"I'm [Spideymang], the GOALIE!"
hahaha..so since Dave, our regular goalie for Seekers, is away on CCF Winter Retreat and no one else stepped up to play goalie..i offered my services.
i've always wonder what it would be like to play goalie on ice. i've played goalie before on foot and on roller blades. i didn't know what i was getting myself into. i thought it wouldn't be that hard to play goalie. i had all these images of what i could do on the ice. boy was i wrong! haha such imagination! i'm a much better goalie in my head than i was on the ice during practice last night!
it was a nice experience tho. now i know what Dave goes thru. lol, he's definately a better goalie than me! it's so hard to slide on the ice, and wearing regular hockey skates made it even tougher to play the position. if you didn't know, goalies have these special skates that have plastic around the boot and they're much lower to the ice surface than a regular skate.
i was so tired afterwards because of all the equipment and going down and getting back up with all that stuff on. my back was hurting after practice too! i felt so old! :P
anyway, the game is tomorrow, i get to play goalie, and hopefully i won't be embarrassed by the girls. ;P hahaha..actually i don't care, i'm a rookie, i'm allowed to lose my first game no matter what the circumstances are! i can blame the team! HEHEHEHEE! :P
next week is the Pointfore badminton tournament. it's the same one my team won last year (not sure what term it was, i forget, but i think it was a year ago this term, so W2004). anyway, i'll be a little tired for the tournie 'cuz i also do have a hockey practice at 8am and it's for 2hrs, but the tournie starts at 9am so i can't stay for the whole thing. anyway, we tried to keep the same team as last year, but it didn't happen 'cuz one of them is playing with another team this term 'cuz he already committed to them last term. so we got a replacement in Joseph. so this year it's Jane, Joe, and i. it'll be fun and of course, we'll try to win again! :D
i haven't done anything really exciting this week. but hey, that's Waterloo for ya.
alright, i got a test on Monday night, so i gotta do most of my studying tonight so i can watch the Superbowl tomorrow! GO EAGLES! :D
