F2006 Seekers - Game 4: 5-2 L
Another game, another loss. We're on a 3-game losing streak. We're like the Toronto Maple Leafs. Let's hope we can snap this 3-game losing streak this coming Sunday. We played this Optometry team called Seeing Eye Dogs, and boy were they dogs.
So cheap. There was one instance where I was chasing, and then some dude just cuts me off. Um, hey ref, that's INTERFERENCE. But oh well, I bodychecked him. Literally, but I made it look like an accident 'cuz well..it's INTERFERENCE.
I think it was really just one player that was playing dirty, and I think he was the oldest guy on the team too. Jerk. On another play, I think in the 3rd period, he was playing defence and was slow to chase the puck, so I challenged, and raced for it, and he saw that I would beat him to the puck, so he decides to slash my stick so hard that it made me fall over and lose my stick and crash into the boards. Suffice to say, he got a penalty for slashing. But man, if he broke my composite stick, I would've had a few choice words to say to his old face. :@ I was pissed.
In another instance, Bryan stick was broken, but honestly, I think that one was an accident. Bryan blocked a shot with his stick and a player fell on top of his stick, snapping it in half. It was funny though 'cuz after the stick broke, Bryan has to drop his stick right, so he dropped it, and then proceeded to pick up the two pieces, but everyone was SCREAMING at him to leave it 'cuz it's a penalty if he picks them up. HAHAHA..his reaction was pretty funny.
On another play..this one is so damn dirty. It was on the same play that I kinda tweaked my ankle a bit, but it's ok really, but Jackal got a knee-on-knee with someone. Some of our players said that the guy stuck his knee out. ...GRRR SO DIRTY!! Luckily Jackal was ok, but I'm sure he's feeling a bit of the affects of it.
SO that was the bad stuff. Well we lost, that's bad too. But the other team was good at blocking shots and deflecting them away from their inexperienced goalie.Belinda Melinda (happy everyone? I fixed it!!! :P) played well for us in goal, despite her oversized equipment. :P
In this game, I was able to come out with 2 points, a goal and a powerplay assist, with a 0 rating. My goal was pretty garbage as I just put it on the net and it just slide in. The puck didn't even get any air time and I practically shot it from just inside the blue line.
I assisted on Jackal's powerplay marker. It was straight off a faceoff that I won and slid back to Jackal at the point and he just took a quick wrister.
With this game, I thought we played well despite the outcome. Just need to work on passing, but overall a good effort by the Seekers!
