Doc Ock is nothing but a wuss?
