so that's been my life for the last couple days. eventful eh?

let's start on Thursday, Peace of Heart cell group. here's the deal. last week i noticed that Betty didn't say much, she was tired and all, so i told her about how i noticed and stuff. and she responded saying that i was talking a lot..which is good. haha...so then, i told her that since i talked so much, i'll say nothing next week, which was this past Thursday. anyway, so yeah, a long story short, i was able to stay quiet for the whole cell group! hahaha..BOOYA! :P

haha oh yeah, lent started too. i decided that i was gonna give up swearing. well not give it up, 'cuz like you're not suppose to swear anyway, but i'll try to NOT swear. i broke it a couple times already. it's just..automatic sometimes! it just comes out without you realizing it!!

ok moving on..

it was a pretty busy weekend starting with the hockey practice in the morning. i was originally planning on waking up at 6.30am so i had time to shower and stuff before the practice. yeah, i shower before practices because it's like a thing i have to do in the morning. i HAVE to shower in the morning no matter what or else i'll feel really gross and my hair gets all nasty and especially nasty since it's long.

but anyway, 6.30am wake up didn't happen obviously, i didn't fall asleep until 6am because i left my hearing aid on, thus i kept on hearing the clock ticking right beside me. coincidentally, i fell asleep when the clock stopped, which wasn't good 'cuz then the alarm didn't go off! grr! stupid clock!

so i woke up at 7.30am, Jon came to pick up the equipment for Jeff and i, while frantically used the bathroom. i think i set a record for myself with showering and washing up in like 10mins. anyway, then we had to walk to CIF 'cuz there was no room for us in the car. but we got there for the practice at 8am.

practice was alright..we did a lot of drills tho. i didn't go hard 'cuz i didn't want to tire myself out for the tournament. we did a lot of skating drills, and then some passing. i left halfway thru the practice since it was 2hrs long, and because i had that badminton tournament at 9am.

so..badminton tournament. it was the Pointfore Tournament, the 2nd tournie of the term. the first one was the A Knight To Remember tournie i skipped. the next and last one is the most popular and hardest one, Survival of the Fittest. i never play in that anymore 'cuz i just lose my first two matches and i'm out. pointless!

anyway..TOURNAMENT haha..so yeah, we started right away. my team consisted of Jane, Joseph, and i. we were played in Pool A, and were seeded 2nd out of all 3 pools. Pool A and B had 5 teams, and Pool C had 4 teams. each team in each pool play each other. it's a little complicated. since there are 3 of us, we make up 3 teams. in the round robin, each match consists of 3 games. we rank each player 1, 2, and 3. and the different combinations play against each other (1-2, 1-2, 2-3). the goal in the round robin is to win as many games as you can so you'll make the playoffs. we finished the round robin with an 11-1 record. :D good job team JBJ! :P

then came playoffs! we were seeded 2nd in the playoffs again. we won the quarter-final game against the 7th seed, 2-0. however, we lost to the 3rd seed 2-1. we got off to a good start by winning the 1st game in extra points (14-12), but we lost the next two with a combined score of (22-2) :( oh well, it was a good run. i was disappointed that we lost so badly, but oh well, it's just a game. i can get pretty competitive and the it brings out the worst in me. but i got over it. it was overall a good tournament. :D

Sunday was Game 3 for Seekers. we faced off against the undefeated Trogdor team. we lost the game 5-2. despite the score i thought we put in a good effort. their team was very solid, they had good puck control, even with a team with girls that make up half their roster. however, these girls were pretty good. better than those on the all-girls team.

we scored the first goal of the game in the 1st period. Jon fed Steve with a lead pass into their zone, it was a 2-0 break-away with Steve and i. Steve was able to deke the goalie and tuck it in the right side. however, Trogdors came back in the 2nd period with 3 goals. they added another one in the 3rd before we got our 2nd goal. Steve was behind the net with the puck and he nicely fed me the puck which i one-timed past the goalie on the left side. then they added their last goal.

this game was pretty encouraging 'cuz we were able to keep up with them for most of the game. i thought that if we could keep up with this team, we will be able to compete with the rest of the teams in C league now. from the time i joined this team in fall term, i've seen a lot of growth and improvement in the team. we're improving each and every game, even tho the score doesn't reflect it.

so that's hockey.

i need more deep thoughts. or random thoughts.

