"In God We (Nearly) Trust"

is the title of the chapter from Come Thirsty (passages revised to the NIV version taken from BibleGateway.com):

• according to the Bible, the problem isn't the strength or kindness of God..the problem is the agenda of the human race..we pursue the wrong priority..our priority is WE
• God's priority is GOD! why do the heavens exist? to flaunt God. "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." (Psalms 19:1)
• why do ppl struggle? to display His strength
• "I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things." (Isaiah 45:7)
• the author of all itineraries. He knows what is best. no struggle will come your way apart from his purpose, presence, and permission
• what encouragement this brings! you are never a victim of nature or the prey of fate. chance is eliminated. you are more than a weather rane whipped about by the winds of fortune
• "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire,you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead." (Isaiah 43:2-3)
• God's ways are always right. they may not make sense to us. they may be mysterious, inexplicable, difficult, and even painful. but they are right.

alright, so some of you may be wondering, "hey, i thought you were going on a hiatus from blogging?!" here is the answer. i AM on hiatus, but on hiatus from blogging about what's going on in my life, blogging those boring miniscual details of what i've done over the past months, weeks, days, hours, seconds, milliseconds, you get the picture. i just don't feel like blogging about stuff like that right now 'cuz it's pretty much repetitive. it's go to work, come home, eat, go online, watch some TV, sleep. i'm sure you don't want to read about that everyday.

so yeah, i've decided this. for now, i'm just gonna be putting up lyrics of whatever i'm feeling like, plus other things, for example what i just put up above.

i'm giving it up to you my Lord. do as You will because Your way is the right way. all the hardships that we go through are little tests for us, to persevere to keep our eyes on the goal. on our priority - GOD.
