Facebook and Two Movies

Why?

Why does Facebook consume so much of my own time? What is the draw of that particular website that keeps me from going back to it daily, or worse, hourly?

Honestly, it has overtaken MSN. I used to go on MSN Messenger daily. On that form of media, almost constantly. I'm glad to say that I've cut back on that significantly since my days in school.

Can I do the same with Facebook?

I guess I could..when the next new phenomena comes around...

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. I was warned about this movie. I was actually advised not to view this movie. However, I decided, how bad can it be? I decided to give the movie a chance. Maybe I might've thought it was a different movie from my friend. We could have different opinions about the movie.

Verdict? I want my two hours back.

Yes, it was THAT bad. What makes the movie Street Fighter? The names of the characters, maybe the costume of one of the characters and a homage to another character's appearance.

The names would be Chun-Li, Bison, Balrog, Vega. The lesser known characters in Nash and Gen. The costume of Vega was almost spot on. Lastly, Chun-Li's hair buns a la Princess Leia, made an appearance.

The acting. Horrendous. Neil McDonough was probably the best one out of all. Kristen Kreuk could never act in the first place. It's a martial arts movie, yet they only truly had one martial arts star, if you could even call him a star - Robin Shou of Mortal Kombat fame (Liu Kang).

The plot. Not even worth telling about. Honestly, the plot was horrible. The story wasn't even worth telling, and the title of the movie is very misleading. What legend of Chun-Li was the question I asked myself after the pain was over.

I prefer the original Street Fighter movie with Jean Claude Van Damme and Raul Julia.

Ugh.

I also watched The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. This one was at least better than Street Fighter: The Legend of Nothingness. However, it follow the template set forth in the previous Mummy movies. They make a discovery, they somehow bring the mummy alive, all hell breaks loose, protagonists saves the girl and defeats the antagonists, and all is good.

This one wasn't as funny as the previous two though.

I guess I'll go sleep now. I gotta work tomorrow. Even though it's Friday. Boourns.

Peace out.
