More Updating

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone had a good time, whatever you were doing tonight. I didn't do nothing, I handed out candy, watched a bit of the Raptors game against the 76ers, and Kitchen Nightmares. I thought Smallville was going to be on at 10pm on the AChannel, but it turned out to be Love, Sex, Money show ..I don't even know what it's called. Oh wells.

So, yesterday I posted some new things, or rather, things I've been up to. I've neglected to mention that there were also other things I've done. I guess they just didn't immediately jump out at me in my mind.

I've been to this overnight art show that took place in late September. It was called
Nuit Blanche. It was interesting. I went with a few people from MCBC after a church event called "Love at Second Sight." The guest speaker is a Christian humourist, Phil Callaway. He was pretty funny! :) Anyway, NB was pretty interesting looking at art. I really don't know how to interpret art, but there were some things that really amazed me because of how intricately designed they were, or just the fact that you can actually see how much work they put into their art. I think the one that stood out the most to me was the onions that were made to look like a bird's wing. From afar, it actually looked like feathers on a wing, but when you take a closer look you see that they're onion peels. It was incredible!

Another thing I've seen took place at the Canon Theatre. I took in another musical, this time I went with Jo. We went to see
We Will Rock You. I've been eying this musical ever since I saw the promo for it when I went to see WiCKED. Both shows were amazing, unique in their own ways. WWRY was written by Ben Elton and Queen and of course it feature Queen songs. I think what attracted me was that they had Queen song in the show. I'm a fan of Queen and I know most of their popular songs (I knew most of the ones they had in the play). I thought it was really funny, and I would watch it again. I really like the creativity of it and how they incorporated major Toronto landmarks into the script as well as old classics acts like Sharon, Lois, and Bram. But enough about that, I don't want to ruin it for everyone else. :)

The musical I'm seeing is
Dirty Dancing and I could be seeing it as early as this month (being November) with my CT colleagues and then possibly again in March with Jo. Hopefully it's a good show. So far, I've had positive experiences! :)

I have beef. It's nothing major and it's really stupid, but it regards the new Mercedes SLR. Even though I would personally never ever purchase a Mercedes, this particular car reminds me of another car. Now if you're sensitive about sexual things, I suggest you just navigate to another website now, but it might already be too late as you may be intrigued. LOL :P Well, here's a comparison:

It's really the front end of the car that has any resemblance. So when I first looked at the SLR (on the left), the first car that came to mind was the Ambiguously Gay Duo's..vehicle. For those who don't know who the AGD are, they're from Saturday Night Live.

Anyway, I'm off! :) Maybe next post, I'll reflect on my MCBCSL captaining experience.
