Chico
Well, I made my decision after much inquiries and deliberations. Thank you to all those ppl who have put in their two cents about the MacBook and the MacBook Pro.
So I went to the Apple Store at Sherway Gardens last Monday to check out the MacBook and got a lesson from one of the sales technicians there. They were really helpful and taught me a lot about this new computer. He made a lot of comparisons between the Macs and the PCs and how things are kinda the same, yet different. He was helpful and nice.
Some of my decisions were based on how much RAM I needed (1GB or 2GB), applications and programs I should add (iWorks or MS Office), any other accessories, warranty, and colour (white or black).
In the end, I actually bought my MacBook on the spot. I had my brother with me, so we got the student discount, which saved me a ton of money! :D That's always good!
I decided on 1GB RAM since all I'm going to be doing on this Mac is surfing the web, using MSN/Gtalk, watching DVDs, iTunes, etc. I ended up getting iWorks 'cuz I didn't want fake stuff. Also got the 3-year Apple Care Plan which is the warranty. And I forked out extra cash for a BlackBook. I wanted to be different from the norm and get Black book rather than a White.
So far, I haven't regretted my decision to get a MacBook! I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I'm enjoying the quirks that the Mac has. So far it's been a lot faster than my PC, which I like a lot. I have a better connection with my wireless when it's practically the same distance or further than my PC.
Right now, I'm still in the process of transferring my files from the PC to the BlackBook. I have about 15GB of music to transfer and I'm almost halfway through. Then I want to transfer my photos, and then some TV shows.
And if you haven't already guessed, I've named my computer: Chico. :P Thanks Jen! ;P