OH! i had a weird dream the other night. i forget who i was with, but it was crazy! for some reason, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were always after my buddy and i. Nash and Hall are wrestlers if you guys don't know who they are. but anyway, everytime my buddy and i were corner, some other person would interfere and allow us to escape. once we were in a pick up truck and drove right into wet cement, and then we flipped 'cuz yeah it's wet cement. then we find outselves in a townhouse complex. we break into a house and chill there for a while. for some reason no one is home during the day. i guess it's the weekend and everyone is out. anyway, so yeah, they track us to the house, then when they have us cornered again, the doorbell rang. they answered it (i dunno why?!?!) and then they get crushed by a pick up truck..haha..what a way to go..and then i woke up.

WEIRD EH?! anyone wanna interpret it for me?!

so yeah, i did a lot of studying in the past couple days. now i have a whole week and a half to relax before school starts up again. altho, i do have one more class tomorrow at 3.30pm, but meh! howeverrrrrr, i do want to get some work done over reading week too. like research on my CJS paper.

speaking of CJS, i'm starting to dislike that class. i think it's influence from my classmate, Grace, and from the textbook. it's such a hard read. the author uses too many big words that i don't understand. like c'mon! use basic English would ya..it'd make life much easier for students! gosh. and then there's my prof. he goes off in like a million of tangents. like can you stay on topic for once instead of using one of your anecdotes? sure sometimes they're amusing and relevant to the topic, but most of the time, they're not. *sigh*...

oh and then there's my H&F prof. he's so biased man. he doesn't have an open mind or anything, it's practically one-tracked. Jews are good, Germans are bad. yeah, we know that. but some of those Germans were just carrying out orders. anyway, my point..if he doesn't get an answer he doesn't like, he keeps going around until he hears the answer he likes, and then we move to a different topic. today, we were talking about Schindler's List 'cuz we just finished watching it. after like 20mins of discussion, i was so lost 'cuz we weren't even talking about the movie anymore. i started to fall asleep, even the Coke i brought to class wasn't helping me. what sucked was that all the ppl that were talking were sitting around me so it looked really bad when i was trying to stay awake. ah..what gives.

i like to bitch about my profs.

CJS - he goes off on too many tangents and tries to make too many jokes.
H&F - he is biased, and he talks too much and likes to say "but the question is..."
SoMD - he's kinda boring, but that's about all
S:MiF - i have no complaints, he's my favourite prof this term and last term. he's fun.

ok i'm done with bitching.

tonight, i watched 2 movies. Team America: World Police and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. both movies are interesting in their own ways.

Team America is kinda..messed up, but funny. haha MATT DAAAAAMON! hahahaha..and there was a good speech in it too; however, it's very...let's say..inappropriate. there are also scenes that are unappropriate. however, i thought the movie was really creative. must've took a considerate amount of effort to get this done with string puppets!

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou was weird. the music in the film was very..interesting. almost comedic. i think it's a dark comedy-type-movie. correct me if i'm wrong! but yeah..interesting movie and the dialogue in the movie is sometimes just so weird. it's abstract almost. but some of the scenes are quite amusing. :)

yeah i know my movie reviews suck, but hey, i don't want to spoil anything. so kiss my ass! :P

alright i've written enough.

yo B. i was just gonna say the same.. wut words do u consider bad? cuz u swore 3 times... at least. haha =P Now u made it easier for me to understand why movies choose the same castmates. Did u know who the girl is from that kung fu movie? How do u think she looks? I never noticed that Adam Sandler also choose the same people as well. Take cares buddy!!
