13 Day Lay-Off

So it's been 5 days into 2008.

I recently took 13 days off work, and that's including the statutory holidays of Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.

I didn't go anywhere, and the furthest I went was Toronto, somewhere. But hey, it was all in good company! :) It would've been cool if I could afford to go somewhere warm, but not this Christmas, and right now isn't a good time to be away from family anyway.

The holiday was alright, I mean, it was great to be able to go to sleep late, and wake up late as well. My usual sleep range of 12am-6.30am shifted over to 5am-12pm. At least I got more sleep, but it totally screwed me up on my first day back since I had a lot of trouble sleeping the night before.

Anyway, the holiday was a real blur, but I'll see what I can remember:
- walking around the Harbourfront and eating at the Old Spaghetti Factory on my birthday
- going to the ROM, Vaughan Mills Mall
- various bubbleteaing
- preparing Christmas dinner
- karoake
- skating at Mississauga City Hall
- spending the afternoon downtown, skating at Nathan Phillips Square on New Year's Eve
- New Year's Eve crepe night
- skating at the Air Canada Centre

So my holiday was pretty good, spent with great company.

Resolutions? Hmm, I don't really believe in them, but I'm going to try and keep up with reading the Bible and try to be a little more healthy.

I hope that 2008 will have a lot more upsides than downsides. The past two years have been crazy with a lot of different changes around here, especially with my family. And right now, we just need to be strong for each other as we battle through yet another challenge. Praying to God for strength and perseverance for my family. And I appreciate all the prayers from my friends through this time. I thank you all.

2008. Bring it.
